I was here in the evening and it was well lit and it was also relatively clean. The staff here were friendly and performed their tasks admirably. All in all, not a bad place to get gas (and those usual convenience store items). I am giving it three stars because while there is nothing wrong with this Circle K location, there is also nothing that sets this Circle K apart from other gas stations. Again, let's keep in mind three stars is average. And while I might want to find above average places to enjoy a meal or an evening out, a gas station can be three stars and still a satisfactory place to get the services and products they offer (in this case, gasoline for the car and maybe a cold bottle of water or soda). They serve the special from 11-2 or until they sell out. They provide the option to call in, stop by to prepay, or walk-in based on what's available after pre-orders. Today's soul food menu consisted of baked chicken over rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for $14.99. The portions size was huge, enough to eat twice from the plate. The food was served in Styrofoam plates with dividers with individual wrapped utensils and salt & pepper packets. Condiments were available as well. Drink was not included, but since the location is inside a gas station, there was many options to choose from. The baked chicken was a chicken breast that was bigger than the size of my hand. The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. When filling up looked online and its one of the best for fuel prices in the area. No trash blowing around the lot. Inside was super clean. Wide aisles, well stocked shelves. Large restroom facilities that were spotless. Friendly helpful cashiers. Basically, this place checks all the boxes that a convenience store should. Hope everything is kept up in the future.
