They also patched two holes we had in the wall from a prior water leak that we did not realize that plumbers will tear your wall up but not fix it. We were not aware of this before hand and would have gone to them as they do everything and left our plumbers out as it would have cost the same price in the end. Over all the doors were installed and matched to bedroom frame out with the arches and the paint on all the walls matched to where you cannot tell what is the old paint and what is the new. Thank you for your response. However, several points in your reply are misleading or inaccurate,…read moreand I want to ensure an accurate representation of events is documented. 1. Contract Termination & Payment Claims * You claim we were 9 weeks delinquent, yet work continued long after this alleged delinquency with no formal notice of termination until a group text message--which is not a professional or contractual termination notice. * The "delinquent amount" largely stemmed from a change order and a $2,500 deductible oversight, which was a miscalculation by both parties. This issue could have been discussed and resolved rather than leading to an abrupt termination. 2. Termination via Group Text Message * A contract of this scale should not be terminated via text message. A professional and contractual termination should include a formal written notice with a chance to rectify the issue. * Despite $58,500 already paid, you never issued any formal notices before terminating via text. 3. Access to the Property * We NEVER denied access. Zac had unrestricted access for nearly a year without any issues. * The only time access was adjusted was after multiple days of no response when we requested an update on the project and when Zac would be returning. As a safety measure, we secured the property until we received communication from you. * Once Zac realized he could not access the property, he reached out, and access was immediately restored. 4. Lien & Foreclosure Threats Despite Significant Payments * Even after $58,500 was paid, you invoked the contractual lien and foreclosure clause to demand immediate payment of disputed charges. * A portion of the amount you claimed was due included recoverable depreciation, which could not be collected until the insurance company completed a final inspection--something you were well aware of. * Instead of engaging in discussions about disputed charges, you chose to use lien threats as leverage. 5. Overbilling, Charges for Work Not Performed & Subpar Work * Your final invoice included $3,457.80 in disputed charges for work that was either not performed or not our responsibility. * Flooring installation was subpar and unfinished, requiring us to deduct $2,000 from the final settlement. * You also charged for work we personally completed before your involvement, including: * Popcorn ceiling removal * Tile floor removal * Insulation installation * Sheetrock work * We had to deduct $4,000 from the final settlement due to these incorrect charges. 6. Misrepresentation of Insurance Negotiation * You claim to have increased the insurance valuation by $30,000, but much of this amount was recoverable depreciation--which could not be collected until project completion. * Instead of waiting for proper insurance procedures, you demanded immediate payment for funds that were not yet available. 7. Final Settlement & Lien Waiver Request * We settled for $13,533.33 after removing improper charges and accounting for incomplete work. * Due to your use of the lien and foreclosure clause, we requested a lien waiver to protect ourselves from future claims, which was a necessary step given how aggressively payment was being demanded. 8. Misleading Claim About Communication & Emails * You state you "did not have emails" for certain individuals, but you had the property owners' email addresses and previously stated you would only communicate with the policyholders. * If communication was an issue, it was because of your refusal to communicate with anyone you deemed a 'tenant,' even when they were actively managing the project. Final Thoughts - Proceed with Caution * The project was left unfinished after more than a year, with no firm completion date ever provided. * Threatening foreclosure despite clear disputes and significant payments is an aggressive and unnecessary tactic. * Future clients should: * Get all agreements in writing, including payment schedules and firm completion timelines. * Document all conversations, payments, and work performed. * Ensure all charges match work actually completed before making payments. * Be aware of the lien and foreclosure clause in their contract. This response is factual, professional, and based on documented communication. Future customers should proceed with caution when considering this company.

We found Don Triplett and NTR through a friend's recommendation after we suffered a plumbing leak in our house. Our insurance company was giving us inappropriate advice, limiting our ability to communicate with them, and offering us pricing amounts that were far lower than the actual labor costs and the material costs could be done for. Don and his NTR team stepped in and everything changed. North Texas Restoration has a 24-hour emergency response, they work some weekend hours, and they operate a second shift. This meant their work on our behalf occurred during hours when we were sleeping or were handling the many challenges that a leak causes homeowners. The process of interfacing with our difficult-to-communicate-with insurance company was one that Don and his team took upon themselves. The result for us was that remediation and restoration of our home happened effectively and efficiently and with highest quality. The members of their team are all the highest professional caliber. These include a certified mitigation officer, contractors and carpentry experts, household packers, administrative and communication staff, and in-house council. All were honest, considerate, and professional. A plumbing leak or a fire are difficult experiences for a homeowner to go through. If this is the situation you are in that brings you to look through these reviews, know that Don Triplett and his North Texas Restoration team will be your advocate with your insurance company. They will make sure the job of getting your house fixed and restored will result in an even better than 'back to normal' environment to live in. I recommend North Texas Restoration highly.
