However, their loan department lacks the sense God gave a goose. Brian, whom we ultimately signed with, was fantastic and apologized profusely for cluster f*** we went through due to the incompetent loan officers. That man deserves a raise!! They tried to deny my husband because they said disability income couldn't be counted as income( although he is actually working and that line was on his paycheck due to being out for surgery earlier in the year). That is the most insane statement I've ever heard! Especially since they could've taken his hourly pay and just multiplied it by 40 hours by 52weeks to see he clearly makes enough money. After explaining to them that's like saying social security doesn't count, he was magically approved. Wild. Brian at the Sawyer Drive location is really nice but beware when applying for a loan as the officers don't appear to be the most competent. I also was shocked to find I had to mail in my own 10 day pay off check.. normally financial institutions take care of that or wire the money to pay off the loan that is being refinanced but this was not the case.

If I were you, I'd find another bank -don't go to a bank that doesn't let you use the bathroom when you're giving them hundreds of thousands of your money to use. Don't go!

Their tellers stand at small desks with a computer and a small printer. I have never taken out cash here so I am not sure where they would get that from. She even went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, inviting both my dogs in to say hello! I have been walking by almost daily since moving back to the city. Anything that Monica felt was beyond her scope, she made sure to listen carefully; strategically approaching the challenges I presented with a "let's find out together!" approach, rather than acting "too busy" or worse, turning the questions back on me and making me feel insecure. I love that it is a physical location, a quick walk away from where I currently live for problem solving with a real human. Opened an account here with my wife. This bank is fantastic for one simple reason…read more It is one of the only banks that I'm aware of that has a no-minimums, no-fees checking account available. Called Citizen's Bank and B.O.A. --- all of these banks wanted to actually charge me a monthly fee in order to use my money and extend credit. Either that or they wanted me to jump through hoops like setting up regular deposits and etc. What?! Ain't nobody got time for that. Evans Bank was one of the good guys. No fees with no stupid rules or minimums (except the min of $25 to open the account in the first place). Matthew, the assistant branch manager helped us open the account and personable throughout the process. The account also had some nifty features: if you DO setup a monthly deposit and enroll in paperless checking, you get 1.25% APY and a refund on all ATM fees under $5. Now that's positive reinforcement I can get behind and rave about. Very cool bank that started in WNY and only has a dozen or so branches locally. I'm considering moving my other accounts here after the experience. Thanks, friendly staff!

I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have.
