Good enough for fuel and "first coffee," this stop along I-95 is certainly convenient. Easy to access and since it's also a truck stop, the turns are wide and accommodating for larger vehicles. The gas pump area is clean and I love the large squeegee sticks they have that make it easy for me to reach the entire windshield on the Sprinter van. Two complaints. The gas pump receipt printer didn't work. I was already planning to go inside, but this is annoying. The men's room at 7:20 am needed some attention. Along I-85 in Upstate South Carolina, my favorite gas station chain to stop at is QuikTrip. Along I-95 in Pee Dee and Lowcountry South Carolina, my favorite gas station chain to stop at is Love's Travel Stop. This Love's is located just off I-95 exit 190 (SC 34 - Dillon) in Dillon in the Pee Dee region of northeastern South Carolina. It's close to the North Carolina border. This is Love's store #371. It has 16 pumps. Since this is South Carolina, the gas prices are less expensive than where we live in Georgia and North Carolina. If traveling northbound, this is one of the last opportunities to take advantage of South Carolina's low gas prices before entering North Carolina. I've been to this Love's a couple times now. During my visits, it's been clean and in good condition, inside and out. Pumps, men's restroom, etc. There's an Arby's on-site. Love's also has their own selection of in-house hot foods, comparable to QT Kitchens. One thing that's different about Love's compared to QT is Love's has showers. This has to be one of the cleanest stops I've ever been too. I love the name as well. They service truck drivers as well, with showers. We're passing through and they are a huge convenience store and gas station. They have everything from fresh coffees (yes they have a variety) along with an Arby's inside. They sell souvenirs as well including blankets, pillows, and other small travel needs. read more

We stopped here on the way home from a trip to Florida. We came in tired and drained, but left happy and refreshed due mostly to the cheerful, helpful employees! It is very clean here so we really enjoyed the coffee bar and soft drinks. I really appreciate when these areas are kept clean because we all know they get sloppy and it takes constant attention to keep them clean and sanitized. The staff here do an excellent job! If you don't mind your truck not running after a simple $900 pm service, please go here! "Tech" didn't ask what filters I wanted so he changed ALL of them including air filters that were 6 weeks old!!! Put the wrong water separator in and starved my engine of fuel! Waited for another "tech" to show up Saturday morning and he just didn't listen when I pointed out the wrong filter! After 2 hours of him playing around, he changed the filter (I had the correct one) after bleeding the air surprise surprise, it started. I made the manager pay me $50 for my filter which turns out is $63 but, I'm running. I made a complaint on the loves app and got a call from Willie Schmidt who basically said tough shit that we caused you to be late on a load and then wanted me to email pics of the wrong filter! I go to this Love's about twice a year on my way down to Florida and love most things about it! The gas is the cheapest around and the inside is clean. Also, the food they sell here is pretty cheap, except for the beef jerky of which is $5 for one moderate sized piece. The bathrooms are clean and well taken care of, which says a lot about a gas station. The only bad thing I could say about this place is to stay away from the hot food items. It should be a given, but just an FYI. If you need gas (and you may be on a budget) then this place is a great place to stop along I-95 (or The 95)! read more

This is my go-to place to stop while going up and down 95. It's near the border of SC/NC, so it can be the last place/first place to get gas at SC prices. It has clean bathrooms, good coffee options and the usual convenience store stuff. There is an Arby's connected so you have that fast food option as well. read more

Stopped by this gas station on the way back to FL from NC to purchase gas. Entered my debt card but the machine was slow and after several attempts left and went to a nearby gas station for fuel. Checked my debit card the next day and was changed for the person's gas following mine. Attempted to get this fixed and a credit issued with my bank however this gas station/ company REFUSED to investigate and denied the claim/dispute. Very disappointing and poor business practice! On 10/10/16, during hurricane Matthew love's truck stop here in Dillon sc. Was the only gas station that the pumps where working everyone else was out or had no power. My girlfriend and her 15 year old son was waiting in line as the Dillon sheriff's department and love's employee's where directing traffic we had to follow cars to the road beside the hardware store is so, the flow of traffic that were getting gas could cross the road when the deputy sheriff could give the signal to cross and get behind the car the driveway of love's and wait until it was our turn to get gas. While we were waiting love's employee that was also directing traffic give a single that it was clear for a 18 Wheeler to exit the parking lot he came close to my car but, he made it out the driveway without hitting my car, then she gave the second 18 Wheeler the signal to exit when he came beside us it was way to close so close he dragged his trailer right on top the passnger rear of my car he stopped when the trailer tires pushed in the rear panel of my car by going back in fourth into my car. About 4,000 dollars worth of damage to my car. The trucker said he was sorry he thought he was in a hole and that is why he kept slamming into us. He said he would have no trouble telling the truth so his insurance would fix my car back the way it was. While waiting for a Florence state trooper to get there so we could get a report the Dillon deputy sheriff told me to move my car out the way so other people could get gas so I did as he told me to do. The state trooper finally got there an hour after the wreck and ask me why did I move my car and I told him cause the deputy sheriff told me to. He replied if the sheriff told me to jump off a bridge would you? I didn't know what to say. He said that he would give us a white sheet of paper to explain what had happened and where to give it to our insurance company to fight it out. Which later on I find out state troopers only supposed to give those white papers out for damage under 100 dollars. Now the trucker lied and now I am having trouble with his insurance company paying out. So I thought why not go back and get a copy from loves cameras that day but, guess they said they have no cameras on the outside of the store and the camera's on inside don't point no where outside the store. So if I where the one reading this I would take caution to do business here at love's cause anything happens outside to you or damage gets done to your car it's not recorded to see who done it or who however done whatever. read more

I am a professional driver who has my 2 animals with me when I am over the road. I needed 2 get 8 tires and sadly my go-to (ta, petro) didn't have the tires I needed so I stopped in here. It is 90 plus outside with the humidity over 60%...and that is outside the truck. The technician was very nice and said I could leave my truck running due to having animals with me, which I greatly appreciated!! However, his boss came over and said the truck must be shut off or no work would be done. I explained I asked due to my animals and he said "well I am the boss and the truck will be shut off or no work will be done." So, I shut if off and sit outside in the sweltering heat so that my dog can get out of the truck while I get the tires I needed. My other animal had to stay in the truck b.c they can't come outside. Nice that customer service is high on the managers list here. I will NEVER stop here again and this is why I prefer to frequent the ta or petro....they give btr customer service and give you a place where both you and your pet can wait in air condition comfort. read more
