My experience pertains to the Homeschool Archery classes on Thursdays. Today we signed up for classes for my kiddo. We really had a wonderful session! The Event Center is so lively and has a lot of space for people. It would be perfect to rent out for a venue. I've been coming here for well over 10 years and the last 2 years I have had multiple packages not sealed correctly or ripped at pickup. A Whitetail Buck and Cow Oryx cost me over $1300 to have processed when I delivered all the meat cleaned and quartered. read more

This place is incredibly dishonest and deceitful. I typically process my own animals for a number of reasons. Here I was pressed for time to decided to drop off my quartered deer. I choose the bare minimum as far as processing to save costs. I was told it would be $55 which I thought was reasonable and happily paid. When they called me to tell me my deer was ready they told be I had a balance of $92!! The said they had to charge $4 per lb to grind hamburger and my deer was so big I had 23lbs of trim That they had to grind. I was NEVER told that up front. So when I came to pick up my deer turns out the ground up almost the entire deer! I had 6 small packs of steaks and all ground hamburger meat! They are a bunch of crooks. I went inside to complain and they told me I should have told them I wanted to maximize the number of steak they could get out of the deer. WTH!?! Shouldn't that be what they do without me telling them? "Yeah I want steaks out of this deer but only give me 2 and grind the rest." Oh, and the steaks they did do already have air in them which means they will freezer burn in a few months so I'm now going home to cut them open and use my vacuum sealer to do it right. Stay away from these crooks who don't know how to do their dang job. Shocked they are in business. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

If you live out of State Do NOT get your meat processed at Cinnamon Creek. I gave them my axis deer in April 2024 to process and received 43lbs of meat back from a 160lb field dressed axis. I was a butcher for 10 years, and I know how much meat I should have gotten. Judging by what they sent back to me, I am missing a whole hind quarter. Since I am from out of State, they just ignore my calls. My son gave them a bigger oryx to process at the same time and he is missing about half his meat, including both tenderloins. I am telling all SCI Members and all the ranches we hunt in Texas to avoid them at all costs. read more

Theresa is the best! She is very patient and provides great customer service. I have 5-7 animals a year processed here. Meatballs and Tamales are a must try. Also a fan of the German rings. Not the cheapest but the quality is great and they know what they are doing. My kids love checking out all the mounts. read more

I have used Cinnamon Creek before they were Cinnamon Creek. I really can't say enough about the care that goes into your animal. I know this sounds like a family member review but I swear my only skin in this is letting other people know hands down you get your animal back and the options for each cut are amazing. I won't be going back to Cinnamon Creek for processing. The lady there has NEVER been pleasant and they aren't very helpful, she acted put out to do her job. (If you don't like your job...quit.) I went in today to pick up meat, no greeting from either employee in an empty shop. I go up to her and tell her that I'm here to pick up an order and it's under one of 2 names. I was pretty certain it was under my daughter's name so I gave her that first. She appeared to be annoyed. She tells me I'm wrong and she doesn't have it. Then she asks if I'm even at the right place. !?!?! I kindly said I'm certain I am but will go ahead and get my daughter on the phone to confirm the name. (I just keep smiling because there's just no reason to make the situation worse). I give her my daughters name again and say I'm certain it's under her name and the only other person in the room, the male employee chimes in and rudely says "ya, a ghost order" as if we are idiots. (It's was me and my daughter picking up the meat). The lady in less than 30 seconds finds the order under the name I originally gave her. I smile, say thank you and leave. Not a thanks, come again, nothing. I get the meat home and at least 1/3 of the packaging is damaged with meat exposed. There's just no reason to do business with you. ...your two rude employees just lost you ALOT of business. read more

We've used Cinnamon Creek for a few years for deer processing even though they were over an hour away. We love their seasonings and what we get back. Moved away and SAD that they're now 4 hours away and we have to find someone new. Wish us luck! read more

Be sure to be very specific in your processing orders! My order requested Maximum Steaks, Maximum whole ham, Backstraps and tederloins. The balance to be hamburger. I got 1 Ham , 3 small steaks, both tenderloins and both backstraps. Along with 38 pounds of hamburger!!! All the steaks that should have come from the front shoulders were ground into hamburger. One ham only got me 3 small steaks. All of this is my fault!! Why? because I assumed maximum steaks would come from both the hams and the front shoulders. No where on the processing menu is there a place to indicate steaks from the front shoulders. I have taken several deer and hogs to Cinnamon Creek for processing. No more. Everything that I have ever had processed here has been fantastic... and we have had a lot of different animals processed. The meatballs and tamales are so good and worth splurging for. I was advised to get the meatballs and I was skeptical because I don't typically have meatball subs or spaghetti so I thought it would be a waste, but now I am wishing I ordered more and trying to find excuses to have them. So freaking good. Service has been great and the only gripe that I really have is that I feel like I might get more trim than I feel like I should sometimes, the seals aren't always perfect (but far from being a regular issue), and I recently picked up a backstrap that was not steaked out like it should have been. There is some room to grow and refine their process and admittedly, I haven't taken anything here that wasn't an exotic which makes it hard to "batch" process, but at the same time, I am consistently pleased with the quality of the products that I get here and wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. read more

We have used cinnamon Creek for the past two years. And I have been very happy with everything I have eaten from then so far. Last February they processed a whole buffalo for us... We got at least one of everything they offered!! The tamales are spicy and delish! Summer sausage are huge and seasoned perfect! Jalapeno links made for an awesome snack! I could go on and on. Nobody beats Cinnamon Creeks meat! I used to do all my own butchering and processing but now I only remove the hide and quarter and they do the rest. These boys may be Giants fans but this Eagle fan has been a customer for 14 years since their humble beginnings in Roanoke. I have regularly brought my deer and hogs here and have ways had great service. They may be a little pricier than others but I feel the quality more than makes up for it. All their jerky and sausages are outstanding buy my favorite thing is the hunter sticks. Just bring what you need processed to the loading dock with the proper tags drop it off and go to the office and make your order. The whole process is so simple I can send the wife or kid in with no problem what so ever. The boys at Cinnamon Creek git r dun for me all the time and I actually enjoy going there. Dropped off 2 hogs already skinned and quartered. Gave 200 deposit and had to wait 4 weeks. Then told pickup cost was double what was quoted! We would have walked away if we knew how much it was going to be. Now we have no choice but to lose $200 and 2 hogs worth of meat or pay double what we expected! read more

We processed 3 deer, a jog, and a javelina. None of the packages are sealed correctly. I didn't see that upon pick up because the meat was frozen. However, every one I have thawed out to cook was not vacuum sealed and leaking! That is pretty careless and unsanitary!! read more

These guys are extremely professional and punctual about when you can expect your meat to be ready. The sausages and spices are great. However, I'm pretty sure they mixed up my hog for someone else's. I brought in a 150lb sow and got about 20lbs of meat. read more

We had used Cinnamon Creek for about 8 years. Over that period, we have had great product and equally disappointing results. We suspect part of the reason is that they run deer processing in batches. That means it may not be your meat that you get back. We want to control our venison and have no idea how the other game animal was handled prior to being dropped off. We tried to switching of off-season processing with the same mixed results. Sometimes it is great, but other times the spices seem really off. The people there are very nice, but product is not as consistent as we would desire. read more

I dont know how long they let the deer hang but we went in a week after mine was dropped off and the same deer were still hanging in the fridge. Since it took 6 weeks to get my deer back i would assume it hung for 6 weeks before processing. Considering the fowl odor the meat has. I got about 2.5 lbs of back strap out of a 80 lb doe. the other deer was a 110 lb 14 point buck and he got about 2.5 lbs out of his. The mount was bad ass the meat was shit! read more

We finally got Abbey's mount after 3+ months. I'm extremely disappointed with the service at Cinnamon Creek. We turned it in 11/13/16 and picked it up today (2/26/17). They told us they would call when it was ready. We never received a call. We had to call 4 times. It was supposed to be wrapped in camouflage, but it never got to the place for that. Unfortunately, the mount was put up where it was out of sight. We were pleased with the processing; however, some of our meat's packaging was not sealed correctly. read more

Used to be good when it was syracuse I took them a big doe that I gutted and quartered. I aged it for 4 days on ice before dropping it off. I got it back 5 weeks later wich is fine but it tasted freezer burnt. The meat on the outside of package was already turning brown.
