Dr. Cioffi is sneakily good. He's not at all show-offy, his website is mostly still under construction, his rates are low, and he does absolutely nothing to try to sell himself or tell you how great he is or how good you're going to feel, yet he is amazing. So, even though he was highly recommended to me, at first I thought, "Yeah, I guess that was good." Then I went again, and I was like, "Y'know, my back feels great." Then I went again, and I noticed that he remembed every single thing about my health, about what was going on with me. That his treatments are fluid and custom-tailored to me, involving all of these different modalities in a single session -- ranging from ultrasound, to subtle and prolonged stretching, to gentle or deep tissue manipulation, to the classic crack-your-back-put-everything-back-in-place-adjustment. After a half dozen visits, I have come to see Dr. Cioffi as a true healer - deeply caring about his work, incredibly knowledgeable about the body, thoughtful, patient, and with an ability to listen really well to what I tell him is going on, and what my body says. He always finds all of the spots on me that are crimping, crunching, tight and hurting, and puts everything right. I feel so incredibly lucky and grateful to have found such an amazing practitioner. Dr. Cioffi has been my body repair person for a few years now. He has never said that he can't work on a second, or third, or fourth body part in the same session. He never tells you that you feel better when you don't and he never sells you packages of sessions. What he does do is treat you as a whole entity with inter-related parts. His instincts are spot on, his technical skills and knowledge are amazing, and he attacks the problem using whatever techniques will help, from ultrasound to stretching to joint manipulation. He is a healer and also a teacher; guiding the patient towards knowing how to better work with an ailment or injury so that the best results can be achieved. I have twice been sent to physical therapy from orthopedics, and each time couldn't figure out why they don't just do the stuff Dr. Cioffi does. So now, I just don't bother going to P.T. at all.
