The truck stops you see are not all bad. I definitely recommend the TA's, Love's and the Pilot's. Especially if there are eats attached to them. Some TA's I know of have the breakfast buffets that are good values and yummy food. They also have things you might want to buy inside the establishment too. The restrooms are always clean. Very cool place to stop at to get gas or food or things. Trust me. Try it out. They might have cheap gas too! read more

I was disappointed with the H‑E‑B in Wimberley, Texas. I lost my dog's leash and stopped in hoping to buy a replacement, but the store did not carry a single dog collar or leash. I was surprised, especially because Wimberley is a popular tourist destination and generally very pet-friendly. read more

Stopped here as a bathroom break towards our destination. It is a travel center with several gas pumps. Inside it has showers and laundry for the truckers. The women's bathroom was okay. It had toilet paper and paper towels. It needs to be cleaned up a little. There were many toilets but the floors need to be swept. There were many sinks and a large counter top but the counter needed to be cleaned as it was covered in water. They have fast food for the people that are in the mood for Popeyes or Subway. read more

However, I still had about 2 more hours of work to do, but after my interaction with the cust serv rep, Sky, my energy went to level 10, like I had just popped open an energy drink or something. Work Order# 232-312453 Truck service work order# 312453 I decided to use the app set an ETA for New Braunfels TX location @ 1400. That was for an ETA OF 1700, I was immediately met with no one at the desk both Managers were out front smoking a cigarette talking. As they watched me walk in and did not attempt to help me or acknowledge my presence. That was @ 1644. After about 5-7 minutes I was greeted by the mechanic on duty and checked in. He told me to park in front of Bay 5 and someone would pull me in soon. I was not pulled in until 2030. The tech completed his job with the PM and the coolant hose he was great but the Manager Dom was not. Dom (the manager on duty) lied and said he witnessed the tech torque my oil plug. He made that comment on the paperwork (please se below) I knew that was not true So I asked the tech, and he said he did not watch him do it. So I asked if he would come do so, as he said he Did on the paperwork. Initially he refused (lying) saying he had already watched him torque my oil plug to 59 PSI. Then, not until I began to call the corporate office to complain about the poor service, that he gave in and decided to live up to the (LIE) he put on my paperwork. If he would (LIE) so easily about something so simple. My only question is. How is Dom at New Braunfels, TX TA a Manager in your repair shop? TA you must do better O/O depend on reliable and honest work from your company especially when we are spending upwards of $500 on PM services. I am asking that this issue is immediately resolved and all parties are properly trained to keep O/O, drivers and their equipment safe and on the road not broken down because of (LIES) and laziness. read more

The inspector for 120 day inspections paid attention to detail. Scott in service is the new manager, replacing a less qualified individual. He is trying to make customer service & the maintenance issues a better experience, than in the past. We had an advance appointment & once the paperwork was straightened out. It was fairly quick. The counter help is a bit inexperienced, partially due to a new computer program. read more

On my way to a Church Anniversary in San Antonio, I got a flat tire and had to pull over. I parked at the TA in New Braunfels to put on the spare tire. It was very hot and I admittedly am not very good with cars. One of your employees, Farmer, saw us and came over to change my tire with the spare quick fast and in a hurry. We offered to pay him but he said that he just wanted to help. It is great to know there are still people in this world willing to go above and beyond to help their fellow neighbors. My husband and I was on our way to San Antonio church Anniversary , and our tire ran a flat. We were able to get it to the nearest gas station/truck stop TA. My husband isn't good with cars , while fixing the tire . There was a mechanic name Farmer that works there changed his tire for him quick and fast .we made the Anniversary on time. I found one of my tires on my semi to be flat, so I took it in for a peek. They looked for the flat for about good 30 minutes, and told me that it was leaking on the side wall, showing me the white chalk circled around it. I should have verified the actual leak, but who doubts "professional" shops like TA. Since I didn't like the price they showed me for a new tire, I told them I would just pay for the diagnostics, and since it holds air, I would take it to my tire guy nearby . When I got to my tire guy, I found 2 ridiculous things: 1. I found 2 lug protector caps sitting on my catwalk, and rest of it, I assume, all over the Interstate. I called to complain and ask if they have them there, and they told me that it was very unlikely that they would forget such thing, and that the manager would get back to me after reviewing the video footage. You guessed it: I never heard from them. 2. When my tire guy looked at the "flat" tire, he told me he couldn't find the hole. He even dismounted it so he could look at the inside. So the "chalked circle" was a cover for their time spent, or a scam to get me to buy a new tire. Yes, I had to pay my tire guy for removing the tire from the rim. So, I paid twice for a tire that was never flat. I am shocked and disappointed that TA would do this to me, and only guess how many other drivers they fxxxed over the years. This place was terrible from the staff to the restaurant Prices were makes different than what they charged. The restaurant should be closed down. The food wasn't tended to, it looked like leftovers, dry and gross. The salad was okay but the soup was old even the green beans were soggy! Do not expect customer service here. They mess up on people's orders for gas then make you wait in line to fix it. Make sure you go to the correct line or they will make you wait again. I get its s busy station but the lack of courtesy and training is unacceptable. read more

It is infuriating that a place with this much parking cannot have one of their three restaurants open past 10pm. Not everyone drives early days. I do not appreciate having to buy overpriced sandwiches after driving 11 hours. With 220 trucks parked here, seems to me you are losing money by not opening at least one of them. If you are a trucker or not it doesnt matter long as you have an appetite and need fuel. This place has everything, and I dont even drive a big rig. Id watch out for the rigs as you drive in though because they are in and out all the time. Theres about 3 restaurants inside, and the workers here are pretty friendly. read more
