I have been staying here over 25 years with my company. I am a pilot for a US carrier and this is our primary hotel. Today I ate in the restaurant and told the Croatian waiter that we were with the airline and would like to exercise our 19% discount. He said OK but told us we needed to pay cash in order to get the discount which we agreed to do. When we received our bills, we noticed that we didn't get our discount and then when confronted on it, he said oh you needed to tell me when you first sat down to which I said to him that is one of the first things I said to you and you said no problem, Omni, Kalitta and Atlas get the discount. This is the last time I'll eat in the restaurant as food is very expensive for what you get and I'm not getting any discounts, so why even bother? The Wi-Fi is very slow. I cannot do my assignments for my recurrent ground school because it's too damn slow. I have two tiny beds pushed together and they called that one bed. The bed is way too hard even with it extra padding on it. The aviation themed bar and restaurant is cool, but it sure would be nice to get a discount. We spent our whole per diem on one meal without including alcohol. No crew room and no amenities ! The worst crew hotel for us in Europe read more

Great hotel with a wonderful breakfast. Service is friendly, self serve laundry services are available. Gym isn't much but it's there. Located in a part of town that's walkable to many restaurants. Mattresses are be a bit thin. The bodywash/shampoo/conditioner are all one, so if you are particular about that, bring your own. Water pressure is excellent, and water can get very hot. read more

I had the opportunity to travel to over 15 countries in the past year. Rammstein, Germany was my favorite stop! The Hotel Christine is the main reason I will return. The staff was always accommodating. Whether it was asking for extra blankets or turning on the heat, someone was always available to assist. As you can see the rooms are made of wood paneling and it just works! I got some of the best sleep in life here. I got stuck for additional days but did not mind it either. Out of all the countries I visited, Germany seemed to be the most welcoming to Americans. Kudos to all the staff. Keep up the good work! #ashsaidit read more

A colleague recommended Hotel Christine to me. After reading reviews of the quaint coziness of the venue, I eagerly made a reservation. To say my room was a disappointment, is an understatement. The portion of the hotel that I stayed in had no elevator. I had to haul 5 bags up flights of stairs. Upon stepping in the room, I wondered if the quaint and cozy phrases thrown around so carelessly in other reviews, was code word for dirty and uncomfortable. The room looked liked it had not been vacuumed in weeks! The carpet was filled with dead bugs. It looked like a dead bug cemetery. Some living bugs bravely introduced themselves to me too, they also ended up in the bug carpet cemetery. The bed, which, came equipped with a comforter half the size of actual the bed, even had remnants of bug bodies in it! The heaters didn't work. I called to the front desk to voice my concern. I was greeted with a, "Sure, it does! Just give it time to warm up!". The daggum things never turn on, until 5:30 the next morning. The temperature , that evening,dipped down to a chilly 37 degrees. I was FREEZING! I called the front desk again to complain about the broken heaters, the response given was, "It is the middle of the night. It is impossible to do anything about it now." My response, "I know, which is why I attempted to have the issue addressed earlier that day." Have you ever been so cold, it is impossible to sleep? Me either, until the uncomfortable night of my stay. I was shivering so uncontrollably, that it crossed my mind to light some candles, that a friend had gifted to me. This seemed like my only option to stay warm. I lined the candles on the night stand next to the and also put one in the bed...praying that it didn't catch on fire. Normally, I would not dare be so reckless, but desperate times and inept customer service called for desperate measures. I needed some semblance of heat for a tiny bit of comfort. After calling the front desk once more, to verify that I wouldn't be penalized for canceling the rest of my stay, I spent the rest of late night/ early morning calling hotels to see if they could accommodate me the rest of my visit to Landstuhl. Once I secured lodging at a Holiday Inn 30 miles from the hotel, jet lag took over and I fell asleep. I never got to experience the wonderful breakfast raved about in reviews because, I was too exhausted to venture across the street and try it. The marble bathrooms raved about in other reviews are an odd but nice touch, to another otherwise shabby room. However, my intent, when visiting a hotel, is not to spend the majority of time on just the toilet. The intent is to enjoy the experience of the entire room. The rooms are inexpensive. Based on the reviews, it seems almost to good to be true. For me, this experience was a harsh reminder that you get what you pay for. A wonderful hotel with a family atmosphere..makes you feel like you are back home. Staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful, from the front desk to the bar, to the restaurant and the cleaning crew. They all appear to work together to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay. The rooms remind you that you are in Germany with wooden cabinets and down comforters. The location is wonderful for exploring Landstuhl or taking a train. The train station is right down the street. I will be staying at Hotel Christine on my next visit to Landstuhl!! read more

This is a wonderful Hotel. Very American friendly, it is very comfortable with a genuinely friendly staff. The picture is just as it appears. I had a wonderful view if some of the countryside and other buildings. I was glad that someone recommended the place to me when I traveled to Landstuhl recently. lots of small shops within walking distances as well. read more

Stayed here for four nights while traveling for work. Check in is very easy, all of the staff speaks perfect English (and Deutsch of course) and rooms are cozy. Breakfast is included in the room fee so it's definitely worth it. Eggs made to order and a waffle maker. I have two issues: 1. The internet is not consistent with speeds and connectivity. They block all gaming as well, so if you play video games on your laptop/Xbox, you will not be able to use it in the hotel. 2. The pillows are way to soft. I had to fold them both in half and even that wasn't enough. Bed was relatively comfortable and bathroom was clean and updated. Always had hot water and good water pressure. Over all, I would stay here again. The internet issue isn't a big deal but it is worth noting. I would recommend bringing your own pillow. read more

I first went to the Hotel Christine in 2005. Every time I've been there since then, I've always had great service and tasty german/TGIF style food. The servers are friendly and the restaurant is pretty awesome with giant model airplanes adoring the restaurant. On my latest visit with my friends, we shared in the fun of Schnitzel night. Just 10 Euros for dinner and an appetizer. Amazing Croquette potatoes, schnitzel. The Hotel Christine delivered on a great meal for a fair price. If you are in town, you have to check out the Hotel Christine at least once. You'll dig the aviation swag and casual atmosphere. read more

Well I can no longer say "I've never been to Europe." After a very unexpected flight delay, a group of us received a recommendation for accommodations at Hotel Christine and popped in to see if there were rooms available. Lucky for us, we were able to score six rooms with no advance notice. Room prices vary by size. A regular room is €70-75 with suites (€85) and small rooms (€50) also available. My regular room had a large bed (effectively two single beds pushed together with one headboard) that was nice and firm with two different pillows, two sitting chairs and a desk. The bathroom was quite lovely with marble and granite tiles covering the floor and walls, a new glass shower and a warming rack for the towels (had I been on vacation I would have taken advantage of this but time was short). The one funny thing was that the toiletries provided are not in single serving sizes like in US hotels -- instead there were normal full sized body wash and hand soap. Perhaps this is normal in Europe, I'm clearly not a European scholar, but I found myself thinking of the Friends episode where Joey and Chandler discuss a bar of soap. Joey: "just think of the last place it touches on me and the first place it touches on you." At least it's only/hopefully hands touching the body gel bottle. There is a nice large patio off of the seventh/eighth floors. It can get a bit loud and you can smell people smoking cigarettes, but it does close at 10pm. They also have a gym downstairs that I was too jet lagged to check out, but one of my travel-mates said it was rather small. Hotel Christine provides free wifi although I had some difficulty pulling it up on my iPhone. You need to open the registration page from your browser but not all browser pages would pull it up. Just keep trying until you are prompted to enter the code on your receipt, then you'll be able to access other webpages and apps....or at least most of them - some websites still wouldn't work and the connection was a bit spotty. The front desk also provides power converters upon request. Breakfast is complimentary on the ground floor from 6-10am. In addition to breads, cheese/meats, cereal and the usual continental breakfast, they'll make you eggs to order and give you sausage or bacon. They also set you up with a coffee or tea pot per your preference. Overall, Hotel Christine is definitely catered to Americans given the approximation to the base, but it's got a lovely German charm. The wood work in the rooms and lobby coupled with the polite helpfulness of the Germans really helped make my stay enjoyable. Hopefully the next time I find myself in Germany I'm there for fun and can stay a good bit longer. read more

The hotel itself is very basic. I had a twin bed. Although I was staying alone what hotel gives you a twin bed? Could be at least a full. The room was very clean. The front desk staff was very nice. The breakfast staff is rude. The breakfast offerings is nice. Internet blocks just about everything except emails. I would consider other hotels if you are coming to the area. read more

The rooms are clean and quaint, the water pressure is good in the showers, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is very good, and the hotel bar is a nice establishment. The WiFi is very fast, free, and reliable, too. My only gripe about this hotel, and it is a significant one for me, is that the entire 4th floor reeks of cigarette smoke. Apparently the 4th floor is a smoking floor. In the evening, the smoke smell permeates the entire floor, which, unfortunately included my room. Luckily, the hotel management was helpful in locating a new room in a non-smoking area of the hotel after I voiced my concern. Overall, this is a nice hotel. Just be sure that you let the front desk know if you would like a room in a non-smoking area of the hotel. read more

The good: Free wi-fi and made to order breakfast. Cockpit Restaurant downstairs and many others within walking distance. Very American friendly. They had many irons and ironing boards available. I loved the second hand shop in the corner of their parking lot - brought home some vintage cowbells for friends. The so-so: Rooms are small and if you are tall, your toes are hanging off the end of the built in double bed. My friend had a room at the end and could hear people from downstairs outside her window. Tucked into the small town of Landstuhl just outside of Ramstein Air Base this is a nice little hotel that's not like an ordinary chain. Rooms are simple but somewhat upscale, well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom is upscale with marble and quartz floors, heated towel racks, and lots of water pressure that gets you hot water in seconds. Single mattress and down comforter and pillows provide a comfortable nights sleep. The complementary breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Quaint formal dining room with crisp white linens, German porcelain and fresh tulips at every table feels warm and cozy like being at home. Greeted by a waitress your brought fresh coffee in an individual little porcelain pot that matches the table settings. Lots of choices for breakfast including fresh made to order eggs, bacon and sausage. A selection of juices, fresh breads, jams, cold cuts, soft cheeses, yogurts, cereals, and even fresh made waffles round out a really delicious start to your day. No need for lunch! On site is the cockpit bar and restaurant that is also a very nice and pleasant surprise. read more

Hotel Christine never fails to impress! After coming here off and on when living in the area and now multiple times on business - the hotel continues to impress. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quaint (yet modern). Staff is flexible and friendly. Our group reservations changed multiple times due to the #SchumerShutdown, but the staff helped us ease the pain and rooms were ready for early check in. Breakfast is in the top 10% for Europe. Exercise room is conveniently located in the basement and has all the essentials (it's not a Gold' Gym) - but is plenty to get a good sweat. Cockpit lounge is really neat and service/food is top notch. My #1 choice to stay in this area. Will be back!!! read more

Must be good--stayed here three years ago and I liked it enough to come back a second time yesterday. Quick, easy, and friendly check-in. Good free German breakfast. Affordable rate.
