That being said I thought they had a decent selection of everything I was looking for. The produce outside offered a good local selection. They had a surprisingly good selection of craft beers too. Having worked at a small meat market when I was younger I am a meat snob. The meat all looked great and my purchase was delicious. My first day on vacation I stocked up for the week and one of the young kids walked out to help me load the car. According to the sign they offer this to all of their customers. I loved that. The few kids I spoke with in the store were very friendly, talkative and helpful. P.S. I agree with the other poster about the parking lot. It's a horror show at peak times.

Yesterday, I went to Market Basket in Tilton, NH to pick up some groceries. I got to the check out,…read moreput my groceries on the belt for the cashier and realized that I forgot my wallet at home. I Bank at Camden Bank so I asked if they could hold the groceries while I went to the bank to get some cash. Luckly, I go to that branch often and they know me so I didn't need my ID to take some cash out. I went back to the store to pay for the groceries and when they run them up, I was $7.00 short. The young gentleman at the register took out his wallet and pulled out the $7.00 to pay the balance. I told I could just put a couple things back but he insisted so I let him. When I go back tomorrow, I am dropping off an envelope for him with a thank you note and the money to pay him back. This was completely unexpected so I felt I wanted to acknowledge his thoughtfulness. Thank you.

Not only do they totally ignore the customers, each sub takes 10-15 minutes to make, and they make one at a time. Phone orders throw things into reverse. An automatic answer is that phone orders take 45 minutes. In person orders average 30 - 40 minutes. On top of it they are miserable. More than once I have seen customers complain. Nothing changes.
