I followed him around with my own little notepad, capturing the answers to questions I asked as he poked and prodded (literally, prodded!) the house, climbed up onto the roof and into the attic. Extremely thorough. And the report, OMG, wow. Forty pages of text and pictures detailing every room in the house and supplying detail of anything that looked like it wasn't right. A fantastic list of things to take to the seller. Jim has a good background in construction and since he's lived in Charlotte for years, he remembers what was going on when.
