However, I do have issues with one of the teachers there Mr Morrison. I haVe a child who is ADHD & has always needed a little more extra time finishing and concentrating. Well knowing online schooling hasn't been easy for any child now that my child is forced to sit for hours on his computer makes it that much worse. Mr. Morrison knowing my child has ADHD has had no patience not only for my child but for many other students in his class and I am able to say this because I have witnessed him myself yelling and being extremely rude to the other children with no remorse!!!!! He's even went to the extent of making one of the little girls in his class cry. It has made me so angry with many attempts to give him chances but I've gotten to the point where I am now obligated to change my child's school where they will give him respect and the extra attention for his needs. This teacher is despicable and it saddens me to have to change his school due to having such a great experience there myself.

My child began the summer program at VPS before entering preschool. She attended PS, Pre-K, and…read moreKindergarten before we had to move away. Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

I would however challenge anyone to find a Christian among the staff, clientele, and teachers. In particular, it was found out that a teacher had been practicing a pagan ritual during the Halloween season. She had additionally invited the children and a few parents to participate (i.e. burning candles and making offerings to the dead). When "called out" about this ritual, the staff and teacher made "life very difficult" to put it mildly. This is simply one of many occurrences. Before enrolling, please do your "homework" and ask around the community. There are other options, as far as Christian schools.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I come from a Russian Jewish background and I am also Coptic Orthodox. I've…read morespent most of my life in public schools, but I wanted to share my experience at Aquinas High School. If I'm being completely honest, it was terrible. On my very first day, a male student called me a "fat bitch." The overall culture felt entitled and hypocritical--many people here call themselves "Christians," but their behavior doesn't reflect those values. As someone who values faith deeply, I expected more respect and compassion. Instead, I found students who lacked kindness and basic decency. I believe school should be a place where students can freely share their identity and personal beliefs without fear of ridicule. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Aquinas. I ultimately left and returned to my home public school, and I would never recommend Aquinas to anyone. In my heart, I do believe that sometimes God places people in difficult environments to remind them to lean on Him. Maybe this school is meant for those who don't know Him and need to seek Him out. But for students who already have faith, Aquinas does not provide anything more. A public school or a different private school would be a much better option. Also, I couldn't help but notice they don't have reviews up on Google, which is concerning.
