First time I heard of something like this, I was trying to cash a check that was drawn on their bank. My bank said there was gonna be a 10 day hold on it for some reason which is strange to me since I always cash these checks every month, but I take it here because I was in the area and they said they couldn't cash it here. Only certain locations can cash Citibank checks to non members. I just found that very strange. It's a bank, it's their check, you walk in you would think that you would be able to cash it and conduct business. Strange and dumb policy they have. I'm also leaving this review as a warning to everybody else. Don't waste your time with any of their checks here if you're not banking with them. read more

They shredded my card without calling me after I talked to LESLIE. She said that she called me multiple times and I looked through my phone and there was no missed calls. She's a liar and they just want to make you get another card with them. Super disappointed now I have to get a new card and probably gonna get missed payments cause I don't know what was on auto pay. They need to hold chks from out of state for no less than 10 days as most banks do. It cost me $500 from my account due to their lack of security to put holds on out of state checks. read more

I think this bank is going to go out of business because there is absolutely no customer service. if you apply for a credit card they bait and switch. When it came time to pay out the advertised bonus of 300.00 , they only paid 150.00. advertised amount was a lie. I did my part and filing a complaint was a hideous experience. Dont trust the bankers. We asked for a safety deposit box a 3x5 and they stated they had tons of 3x5 but when we got there the manager stated they didnt have any available which is extremely annoying. Id recommend getting the bankers name for the future. read more

This review is on the Citibank policy. I have a Citibank credit card that I inherited due to a store credit card getting automatically switched over. I went into the bank to pay my $39.47 balance and close the card. I was NOT able to pay my balance because they DO NOT TAKE CASH! They only take a money order or check! What bank doesn't deal in cash?!? Then I was told I couldn't cancel my card in the bank either! Worse Bank Credit Card policies EVER! I can't even imagine banking here. read more

Absolutely has been 5 Star service during COVID and ever since. Chase on Hidden Valley was horrible enough for us to withdraw all of our money and open an account at Citi bank at that location. We've received at most customer service from the get-go. Every single time we go there, there is no line, and if there is, they open more tellers, customer service does their best to service us for our special requests and Karen has just been exceptional today with advising us with more options to get the most for our money. Absolutely has been awesome to be part of Citibank family. read more

There's a reason why this place only has 2 stars. Every time I have to walk into this location, I get anxiety because I'm anticipating a horrible experience and without fail it's the norm. I went in for a personal matter, was serviced by Karen Estrada. She had to call internally, she was constantly insulting me while on her call to figure out my issue, raised her voice to interrupt while I was asking questions, started yelling at me at one point, and kept making snarky remarks all throughout. Obviously she's highly incompetent to even engage in a civil conversation, let alone be around people handling sensitive matters. I guess citi is so desperate to hire just anybody. No lines, no greetings and my schedule appt at 2pm today 8/17 to open new checking account and cd account but my banker is having her lunch break somewhere while I am waiting. I have been reporting an instance of potential fraud to CitiBank for several years. Calls, letter,and emails go unanswered and the potential fraud continues. I am not a Customer of this bank and would never be a Customer given the total lack of attention to an instance of potential fraud. The bank's fraud department, Customer Service Department, Credit Card Department, etc. are all aware of the issue and still no action to address the potential fraud. read more

I want to rate this 5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot. The bankers are amazing, the tellers are always nice, but the Credit Card line is absolutely preposterous. I applied with my banker in the branch for a Double Cash card, we were approved for 0% interest for 21 months, so I started using the card. All of a sudden I realize my balance is going up, and I realize they are charging me interest? I speak with my banker and she is amazing, busting down doors for me, but unfortunately they still wont change the status of my account. I ended up paying the interest, but trust me, it doesn't end there. I pay off my Balance, and the next statement, I receive an alert on my phone saying I have a new balance of $8.09, so I call up the Credit line and ask them about it, the woman named Alexa informs me that Citibank is charging me interest on all the days that month that I didn't pay off the balance, instead of just charging me interest on the total balance on my next statement. So I paid it off over the phone after being Obviously irate, and asked how soon I can close the card. She says I can close it any time, so I tell her I would like to close it today, and her response is "Why? Could you give me a reason why you would like to close the card, sir?" I expressed that I am just done with the running around that Citibank has put me through, and her response is "I see, so you are upset with the way Citibank operates." and I said Yeah, sure, thats it. She then transfers me to another woman named Pam, who asks me the same questions, I explain that I am no longer going to pay interest to them and would like to close my account. Pam then asks if I would like to keep the account open and use my Balance Transfer with 0% interest for 9 months with a 3% fee, which at this moment feels like she spit on my face just to make it worse. I will no longer be dealing with Citibank, which is a shame because I really love the people At the branch. If you choose to go to citibank, DO NOT APPLY FOR ANY CARD OFFERS! THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY! read more

If I can give a zero I will. These people don't even try to help. These people are sooo rude I come in with my card which hasn't been activated yet and I thought I can go to atm and activate it there and when it wasn't working I went to the ladies (there were 2 of them) on the desk and I asked if they can activate my card and change the pin. She straight out told me I cannot he helped. Despite what she told me I went to teller to make a deposit and she help me easily changed my pin Norma is Amazing I want to give her a 5 star but the Veronica and Amanda Zero No effort on helping us at all. Not professional I'm upset and sad that these people who have a professional job are soo rude to people. I don't understand how they have no proper training in treating their customers. Don't trust their promotional offer. It's a scam. There's a lot of fine prints, but even after I completed the requirements they have not honored the bonus. Now they are going to put in a dispute. After months and more months of remodeling the front ATM is still 10+ years old? And they removed the shade cover so you really cant see the screen. This is the worst bank I have experienced. Extremely poor customer service especially personal banker. Unaware of processes, no knowledge of the products, just plain dumb staff and crews Amanda Woods plus Bank Manager. This bank must close as not keeping up with needs of customers. First, if I can give negative stars, I would! I went in to this branch to open a new account with a promotional offer I got through the mail. I was waiting and unfortunately a lady by the name of Veronica (Personal banker) came over with an attitude as if she hated her job asking me what I needed. I asked her a few questions in regards to the promotion and it was as if I were pulling teeth to get accurate information. Once she provided me the information in a very rude unprofessional manner, I still was willing to overlook her attitude and told her I wanted to open an account, that is when she rolled her eyes and made a face. At this point I had had enough and I asked to speak to her Manager, she told me he wasn't at the branch. I asked her for a name and a phone number she told me that she would give it to me when she was done with what she was doing; I told her couldn't wait until she organized and file the paperwork she was pretending to do so I asked her again, at this point she very rudely said I can go ask someone else in the bank because she didn't feel like giving it to me. This is when I went over to another employee a lady by the name of Amanda. I asked her for the managers name and number and she was oblivious to the whole situation and it was as if I was asking a two year old what the current interest rate on a 30 year loan. She had a blank stare on her face. Amanda then walked away and acted as if she was going to get information about the branch Manager, which I know she wasn't. Long story short this branch is hands down the worst bank I have been to with the worst couple of personal bankers. No wonder the place was empty. Beware stay away. I contacted corporate to report these two employees. It was definitely eye opener to see a couple of employees like this in this type of profession. read more
