The hotel was an affordable and convenient way to explore a beautiful and historic river town, and the region in general (parking is available if you have a car). At the end of each day of sightseeing, we bought some Riesling and snacks and enjoyed them in the beautiful garden. Our room was adjacent to a babbling brook, which was a lovely sound to lull you to sleep at night. Breakfast was great and was included in the room. Highly recommend!

Our host was a delightful older man who looked after us, speaking just enough English to help us navigate through Landstuhl. We made frequent trips to the nearby Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, visiting wounded GIs hospitalized there, and our host always made certain that our transportation was arranged for the visits. The staff was absolutely delightful: old-world manners; friendly, efficient, hard workers who were cheerful and treated us very well. Love the town, love the hotel.

The building dates even farther back to 1761 (20 years before the end of the US Revolutionary War). The room accommodations are well appointed in splendid European style. The restaurant is Michelin quality. Owners/Hosts Stefan and Tanya serve incredibly delicious home cooked meals four days a week. The location is within walking distance to the train station and close to other dining and shopping options making this a prime location for travellers.
