My decision to get ketamine treatments was simple. I'm 40 years old, why not fix myself now and be better off for the rest of my life. This was my goal. I've felt a calling to ketamine for a few years now. I've never tried it until I started going to CIT clinic. I've watched many documentaries on ketamine and it was clear this is something different than just mushrooms. I found everyone at CIT to be extremely responsive, prompt, genuinely caring and compassionate. It's VERY clear, that everyone who works here LOVES their job and they LOVE helping people. That was my number one must have if I did these treatments. I have a lot of experience with psychedelics, set and setting are rule number one. The rooms for your treatments are VERY comfortable and cozy. They play PERFECT music for your journey on ketamine. You feel extremely safe, extremely relaxed and cared for. As for the ketamine? It truly is everything I've heard about. My second treatment, I saw a childhood trauma that's haunted me my whole life, on ketamine you're able to see it from...an outside perspective. When I saw this major trauma in my life, it was like a 'poison' that had it's murky, dark tendrils in me. On ketamine I was able to look at and confront this 'poison' I DON'T NEED THIS!!! I saw it for what it was, a pathetic bully. When I told my trauma to get lost, I watched it melt away and dissolve from me for good. I INSTANTLY felt 'fixed'. It's been a few weeks since this happened. Not only do I not think about this trauma anymore, I literally can't. Ketamine rebuilds Neuro pathways, this memory of mine is basically gone from my brain. It's a foggy, distant memory now. Ketamine is like someone deleted a bad file from your brain. To me, that's a miracle. I genuinely feel the best I've ever felt. So many positives from my treatments. It's hard to put into words how profoundly the team at CIT has positively impacted my life. While I have had previous ketamine treatments, the experience with CIT had been the most complete, compassionate, effective, and comfortable. Treatments can often stretch the limits of your comfort, and can bring up heavy feelings as you integrate your experiences and memories. You will be prepped ahead of time, and debriefed after/between sessions. The rooms are very comfortable, and you can utilize the level of stimulation (music, lights, etc) to your liking. I've only worked with Dr. Danforth as the administering physician, who is thoughtful and collaborative with dosing and care plans. I have spoken to Dr. Tibble at length on the phone, who provided me with a ton of information about their services and process. Joyce handles the scheduling and payments (and sometimes intake/IV starts), and is very responsive, kind, and skilled. The entire team exudes warmth. I recommend them highly to anyone who is considering ketamine treatment. I have been to both the Marin and Vacaville clinics, and both are great. While the entire team is fantastic, I have to give a special shout out to Oli, one of the guides. Oli has been by my side during each treatment, holding space, grounding me, asking gentle but pointed questions, and listening and reflecting with the deepest compassion and non-judgment. I can say with certainty that my treatments would not have been as effective without this guidance and support, though the ketamine itself does some pretty miraculous work (and some people prefer a solo journey). If you're seeking a truly excellent ketamine clinic, call CIT Clinics. The staff, which include both therapists and anesthesiologists (having both was one of my requirements of a ketamine clinic) are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and caring people. As background, I've had depression, anxiety and PTSD for as long as I remember. I am 56 years old and diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression. I do feel like I've tried every pharmaceutical solution ever invented for depression and several for anxiety. I've been in therapy for years and went through a pretty successful course of EMDR for PTSD. My memory and cognition had severely deteriorated and I recently went Into one of the deepest depressions I've experienced in years. My PTSD was also reactivated by an unfortunate incident a few weeks ago. I am on short-term disability for the depression, in the middle of a divorce, just moved into an apartment with my teens half-time, may lose my job, and have a variety of other pressing issues to deal with. Prior to this treatment, I was considering applying for long-term disability. I wanted to kill myself except couldn't do that to my kids. I had hit bottom. However, at CIT Clinics I recently underwent a course of 8 ketamine treatments in 4 weeks (typically it's 6 but I was afraid of psychedelics so started slowly) with two follow up treatments within about 4 weeks. CIT can treat you with NAD+ at the same time as the ketamine. NAD+ improves cognition and memory. I've received NAD+ along with ketamine during almost every treatment and my cognition and memory are better. I never thought I'd feel like this. Like "a real person". Normal. Strong. Happy. Joyful. Self-compassionate. Self-assured. Competent. Able to stand up for myself. More compassionate toward others. NOT DEPRESSED!!!! Wow!!! In two months!!! Life is not perfect and I experience ups and downs. And reasons to be stressed--so many of them. I just feel incredibly better equipped to handle those ups and downs. I honestly can't believe this change has happened to me. I hate to use the word "miracle", but after all these years, that's what this feels like. Please go into this process understanding that ketamine treatments are not merely another medicine. I am constantly reminded by the clinic that I need to practice self-care and journaling to incorporate what I have learned in and from the treatments into my life and my self. I want to make the most of these treatments and am doing my best to make these changes permanent. The changes I am experiencing due to the hard work of both the CIT staff and myself, with the aid of the ketamine and NAD+, are worth it. I should also credit twice-weekly sessions with my regular therapist with reinforcing these changes. I hope this review has been helpful. This is a re-post of my review for my experience in the Vacaville location. I was looking for Ketamine Assisted Therapy for my treatment-resistant depression & bipolarity. Their bedside manner, specifically the anesthesiologist, is bordering on horrible. Their response time is great- Oli, the ketamine-coach, is usually available via phone and is patient and kind. My main problem: The medical staff did not look for ongoing verbal consent, they didn't explain what was happening during my intake and started putting "vitamins" in my bloodstream without explaining consulting/asking for consent. If you engage with them, be specific about your needs for ongoing verbal consent, clear medical explanations, and a bedside manner that leads to feeling respected. The MD (anesthesiologist) dismissed my concerns by saying "it's natural- it's not the medicine, it's natural." When I asked for clarity on the medical meaning of "natural," I was met with frustration and "it's things that are already in your body." Again- that's not a medical response- it's dismissive. Oli, the person in charge of guiding/coaching me through the experience, admitted that the anesthesiologist is a great doctor but lacks a good bedside manner. I was baffled- why would you allow that with severely depressed folks?   Everything is paid out of pocket, which means that if they start any kind of IV bag (with or without telling you?) you are on the hook for the dollars. If you are looking for Ketamine treatments with psychotherapy, that is NOT the main thing this place offers. They do offer a legal space for therapists to come in and assist clients in a Ketamine session.  This was not clear to me until I carefully read and signed their paperwork before my first on-site visit. They offer COACHING to accompany ketamine experiences. The coaches are NOT THERAPISTS OR PSYCHIATRISTS. If you are suffering, I'm sorry, mental illness is so debilitating. If you use CIT, make sure you explain your needs for information and consent as things are being done to you. READ their disclaimers. Also, they don't have encryption, so anything medical you share will not be protected by encryption. Again, I didn't find this out until I read the proverbial fine print read more

I had a wonderful experience with CIT. It was my introduction to Ketamine therapy and after researching several different clinics in the area I decided to start (And will continue) with them. Their very warm, welcoming, unpretentious, and professional initial consultations separated them from the other clinics I spoke with. Before I entered the clinic in person I already had a rapport with a staff member who was a phenomenal guide. I was elated to see that the rooms were made perfectly to provide a comfortable and serene environment (Like, they seemingly hired a psychedelic interior designer/therapist with the goal and experience to create blissful and beautiful surroundings). The guides and the medical staff are all top notch and EVERYONE there is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, and invested into their client's direct and long-lasting wellbeing. I would have been happy with the experience from a strictly medical (I.E. the infusion itself, direct monitoring, and after care), that combined with their invaluable and integral therapeutic services set CIT into a different level than other clinics (I've spoken with friends and family about other clinics and they were impressed and envious of the level of care I received). I have struggled with anxiety and depression for all of my adult life and ketamine therapy with CIT has been much, much more beneficial for my mental health than years of trying a plethora of different psychiatric medications and traditional therapy. This review is being written eight months after my initial sessions and I'm planning on returning to CIT for another one.  One of the things that made me hesitant to try ketamine therapy was my history of having many "bad trips" with prior psychedelic experiences. I sought out ketamine therapy for my anxiety and depression and to work on personal issues (PTSD, grieving the recent loss of a family member, social anxiety, etc.) so the thought of having a psychedelic experience was slightly unnerving considering past trips I have had. The infusion method of administration is great for a individualized doses and provides the benefit of being able to increase dosage during your session. The medical staff was amazing and compassionate and were able to help with emotional state and every time it began to feel overwhelming (I requested higher dosages after the initial infusion) but the guides themselves were stellar in helping me navigate any level of anxiety I had and always brought me back to a calm state and truly made my sessions not only therapeutically beneficial but actually enjoyable.  CIT is a wonderful clinic and highly recommend them to anyone interested in ketamine therapy. read more

It is difficult for me to find the words to express how incredibly grateful I was to find CIT Clinic. They helped me crawl out of one of the darkest moments of my life. It is a daunting process these days to find a reputable, professional, caring ketamine clinic that follows the ethical and professional protocols (laid down by MAPS) needed to give truly good care. CIT Clinic most definitely does. I felt cared for from my very first conversation with Oli many months ago. I was suffering from a severe, long last episode of depression (over 3 years) and was feeling suicidal & very hopeless. Reaching out to a new doctor or new form of care in a moment like that can feel intimidating and overwhelming, but I never felt that way with CIT. It was clear from the moment I stepped in the office that this clinic knows what they are doing. The environment and setting feel kind and welcoming. I had such an amazing and positive ketamine journey at CIT Clinics. All my questions were answered and there was no pressure or judgment. I was treated like family. All the staff was warm, compassionate, and always went the extra mile. After taking a small tour of the different types of rooms, which include changes in lighting, music, space, and furniture I was able to pick the room I felt most comfortable in and kept the room throughout my entire journey. I felt safe as an anesthesiologist is the person who administers the infusion and titrates the dose since not everyone's dose is the same. I had looked around at other places but I knew CIT was the place for me. Most places keep you at the same dose and make you pay upfront for everything, administer the infusion, and you're left to figure things out for yourself. This is what separates CIT Clinics from all others, not only do you have a dosage tailored to you, staff checks in with you before and after every infusion, you also have the option of having a coach guide you through every infusion, and after your initial ketamine infusions you have the option of choosing a life coaching to help you stay on track. I took a leap and called for a consultation and after all of my questions were answered I knew CIT was the place for me. The guidance, support staff, and system in place is what separates this clinic from every single one out there. I am beyond thankful to everyone there and for the life changing experience. Words cannot explain how much I needed to jump on this journey. If you're on the fence about scheduling a consultation, go for it. This place has far exceeded my expectations. Started coming here for ketamine assisted therapy to deal with some gnarly depression I've been experiencing and have not been able to find effective treatment for. Kinda thought this place would simply be sufficient, nothing special. It has anesthesiologists on staff, which was important to me, as I most of all just wanted to feel safe. But time and time again, the staff exceeded my expectations, providing a level of care and concern and help that I didn't expect and was greatly appreciated, as well as greatly needed during this tough time. I've now worked with all 3 anesthesiologists, and all 3 were outstanding, really great, especially the husband/wife combo of Dr. Swift and Nurse Swift. And Oli's great at guiding the experience and making sure it's both safe and helpful. And not only are they great during the actual sessions, but Oli, the coach/therapist, and the rest of the staff are diligent about checking in between sessions and working with you to integrate the work you did in the sessions.
