Three Medium coffees, 3 muffins & a NY post only cost about 9.00 all together the paper being the most $2.00 I couldn't believe the more then reasonable prices! Loved having small talk with the locals in the back while preparing my coffee. I went back a 3rd time that day to get more supplies. They pretty much carry anything you need. My elderly parents also called when they got home to say they stopped their on their way home and the more then helpful clerk helped my dad bring out his coffee to the truck along with his change. We've already made the CC company it was put on aware and they asked us to first try resolving it with the merchant. Since they haven't done so, we will be disputing the charges and maybe ought to have the PD check into the extra charges as well. How often is Kristen doing this on anyone else's card? How did his card get used for 2 additional purchases for such odd amounts? If I were customers, I'd double check charges at this location. A neighbor told me that Haffner's is a mid-sized business based in northern MA that does oil, propane, gas station/convenience stores between MA and NH, so at least this company has the experience to run a place like this. You may have noticed the gas is now more competitive for the area, not 5-15 cents less per gallon. I went in and it has the same craft and branded beers, some beneficial changes to the deli in terms of quality of meats, and they still have pizza. It may still be too early to figure what changes they will make, so let's watch this carefully. We know the last owner really ran this place as a political action office, not a business, but a hobby. Gone now are the political signs, the disparaging cartoons of politicians at the pumps, the front-door sign saying "we love freedom so take your mask off". As you can see in the below reviews, they unapologetically urged many of us to go elsewhere. The thing is, how many other places are there in town with gas, food and groceries? - actually 4 others, and we went! So now the old owner can publish his business plan: (1) Buy a run-down business in a prime location in a town of about 5000, and pay to bring it up to modern standards, improve grocery options, offer food and pizza. When some hear me say that a gas station is our goto pizza place when visiting the area, they may think I misspoke, but the truth is, the Meredith Station, aka Mobil, has the best pizza in the area. If you're not in the mood for pizza, their subs are also really good. They also offer coffee in a variety of flavors, a huge assortment of soft drinks and other typical goodies that are commonly found in convenience stores that one may need for a day out on the water or for a quick refresh when passing through town. In addition to good food, the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. During holidays they decorate the grounds with season-appropriate items, such as scarecrows and mums in the fall and pretty flowers in the spring and summer. Overall, the service is quick and shopping here is a great experience.
