I got there and saw a sign that said "Appointments Required" which almost turned me away but I decided to drive down the dirt road since the gates were open anyways. I arrived at the tasting room which was quite nice looking. After walking up to the counter the staffmember I talked to apologized for not having their private chef there but gave me the rundown of their offerings. The tasting price was unexpected but I guess I'm just used to how things were in the early 2000s when tastings in Sonoma were a lot more casual. I decided to just dive in and got two bottles to go. I think this place is more of a destination than I expected, which is cool, it was very much a nice spot to visit. I'll probably come back in the summer to get the full experience.

I also eventually changed my mind that red wine can be good:) We were seated indoors and Edd gave us the rundown of what we'd be tasting for the afternoon complete with stories and lots of fun facts. (I now look at any bottles that say "cold pressed" with some light skepticism since it's clearly only written there for marketing purposes!) We ordered a selection of the panini sandwiches, the burrata and butternut squash salad, and the charcuterie board. The fire cheese was delicious and the spread was perfect. Throughout lunch, Edd brought us different wines to taste and by the end we were most definitely sold on the Stone Soup (the red version). The olive oil tasting was so much fun. First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))

Was able to contact W.C.W.T. and schedule a trip for two on relatively short notice. All the pricing is on the web site and Fred the owner and driver can and will accommodate most requests. For example, we wanted more wineries rather than the cannabis tours, this is no problem at all. Having said that we did a brief stop at the Santa Rosa OganiCann just to check it out and indeed it is impressive even if you have been into other dispensaries. I am told it is the largest in Northern CA and I believe it. We then moved on to Healdsburg where Fred phoned in an order of sandwiches for us to pick up at the Oakville Market. From there with our lunch we continued on to Dry Creek and had a wonderful lunch with wine at the beautiful Ferrari-Carano Winery. We continued on to beautiful Sonoma Lake and had tasting at two additional wineries that we requested (Fred suggest Ferrari-Carano to his credit). Fred is professional, hospitable, and is very knowledgeable about the Sonoma Wine/Cannabis culture. His main vehicle is a Ford Flex Wagon that can accommodate up to six (five seems more comfortable). The vehicle is very clean and Fred will provide water and power for cell devices if need be. However, I would note that as you get up into some or the wineries a bit off the beaten track there is no cell service. Fred told me if you have a large group he has access to the larger and more van like vehicles on advanced request. Great trip to Sonoma and will return for sure.

This hidden gem winery is tucked away in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. It is absolutely gorgeous and provides an intimate and elevated experience that is definitely worth experiencing! There is a garden area that overlooks the vineyards that we enjoyed during our food and wine pairing and the views were spectacular. They also have a cave as well as a RTV experience if you are looking for a unique private experience away from it all. The service at this winery is excellent! Some of the tastings are with Mary Roy herself and these experiences are extra special since she is the owner, chef, and winemaker. She is an incredible woman that excels at everything she does. Thankfully for me, that includes exceptional wine and food pairings! The food is flavorful and phenomenal and they even have bees onsite where the honey is used to make their amazing chocolates! She walked me through a tasting of their organic wines and shared the story of the vineyard land, dating back to the 1800s. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is less tannic, which made it an appropriate purchase for me before parting for the day.
