New theater is amazing!! Ticket prices went up a bit but the new digs are worth the extra bucks.

This was actually our first night going to the theater for a popular movie known as wicked part two…read moreand they did a lovely job of making sure we enjoy Every moment. Tickets for this movie theater they do not do advanced tickets and you cannot call in advance to get tickets or go to the place to get tickets. It's the same day ticket sale in for an adult. It's $12 and if you pay cash you get a percentage off. So for us, we managed to get tickets for this movie in particular because it most of the movie theaters for this week. We're completely sold out but definitely wanted to experience the cinema in a classic way in this theater is the place if you want that type of experience. For opening night for a wicked released, they had a YellowBrickRoad carpet for a perfect opportunity for photos they did also have souvenir wine glasses for 20 bucks. The glasses itself is larger than your average wine glass so for all my wine lovers if you want a keep safe I definitely will recommend getting this and they did have a special menu for tonight since it is a big production movie, the layout when you walk into the theater is beautiful. It's definitely something meant to be more of a romantic but classic . You have the lounge chair You have a lamp set up at the table, as well as as your way of ordering your food is through a telephone where it goes straight to the kitchen and they answer automatically and the wait time for the food is not long at all. We got our food shortly after the movie started it which was perfect. The only thing for this movie theater is that any food orders will need to be before the show begins, so I would recommend anybody that does see it a movie at the theater you had to arrive early to be able to put place your order as they prefer to place your order before the movie starts so there won't be an interruptions on people ordering food through throughout the movie. Which is definitely a good way of making sure everyone has all their movie snacks their movie food their movie drinks before the movie start so that you can actually enjoy the movie about having to stop in ordered or be interrupted to order some food so that a plus for them very clever for them to do that. they had different options for tonight due to the opening night of wicked but normally they do have only beer and wine as their main options for alcohol beverage and of course you have your non-alcohol beverage items as well and I got was a specialty drink very light and sweet and on the menu, they have a variety of classic movie foods as well as sandwiches. I got their fish sandwich which was very crispy, but nicely crispy and have that with fries also very good. Definitely a good combination. The atmosphere of the layer of the theater itself is more of like a old school classic theater, where you have the curtains and then the big screen very appealing when you first walk in and the seating is very stressful from each other, so the chairs itself are movable where you can adjust it to your comfort. Overall, it was definitely a fun experience and the movie itself was a 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend this theater if you want more of a classic theater with a beautiful background and layout and of course, a fun way to place your order through a telephone which I find that very unique to do in a fun way.

The Commodore Theatre is what happens when dinner and a movie stop being lazy date night energy and…read moreevolve into pure cinematic luxury. You don't just watch a movie here ...you arrive. Plush seating, actual tables, and servers bringing food while explosions happen on screen makes you feel like royalty who also enjoys popcorn and bad decisions at the concession stand. The theater itself looks like old-school Hollywood decided to move to Portsmouth and never left. The sound is incredible, the screen is huge, and somehow even the fries feel like they deserve an award nomination. Honestly ruined regular movie theaters for me. Now when I go anywhere else, I'm confused why no one is bringing me dinner while I emotionally recover from plot twists. Five stars. Come hungry, leave happy, and prepare to become dramatically judgmental about every other theater afterward.

We have several people in between the cost of tickets and all of the refreshments it can set you back a little bit. The staff is helpful, but sometimes it does take quite a while to get through the line. I always try to pay attention if there are limited releases coming out and get there a little bit early. It's a fun way to spend the afternoon or an evening out. This location is clean and not as overrun and crazy busy as some other locations. I prefer it over going to VB or chesapeake.

Having never screened Lost on a big screen, I jumped at the chance to finally check out Suffolk's Regal while seeing one of (imo) cinema's great films about love, loneliness, and longing. I grabbed a ticket via the Regal app - a simple process that takes little time to complete. For me, the toughest part about driving out to Regal Harbour View is it's far... real far... with tolls (I'm coming from Norfolk). At the same time, I got stuck at the Downtown Tunnel (bridge lift), which almost kept me from arriving on time. Harbour View may be the nicest Regal in the area. It originally opened in November 2000 as a part of the Consolidated Theaters company and didn't officially become a Regal until 2008 (Regal acquired Consolidated Theaters). Based on that timeline, you can tell by glancing at the lobby that its design and architecture is not a Regal concept. That's actually a good thing because the lobby, despite being a little cramped, looks cozy and welcoming. I was greeted quickly upon entering - the ticket taker scanned my ticket on my phone and informed me which theater to go and where it was located. I decided to pick up some snacks and the employee there was just as pleasant and friendly. The theater where I saw Lost looked exactly like a theater at the Regal Strawbridge. I'm assuming there were some renovations made to the theaters themselves, because this specific theater looked brand new. There were 3 other moviegoers in the theater with me. I absolutely loved seeing Lost in Translation on a big screen and enjoyed this experience at this Regal. I hope to visit again soon, despite this location being quite the trip. Thank you, Regal Harbour View! JV

We watched Superman soar and literally felt him get smashed into the concrete. IMAX is beyond anything I could hope for. The clear, crisp sound you feel. I felt bad for Superman. I can tell you that I felt like I was relaxing at home at one point. The Nacho cheese was warm and yummy. I love eating nachos and drinking my slurpee. This theater has pizza, hotdogs, and a candy assortment that pleased my nephews . Parking is good and ticketing is Superman using the in lobby machines. I love picking our seats on that screen, it's huge. All of the staff including the security personnel were so friendly and very professional. Every age group was in the theatre and it was a good time. We are headed back in a few days. Prior to COVID, we lived going to movies and we are getting back in the swing of it now. Oh the theater was super clean, bathrooms are stocked and clean too. The put a few tables and chairs so you can munch out while waiting for everyone in your group to arrive. (Sometimes I LOVE not having to calculate an extra 5-7 minutes of brisk walking through the lot and the mall especially when there's elevators) I can always appreciate how clean this theater is. I used the restroom near the exit this time just to see if it held up... it did. The employees are all really nice and helpful. They're mostly young adults but always smiling and very polite. The food is what it is...Not gourmet or "cafe" style, but always hot and available already packaged. Not to mention, the kiosk option to assist myself, always saves me when there's an expected crowd for a new and exciting movie. Otherwise, I get to take my time to an empty theater on discount Tuesdays.
