After fueling up I decided to go inside and ummm freshen up some, there was a guy sitting at the outside table on his phone having some discernible conversation while kicking a worn suitcase and fiddling with a few plastic shopping bags, he looked like he was traveling the hard way, unshaven and wrinkled but the new iPhone looked to be an upgrade even from my iPhone 11. The inside of the store was fairly clean if you discount the dis-shuffled restroom, I'd give it a five out ten apparently they were much busier earlier since at this time I was the sole customer. I took the time to walk around a bit, since it's a known trucker stop they always have a few interesting "as seen on tv" items for sale, today the tactical glasses and tactical light was clearly displayed as were a host of electronics all placed conveniently for compulsive purchasing. I locked on the Cobra CB Radio, no I didn't make the purchase but I really think I need one for the Jeep, maybe next time. I never saw the clerk but since I wasn't making an inside purchase no interaction was necessary so I can't comment on the customer service here. As I exited the store I noticed the guy on the phone was still jibber jabbering as I made my way to the caddie and preparing to leave I got a little startled by a tap on my window which was about a quarter way down - the gentleman who had pulled up to the pump across from me informed me he and his wife were staying at the Baymont a few blocks away and they were in the need of some cash or gas and although his story wasn't very convincing I do have empathy but he and his co-conspirator seemed to be toasting some spirits with each rejection and I don't reward deception...

It wasn't here…read morethe last time we traveled through South Carolina via I-95, to get between North Carolina and Georgia. This QT is still relatively new. As has been well documented in my Yelp reviews over the past 10-15 years, I'm a fan of QT. I was happy with all the growth QT had along I-85, in the western part of South Carolina, in the early 2010s: https://www.yelp.com/collection/Ey266j_8lAHk7iQLDODC9g Unfortunately, QT isn't there yet with I-95, which is closer to and runs down roughly the eastern part of the state. In SC, I-95 (199 miles) is a lot longer than I-85 (106 miles). Anyway, this QT is a nice start. This QT is located just off I-95 exit 190 (SC 34 - Dillon) in the Pee Dee region of northeastern South Carolina. It's close to the North Carolina border. Another good option for gas, refreshments, and restrooms at this exit is the Love's Travel Stop on the other side of the interstate: https://www.yelp.com/biz/loves-travel-stop-dillon?hrid=UnW3W3KM5C74VC_jGbJGnA&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) This QT has everything I like about most newer QT locations. It's big and spacious, inside and out (20 pumps), clean, feels safe, is always stocked with paper towels at the pumps, and has competitive gas prices and polite, friendly customer service. QT describes this location as a "Remote Travel Center," which is the first I've seen since they rolled out the "Generation 3" or "Gen 3" stores over the last decade-plus. To me, this is simply a bigger Gen 3 store on a bigger lot. According to a Convenience Store News article in April 2022 ( https://csnews.com/photo-gallery-inside-quiktrips-new-remote-travel-centers ), QT's Remote Travel Centers have a "larger store format" that "targets geographies with strong truck traffic." This location has five diesel pumps for semi-trailer trucks, but it's not a full-fledged QT truck stop like others I've seen (e.g., Gaffney, SC). Like conventional QTs, this one has a QT Kitchens with fresh, made-to-order food and drink, except it's "expanded." This is QuikTrip store #7133.

Great place to grab gas (lowest price before going out of state) and snacks before crossing into NC. Clean bathrooms, lots of welcoming staff and a whole brewing station just for tea! So many fruit flavors. Unfortunately it wasn't working today but I grabbed a **crushed ice*** massive Diet Dew (on tap, thank you) instead. This will be our go to place every summer on these massive family road trips.

It was fairly easy to get to with straightforward access from the main roads. My membership from my home state worked here without any issues. The gate automatically recognized my out-of-state license plate perfectly. That meant that I could get a quick car wash while on the road to remove all the road grit from the multi-state drive. It was a nice perk for using the same chain across multiple states. The setup was roughly the same as my local one back in my home state. There is an attendant at the gate in case the scan doesn't work or if you need help. There is another person to guide you onto the conveyor, tell you when to put the car in neutral so it pulls you through the tunnel with the brushes, rinses, and dryers. There are vacuum stations with free tools like air hoses and cleaners included with the membership, but we didn't use those on this visit. Overall, the site was clean, well-maintained, and easy to use with quick service--I would recommend this location to fellow travelers needing a good wash on the go. Enjoy!

He bought the parts we needed and rushed to us before dark so we could get off the shoulder of the I-95. We aren't from SC and were just passing through.
