The machine I had to use had multiple issues requiring multiple resets by an employee who was very uninformed. When I tried to pay cash, the machine would not recognize the 5$ bill I inserted. This resulted in a LOT of time and multiple employees to figure out what to do. Instead of employees standing around watching customers checking themselves out, and rudely getting in the way with giant carts holding on line orders, maybe Kroger could pay them to service customers personally, reducing the time and aggravation of self checkout issues. The items I was after were stocked well, priced a bit high, but easy to locate and in quantity. The store is clean, and well kept for the most part. Normal wear and tear, and age is noticeable on the building along with the floors and ceiling. Nothing crazy, but noticeable. Overall, solid Walgreens location. 1 STAR -- MAYBE CHECK THE TRUCK BEFORE DIAGNOSING IT ‍…read more Love's Truck Care in Mt. Juliet, TN... you guys seriously need to send somebody back to brake school. I came in for a simple TRAILER BRAKE ADJUSTMENT. Before even properly looking at my trailer, I was told I needed NEW SLACK ADJUSTERS. Apparently they have X-ray vision now and can diagnose bad parts from across the shop. Then they told me they wouldn't adjust the trailer brakes. Alright... no problem. I called a third-party mobile mechanic. He showed up, actually looked at the brakes, made the adjustment, and was DONE IN UNDER 2 MINUTES. Two minutes. No new slack adjusters. No parts cannon. No big repair bill. Just someone who knew how to adjust the brake. If you're going to tell an owner-operator that parts need replacing, maybe actually inspect the equipment first. Truck drivers already lose enough time and money on the road. We shouldn't have to worry about being told we need parts before anyone even checks the truck. Love's Mt. Juliet: before trying to sell truckers new parts, maybe invest in some training and teach the shop how trailer brakes and slack adjusters actually work. Save yourself the headache. Based on my experience, if you need a simple trailer brake adjustment, call a mobile mechanic. He might have you back on the road before Love's finishes telling you what parts they think you need. ONE STAR. The mobile mechanic earned the other four.

One thing about the Nashville area is that the gas station game is not strong at all...so any chance I get to pop into a RaceTrac or QT around town, I take it! For reference, RaceTrac's are massive back in Atlanta...and I miss them so much! Now that I got my fan-girl moment out the way, I popped into this RaceTrac to top off the ole tank and grab a snack/drink. I love the RaceTrac coffee machine's, so naturally I scooped up an Iced Coffee for a short drive home to East Nashville. The store was clean, well stocked and in decent condition for a gas station. While I do not end up in Hendersonville often, I now have an extra reason to go that way on occasion!

I was greeted as soon as I got to the store (I believe her name was Sam), and not only was she very welcoming and personable, but she also had some snack style samples offered-and let's just say I'm pretty sure I just found my new favorite snack-Strawberry and blueberry pretzels! Then, as I was doing my shopping, I had another employee (I'm so sorry, I didn't catch their name!) ask me if I was finding everything ok, and I replied with what I was on the hunt for (a very specific vitamin) and they showed me right to them, and asked if I would like some help finding anything else! Honestly, I can't remember the last time that I went grocery shopping and had someone ask me if I needed help finding anything, so this interaction really stuck out to me. As I went to check out, I was greeted with a SMILE and a "how are you, did you find everything ok today?"....checkout was fast and friendly! I just felt like everyone working there went above and beyond to make my (usually dreaded) shopping trip enjoyable-from being helpful, to simply smiling at me as we walked past each other, and even the bonus snack samples. The places I normally shop at (closer to my place) seem to be filled with employees that have a "ugh I don't want to be here right now" vibe (if you know what I mean), and I think that after getting used to seeing that all the time, and then coming here and having this experience today is a pretty darn good reason for me to break up with my old grocery stores, drive a bit farther and just come here from now on.
