I rarely visit branches these days but BOA is one of my banking spots that usually have me visiting the branch. It also seems that BOA is continuing their branch consolidation. Happily this spot is not far from me. This spot is right on the corner of University and McNab and they have their own lot. It is very easy to access from either side and it's an easy in and out. It's also very accessible for all with the long ramp here. My only current issue with banks theses (I am a former banker) is that they working with fewer people in their branches as so much information is available on-line. The issue is that i'm at the branch because the information I need or task I want to complete cannot be done on-line. The branch staff is extremely courteous and very helpful. I have to say, every time I have visited, they have provided fantastic customer service! And this is all through the drive through, as the actual office has been closed to the public (due to Covid-19!) Yes, sometimes you have to wait a little longer to get to the front of the line, but when I do, the tellers have always afforded me the same amount of attention I assume they are providing others ahead of me and with kindness. The inside is spacious and clean, they have a machine that changes your coins for cash and they don't charge you if you're a member. They have all the other services, loans, notary etc.They have 4 drive thru lanes, one for the atm. They have a private parking lot so its easy in and out.

Unfortunately, one banker was in his office checking email, the other was helping one man in front of me and another customer was sitting in the lounge. 2 bankers. And apparently they only run with appointments, so dont staff well for walk-in customers. I literally came to give them money and they were unable to help. Additionally, they didn't greet me until I inserted myself into the conversation. Prior I had called to discuss a promotion for opening an act and the banker on the phone fed me incorrect information. Literally, I verified later by calling the 800 number. The representative walked me through each detail as well as that the previous banker must of just been making it up as he went because there were no details remotely similar to what he had told me on the phone. It's kinda awkward for a bank to say they meet your banking needs but don't even have the flexibility to help you open account. Like, why be cheap, just pay for the staff and give your customers a good experience. Simple. I was told to come back tomorrow. Instead I went down the street to CitiBank where I was greeted immediately, they had 5 staff members, and was sitting with a banker in 10 minutes and was done in 15 minutes. Even the branch manager came in and introduced themselves.

Instead, even if you have millions of dollars in their bank, you can call your relationship manager and they will give you an 800 number to call instead of helping you with your problems. Other banks that I work with have relationship managers that own problems when they arise. If they don't know the answer, they will get you an answer. That's how banking should work. The only thing that relationship managers at Wells Fargo will do for you is sell you an additional service.
