I had written a check and post marked it for 5/3 because i was waiting for my paycheck to go through over the weekend , but my landlords deposited it through an ATM on 5/2, and because Citizen's ATMs dont recognize dates, Citizens hit me with 'insufficient funds', and told me it's not their fault, but told me if a teller had put it in, it wouldn't have been put through until 5/3, so their loophole fell on me, and now i'm out $70 in overdraft fees because their ATMS don't read dates on checks, and it made another check bounce in the process :( Thanks so much for ignoring the fact that because your ATMs don't recognize dates that it is my fault, and not Citizens fault. What a joke !
What's the point of putting a date on a check if you just ignore it... so you can steal $70 from me ? read more
