No road trip to Austin feels complete without a stop at Buc-ee's off I-35 North near New Braunfels…read more Whether you need a bathroom break, a quick breakfast, or snacks for the drive, this place always delivers. The snack selection is endless--perfect for keeping you energized or, if you go heavy on the carbs, ready for a nap. Despite the constant crowds, the restrooms are consistently spotless and spacious, which is a reason enough to stop. Prices have definitely gone up, but Buc-ee's is still worth the visit. Stretch your legs, stock up on snacks, and enjoy one of the biggest Buc-ee's in Texas. It's a road trip tradition that never gets old.

This 65k+ Sq Ft mecca of goodness has the cleanest bathrooms in the stretch between San Antonio to Austin with delectable eats, an endless wall of fountain drinks including Arizona products (you don't see that anywhere else), and most importantly, the roasted pecans. There's over 1000 reviews here so my review just adds to the noise and means nothing. There's the typical Buc-ee's merch if you need to brag to everyone. There's your fudge, your jerky, your BBQ sammies, and your beaver nuggets. The world is your oyster, but to my knowledge they don't sell those. RIYL: BRISKET. ON THE BOARDDDD

There's tons of parking and lots of pumps. I was traveling with my baby for the first time so having space away from everyone while we settled into what we needed to do was perfect. We grabbed the very last pump and no one was near us, which let us take our time. The bathrooms are large and we used a big handicap stall which had a changing table AND sink in it. It would be helpful if they had a sign noting that as it's very much a family stall (not just handicap) Overall a good Buc-ee's and a great stop

I ended up in Texas because of a guy with a Buc-ee's T-shirt…read more About year ago while shopping for groceries at Freddy's (aka Fred Meyer) I saw some guy confidently wearing a red t-shirt with a cartoon looking beaver on it. I was like, "Um, ok, what's that about?" I got home and looked it up. I found out it was Texan company. Then I decided I wanted to visit the biggest Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State. We landed in San Antonio and rented a car. Thankfully it didn't have a California license plate. We drove to Luling on our way to Austin. We pulled into the Buc-ee's parking lot. We saw the gas prices. Gas in Texas is more affordable than Washington State. Took a photo with the metal critter in front of the entrance then made our way into the store. Spacious, busy. Bathroom was clean. We picked up some brisket sandwiches and some sodas. Food is more affordable in Texas. We also bought some souvenirs to take back home including a red shirt with the beaver.

Granted, it is my fault that I always wait until my car is on E to roll in to fill up a few bucks of gas (their prices are sky-high year round), but it's awful. No matter which pump I've tried the buttons for "is this a debit card?" NEVER work! None of them! It's flipping frustrating and the staff acts like you're doing it wrong. No, the machines are so old the buttons have been mashed to death. The other day I stopped in for a soda and the ice machine wasn't working. They said "you just need to hold your cup against the button". I stood there over a minute and they said "just keep holding". thanks but no thanks. I put my cup up and left. I feel they only stay in business due to their beer sales, but even then they don't have many choice in cans, which is dumb considering the rivers in town. I wish they'd update it and have working pumps and ice then maybe I'd go back

My visit to Tex Best was extremely disappointing. After a long drive, I stopped in hoping to grab a…read morerefreshment and cool down, but instead I walked into what felt like a sauna. The air conditioning either wasn't working or was completely ineffective. The store was uncomfortably hot, and several employees appeared to be sweating heavily while working. The prices were another shock. I ended up spending far more than expected for just two drinks, which made the experience even more frustrating. I was also concerned by what I observed in the food service area. Employees were using their phones while working around food, and I did not see gloves being worn during food preparation. One food service employee, Abigail, seemed annoyed that I wanted to place an order. After seeing the condition of the food area and the lack of professionalism, I decided it wasn't worth purchasing food. Overall, the combination of excessive heat, high prices, questionable food handling practices, and poor customer service left a very negative impression. Management needs to address the air conditioning issue immediately and take a closer look at food safety standards and employee professionalism. I will not be returning and would encourage others to be aware of these issues before visiting.

So we decided "eh let's give this place a shot instead" on our drive down to San Antonio. And to our surprise, this place was actually really solid. No, it doesn't have the SHEER square footage of the NB Buc-ee's, but it has nice clean plentiful bathrooms, a good assortment of snacks, drinks, useful trinkets, and toys, as well as a buy-at-the-counter deli with fresh hot food and many tables to sit and eat inside. Honestly, all our needs were more than met stopping here and it took probably less than half the time fighting the onslaught of cars/people always swarming like ants at Buc-ee's across the freeway on the weekends. If you find yourself in a similar conundrum (and don't have any beaver-related business needs), just come here instead! Also the Exxon pumps have tap to pay. Yay!
