I asked friends if they knew of anyone who does this and came up with nothing. I suddenly remembered this store and was wondering if it is still around. Sure enough, it is and looked on the website if they do relacing and they do! I was wondering if they relace vintage baseball gloves and took the shot and drove up there. Sure enough, they were able to take my gloves and relace them. The gentleman mentioned it would be ready by the next day. Dropped them off and about 2 hours later, I got a message that they're ready! That was so fast and a very reasonable price to get them relaced. I am so thankful for this store, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They love the sport and it shows. I thought this store was going to close about 20 years ago when I stepped in for the first time because baseball was dying. I got my first Rawlings glove here and still have it to this day. I've had customers fittings at my golf club and more recently in the relatively new PXG Store on Miramar Blvd in San Diego. I was considering upgrading my 3 and 5 fairway woods and dropped by the PXG Store on Miramar Blvd yesterday...just to schedule a fitting appointment. As usual, I was warmly welcomed and since they had an open fitting time immediately, I underwent an exceptionally professional and detailed fitting on the spot. The Master Fitter (Justin) conducted the fitting, working through all manner of data collection beginning with assessment of my current clubs and progressing to multiple combinations of club heads, weight adjustments, shaft options, and advice. At the conclusion of the lengthy fitting, I made the decision to opt for a new Lightning 4 fairway wood and a new Lightning 7 fairway wood, both of which provided very significant performance improvements in distance and control over my old clubs. These two new clubs actually will replace my two old fairway woods AND my 5 iron. Since I am a military veteran, I qualify for the Heroes Program discounts (very significant savings). The new clubs are being custom assembled and will be delivered to my home in 7 days. PXG and Justin epitomize professionalism, outstanding customer service, and the highest quality equipment!

I am often at this REI trying to find outdoor gear and supplies…read more I think I have figured out the layout of this place now so I know which sections to head to for my needs. Just also know that all their bike stuff is located in another building, so dont be disappointed. Its cool to have another building just for bikes and bike related gear. This REI also has a lightly used section. I do go and check out whats on offer there, but so far haven't found anything that works. The thing with REI is that you have to want the thing thats carried in the store and nowadays with so many options, REI won't always carry I what I need specifically... Case in point, cavers need specialized equipment as our needs are different than say climbers or canyoneerers. Yes, some things might be shared, but in general, cavers have very special needs. But, today, when I came in here, I did find a quick link I needed so that worked out nicely. I am also a runner and finally decided I need a fanny pack (I hate how the 80s and 90s ruined this item for me), so I also got one that was small enough that would be perfect for my runs. Service is always great here, very friendly and staff always trying to help. I like also that this REI has a community board in the back and I like to check out whats on offer locally. Really wonderful to have this REI here in Kearny Mesa, super convenient and I can go Asian grocery shopping right after! Win win!

I popped into the store today to buy a couple of accessories for my Stanley 40 oz. cup. I've been…read morein this store quite a few times and they typically have a HUGE selection of Stanley, Yeti, Owala, and Hydroflask drinking vessels in addition to other brands. Today as I browsed around, I noted that the store was overwhelmed with World Cup gear which is cool, but the merchandise that I saw, including Jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, etc., was really crowded and disorganized and it looked like the Tasmanian Devil had whirled himself through it. The aisles were also impossibly packed with stuff, and it made passing other customers an obstacle course. Anyway, I also walked past the flip-flops with the intention of possibly purchasing a new pair for the summer. Leather Olukais were almost $90, simple Havaianas were over $40, and plastic Birks were $50. Needless to say, I didn't buy any... I'll stick with my beloved & comfy Reefs that I bought last summer. Finally, I walked over the water bottles... There was one type of Stanley straws available and they were $11.25. I looked online and the same straws were originally priced at $15 , but were on sale for $9. There were no Stanley "boots" in the store, so I couldn't get one of those. They had some made by another brand, and a few Owala ones, but none of the colors worked with my tumbler. So I just decided to get the straws. I asked the cashier if they honor online prices, and she said they did which I appreciated. She looked at my phone and said, "oh these other straws are the ones that are on sale." I said, "these straws (in my hand) are the only ones that you have in the store." And then she agreed to give me the discount... Keep in mind that the prices of the same item were different online vs. in store, and then the higher priced straws were discounted even further. Buyer beware... I left the store with my straws in hand, and a burning desire not to return to this store again, unless I absolutely have to, as the shopping experience was mediocre in my opinion. Mahalo!

The slowpitch cages seem to draw everyone from first timers having fun to local league players getting in practice swings. The pitching machines are accurate most of the time, but you'll occasionally have to adjust to a wild pitch. It can also get frustrating when a cage is down or the balls get stuck, since there usually isn't an employee stationed at the cages. When it's busy, people generally take turns. I do like the shaded picnic benches, grassy area, and nearby pro shop. You can get a reloadable card there, then swipe it at the cage and press the button to start. This weekend, my boyfriend and I also got a bucket of 250 golf balls. I hadn't swung a club in years, and I had back surgery a few months ago, so I was extremely rusty.
