Sunday, 5-31-2026: I had seen & heard about this place from family and on TV. This place is huge!…read more They should at least have a couple of Buc-ee's in every state. What a crazy, unexpected concept! They have everything here. It was definitely sensory overload for me. It was crowded with locals & tourists. It's very organized and clean. The restroom was impressively clean. We mostly bought snacks. Love the warm candied nuts like pecans. We left without exploring the entire store due to the crowded conditions. We were checked out quickly by a friendly cashier. Definitely will return.

As much as I love Buc-ee's, I had a really disappointing experience today…read more I usually buy bakery items, snacks, and fuel, but this time my child grabbed a chicken and fries basket with ranch and ketchup. Since I was already carrying several things, I set the ranch cups and ketchup packets on top of my closed purse while heading to checkout. At the register, I handed over the food basket, ranch cups, pastries, nuts, and everything else. We spent about $75 on snacks and another $60 on fuel. Then the cashier asked, "Ma'am, are you trying to steal ketchup?" I was completely caught off guard. I have never stolen anything in my life and honestly didn't even know ketchup packets were something that had to be paid for. When she asked how many I had, I told her 3 or 4, and I immediately paid for them. There was never any argument or hesitation. It was simply an honest mistake. What made the situation upsetting was how embarrassing it felt to be accused in front of other customers. Maybe there was a sign posted near the hot food section, but I didn't pick up the food myself and never saw it. I just wish there had been a little more understanding, especially considering we had already spent well over $100 in the store. A simple explanation that the sauces were an extra charge would have gone a lot further than making me feel like I was trying to steal. I still love Buc-ee's, but I left feeling embarrassed and disappointed.

I am reporting two negative issues about this store:…read more ------------------------ 1) FIRST ISSUE: ------------------------ People with physical disabilities have MAJOR access issues inside this place. I have asked the clerks, on numerous occasions, to let the owner (Maurice) know that the obstacles set up in the middle of the isles block access for individuals with disabilities and are out of compliance with ADA access laws. Last night, one of my wheels got caught on one of the many displays they set up that blocked the access isle. I could neither go forward nor backward and I could not get dislodged from the obstacle. Luckily, a nice person (a customer) entered the store, saw the predicament I was in, and was able to help me get free of the obstacle. Today, I contacted the main office. The person I spoke with promised me they will correct the problem and get the store into ADA compliance by wednesday of next week (by June 12, 2013). I hope she is right, but I am not holding my breath. -------------------------------- 2) SECOND ISSUE: -------------------------------- My 16 year old grandson had been working all day (as we all had) to help his mother, my daughter, get moved. It was late (but it was before closing time) and we were tired and we all wanted something to drink. My daughter took my grandson to this Pit Stop and my grandson went inside to get us some drinks (cokes and the like). As my grandson was putting the various drinks on the counter, one of the fountain drinks slipped and fell. The lady behind the counter became belligerent and called my grandson a punk (and a few other derogatory names) and told him to leave. She would not allow him to buy any of the soda's, even though he offered to pay for the one that fell. She told him he did it on purpose. She kept calling him a punk (and another derogatory name I will not mention here) and demanding that he leave the store. He left. A telephone call from me to Maurice the next day about this incident (left on Maurice's answering machine) brought us NO REPLY what so ever.
