My 11 year old came home with her younger sister after being gone maybe 15 minutes to tell me that when they were in the store the worker accused her of stealing because 2 random other shoppers told her they were. My daughter (who is 11) while looking for her money had placed the item within her bag so her hands could be free. She's 11. And this overzealous employee searched my child's bag without a parent there, threatening to call the cops if they came back. My child came back traumatized because she was going to pay for the single candy item. Also, what child do you know that shoplifts and immediately goes and tells their parent. So I went there, with my kid, who a minimum wage retail worker thought was acceptable to search over what she presumed to be shoplifting, prior to any merchandise EVER leaving the store. I was met with this. I have an entire video of this lady screaming about how she swears my kids were stealing based off what 2 random customers said. No one ever explained to me though why my child's bag was searched. She admitted it when I was there, and stated it's company policy to lock the door on children who they suspect shoplifting. At this point my child's rights matter substantially more than a piece of candy. I'll be making further complaints to boli and the bbb.

Most of the employees I talked to spoke perfect English until I mentioned that I got injured in their store and would like to talk to HR they all of a sudden don't speak English anymore. The guy in charge says their HR will call me but after I had to call them back days later he proceeded to tell me it's just him and they don't have an HR. I am now going in for surgery on Monday morning to put titanium f*cking plates in my foot and if I don't do this surgery my quality of life will deteriorate I'm looking at a life long disability and I'm looking at a 6-12 month recovery time....my summer is gone all the trips I had planned are gone my independence is gone and my mental health is at an all time low. I have zero money to repair what these people have caused and I can't work. I now have to waste 6 months of my life in bed due to the negligence of these employees not to mention the sheer judgement I receive anytime I go to this store with friends. I received zero help when I fell all I got was employees staring at me like robots. I'm young and this put a HUGE dent in my life. In that time I was surprised at how many of the products were now Winco brand rather than name brands. Bulk oatmeal had so much "fines" in it that after sifting with a colander there was about 3 cups of instant oatmeal rather than whole oats. Then looking for 36 oz of Adams peanut butter..no more only Winco brand which is made of hydrogenated oil!! Holy crap that stuff is awful for you!! One tiny jar only all the rest was hydrogenated junk! I prefer name brands as company brands are often inferior of quality and and sure is with Winco products. They do have a good deli and their meat quality is good, especially prices! I will still probably shop here but be looking for better prices on certain items else where! I expect long lines and crowds and try to shop when the crowds are less.
