We have a Mexican restaurant in Wilkes Barre PA the experience we had with Cintas it's the worst beware make sure you never get into a contract with them they will add staff on your account without notice, they will raise their prices by 50% without notice, and if you try to cancel the account they will yes ok but then they will surprise you with a costumer buy out and take your money like nothing happen, please just read all the reviews and don't fall into one or 2 5star they have they may be new costumer they don't know what are they getting into it, into a total scam. We live in Northwest Kansas, Colby KS. We have had Cintas perform our service for since 2019. I called in August reminding them about needing our fire extinguishers serviced and our other emergency lights. I called early September being promised that their service person would call and set up a date. Today, September 26, 2025 I learn from their receptionist who answers the phone that they are no longer servicing the Northwest Kansas area. What kind of fire protection service is this. They intimidated my on site maintenance team to let them inspect the fire extinguishers and then charged 4 times what a standard inspection should cost. The Cintas administration would not work with the invoicing at all and did nothing but make threats to my team. I've been managing homeowners associations for decades and this company is by far the most horrible and dishonest vendor I've ever dealt with. They came out to inspect a couple of backflow valves and claim they didn't pass. Then sent me an estimate for SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! I called another vendor out 2 days later to reinspect the backflows and both passed. They sent me a bill for $295 for the inspection where they claim the backflows failed. Keep in mind, I have only had one of these valves fail in 10 years and the kit and labor was less than $400. Now they keep billing me for the fraudulent inspection. Also sent me to a collection agency for $295 vs. just admitting that their tech either didn't know how to test the valves or tried to pull a SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR SCAM! I'll keep this simple-- We could have ordered All Brand NEW extinguishers, same brand, same rating and size from Amazon, for ONE HALF the price that Cintas charged us for their yearly inspection and 6 year service! Delivered to our building from Amazon for FREE! Instead, we didn't even get our own equipment back! We got Cintas' recycled, banged-up, dirty crap off their truck. Because of Cintas, we have been kept from doing our job and helping clients. People are literally dying because Cintas refuses to complete a three-hour job that will allow my company to provide treatment for opioid addicts. They're aware of the harm they're causing, but they don't care. Cintas' upper management refuses to answer or return our phone calls and blames everyone but themselves for failing to do their job. Only giving 1 star because that's as low as I can rate. Don't deal with this company. Without notice of price increase, they continue to raise their rates. It's been too late to stop the inspection as invoices come after the inspection is done. The invoice is sent to a different address than the physical address. Also, a very unprofessional business staff...send you to voice mail and never receive a call back. Increases of 47%, 26%. If you are a business looking for Fire Protection services. Stay away from these clowns. The actual service people aren't too bad, it's anything to do with having something repaired or serviced. I manage an office building and deal with all the service companies. It's been almost 5 months since I started trying to get them to change out a bad battery pack in the monitor and a Smoke sensor piece of equipment. It took almost 2 months just to get a call back. And then it was just an "I'll have a salesman contact you" from the lady who answers the phone. I had already replaced the battery myself at this time. When I told the lady I had done the battery, she started acting strange. So I figured she was mad they didn't get that service money. It was another month and several phone calls before I actually got a call back from the salesman. The salesman I have been dealing with isn't much better. It took 4 tries to get the simple job worded correctly on the estimate/work order. I need one type of sensor changed to a different type. He kept sending me the order saying the work was for a Fire dept violation and for changing TO a smoke sensor. Then 2 weeks later I get a call from the lady wanting to schedule the work. Ok. Great, however, the smoke sensor I need replaced is what they had ordered and we're bringing out. So, back to the salesman. Two weeks go by and I have to send him another email back asking what is going on. In the meantime, I get a call from the lady asking to schedule their annual inspection. Really???? I ok the day she wants and ask about the other work. All I get is "you need to talk to the sales guy". Back to the email, a few days later, I get an email from him saying he will have the lady call and schedule the work. 3 or so days later I get the call. It happens again, they are bringing out a smoke detector. I tell her that's what they need to take out and she says "oh, ok." Then nothing, she then tells me they have the part I need and we set a time range last Friday for the guy to come out. Guess what... Yes, you guessed it. No show. We have to pay a monthly monitoring fee, if something like a battery goes bad in the monitoring box, they charge a service fee and twice the normal cost for the battery. At this point, I will be looking for a different company. Assuming there isn't some kind of contract on the equipment for the previous building owner. read more
