I had no issue with paying a fee for Eric to look at my son's car.. that is customary and expected. What is not acceptable is that he showed up, completely misdiagnosed the issue after a few minutes, collected his fee and left. He said it would take a few days but took no effort to follow up, whatsoever. He blamed my son for not continuing to call him... we fixed the issue ourselves. Meanwhile, this person took umbrage with the negative review and became aggressive with his responses and texts to my son. I'm shocked that yelp allows legitimate negative reviews to be removed... this should be a "mobile battery charger" service and not a mechanic.

Going to any new automotive place, I am always hesitant and skeptical if the business and employees are going to be honest or are they going to try and take me for all my money? I went to them based on good reviews from Yelp. My experience with them has been nothing but fantastic. The front office staff, the mechanics and even the owner, have been nothing but professional, courteous and honest. Upon diagnosing my vehicle, they gave me different options on repairs and did not try to pressure me in either direction but did give advice on what the best fix would be. They performed the work in a timely manner and just as important.. the cost was fair. If you're looking for a honest place that won't try to screw you over then I strongly recommend this business. I will continue to give them my business!

When I brought my car in, I talked to an employee (not sure if it was the owner) who was also really nice and asked me if I was doing this for routine maintenance. I told him I'd recently gotten a brake fluid exchange done at Midas, but at my last oil change at Oil Changers, I was told the brake fluid was "very low." Thinking perhaps Midas shorted me on the brake fluid, I decided to take it to Gateway for a proper brake fluid change. We went out to my car where he checked the brake fluid, saw it was a little low but not too bad, tested it to make sure it was fresh, and told me he would top it off for free. I thanked him, told him I'd come here for mechanic work from now on, and went on my merry way. Though no service was actually performed, I came away from the experience knowing the people here are friendly and honest, and that's enough for me to come back again next time!
