My favorite way to watch a movie. Service is great. And my favorite are the drinks but we have gotten lots of good food too

This is an addendum to my precious reviews. Service by staff is wonderful. My only complaint is the chips and dip order. I ordered one with chili con queso. The "chili" portion was more like refried beans at best. Looked unappetizing and tasted worse. Word to Cjbrna Cafe: real chili would come a long way please!

The Cinema Cafe is a fun for the whole family movie and restaurant that is fun for little children like toddlers as well as adults. This is such a fun place to go to when you want to have some food, beverages, and watch a great movie! There is a bar that serves all sorts of adult drinks and a full menu with great food right in the lobby area if you just want to stop by and not even watch a movie. We opt to always come for a new movie that is out and have dinner and drinks while watching it. The burgers and fries are always a to go for us. I never take a picture of the food cause we're eating it inside the theater while the movie is playing and want to be considerate! The Cinema Cafe is clean and the seats are always enjoyable and I always dress warmly cause it tends to be chilly in there and recline my seat up for extra comfort. You have to pre choose your seat when you pay for the movie ticket so there is no walking in and choosing an empty spot. This is one of my husband and myself favorite all in one date spots!

Great movie viewing experience We dropped by Cinema Cafe to, believe it or not, see a movie. I'll say that we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that movie tickets are half off for Wacky Wednesday so two tickets were like 10 bucks! What a deal! The theater was pretty clean - none of the stereotypical sticky floors littered with popcorn. Also, the chairs are pretty large with plenty of leg room. The food was above average, compared to other cafe-type movie theaters. We went with a meat lovers (I forgot the cutesy movie name of the pizza) and chicken tenders, which we enjoyed. I thought the food prices were very reasonable especially for a movie theater. Since we arrived a bit early for our movie, we grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar. Our bartender, whose name has slipped my mind, was awesome. Also, our waitress, Bella, was great. My only (minor) issues were the movie screen was a bit small and the sound system wasn't amazing compared to other theaters that I have visited. Like I said, these "issues" are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I had an excellent experience and hope to make this our go-to theater.

Love this theater!

Food : I love the mini corn dogs . Service : Jules in theater 3 was awesome . A senior member asked about the AC and she was just happy to answer to the best of her ability. She is just a happy servicer . Cinema Cafe is blessed to have her . The room was clean and very well updated.

Awesome seats that only recline buy footrest comes out of nowhere !

Wow, my family had not been in this cinema cafe since their remodel. Have to say I am very impressed. Gone are the old office chairs and they have been replaced with comfortable recliners that have USB ports and power recline with footrest. The screen looked updated so you can see it even in lighted situations. The sound system also sounds better. The food was good but not what it should be for the prices they are charging. I got the Philly cheesesteak which comes with fries but we ordered an additional basket of fries as my wife really liked their crinkle cut fries. Five stars for the new and improved theaters and loungers.

Through these long and strenuous times with many of us taking our time to start coming out to our regular places or even new ones for that matter. It does take a lot more to put us at ease, to even want to mingle at a new place or event, but with people working together it has helped and improved. Specially when some businesses are going out of their way to make it safe and comfortable for you. This can be said about Cinema Cafe, and their friendly masked staff that works non-stop to keep the theatre safe and clean for all of its customers. With the replacement of the sofas, chairs, and tables with brand new recliners with each its very own table to accommodate each person safely. With menus available at each table in a small slot under the table or some can be delivered to you at your request once you press that red button for service. So enjoy your favorite new movies comfortably and safely.

My sister is a Food Runner here and I brought her Monsters so she can survive the day

Cinema Cafe is the only movie theater I go to. My sister, Aurora, now works here as a food runner, which is all the more reason to go for me. The food is always delicious, although a little expensive as expected for a cinema. Service is always quick and attentive, and the seating is comfy. There are buttons to call your server and there's a charging station for your phone. The Kemps River location semi-recently added recliners to their theaters, so you can lean back and enjoy the movie. The pizzas are really popular here, but I always go for the Megaplex platter. There is something for everyone and plenty of it to go around - you get chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, chips and cheese, boneless wings, and onion rings for $26! Not bad at all. I have not taken pictures of my food as it is quite dim in the theater and I didn't want to draw attention to myself and use flash. I am so happy to live where I do where Cinema Cafe is my local theater. I have been coming here since I was little and have always loved it to this day. Definitely catch a flick here if you haven't been already! I will be back to watch Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero when it comes out!!

Does anyone answer their phones? Call and call and nobody answers. We have a pass to see a movie but can't confirm on a phone call.

I am basing my review on the activities that me and my daughter experienced. There is lots of parking at the event and it is free.. which is great to see.... Walking in, we were shocked at how expensive everything was. You are literally spending $50+ per hour per person. We did the mini golf. The course was very small. 18 holes in the dark with glow in the dark balls. It started out great but when we reached around hole 6 a group of 12-15 teenagers came in and started speed running through the course.. they were hitting their balls all over the place. My daughter and I had to step aside for and let them speed their way through. After that there were a couple of older kids that were hitting their balls very hard and they were flying off the course.. one of those balls almost hit my daughter in the head.. they really need some supervision in the mini golf room. Otherwise somebody is going g to get seriously injured... Next we want to the arcade section. My daughter loved the VR experience items. But at $5+ dollars for 5 mins.... It adds up really fast. They have a little store where you can get prizes in exchange for tickets. But the big problem is that there are very few machines that actually give you tickets when you play them. There were a couple of claw machines that gave you a chance to win 100'or so tickets. But when you need thousands of tickets to buy anything.. you are literally spending a lot of money. Most of the machines were claw based machines where you could win a prize or the coin push machines which are hard to win anything out of. Overall, I was not a big fan of Apex. It is very expensive for what you get.. you can easily spend over $100 per hour in this place to try all the different things. Unless you have a big promo or coupon that gives you a huge discount.... It is not worth the money. The other big issue is that there is very little supervision of all the kids running around. Most of the staff look like they are high school students working a summer job. Like I mentioned earlier, my daughter almost getting hit in the head with a golf ball is unacceptable!!! Highly don't recommend coming here unless you can get a huge discount.

One thing missing is an information desk. And if they had one, I never saw it…read more I only did the bowling activity which was fun; there are so many lanes and a VIP room with additional lanes. The cost was per lane vs per person and you pay at the counter in the bowling area. If you're in the military/a vet let them know as you get a DISCOUNT. Not only that, but shoe rental and sock are free, (normally around $3.50 each). Since I didn't go in with intentions to bowl I didn't bring any, but was able to get a free pair since my cousins benefit applied to everyone in the party. The socks are actually cute (to me). It was very busy on a Friday evening and the crowd seemed to be teens and adults. Very few small kids. The servers come to the lanes to take orders, and the tablet at the bowling lane has a button to press for their help. Since it was taking long, we just ordered drinks from the bar nearby. The food, ordered later was simple, but good. -Sunset strawberry sangria is good, but could use more strawberry flavor. - Mozzarella sticks are no different then what you'd get at the grocery store and for the price the amount given isn't enough. - Wings, got a double order, 1/2 sweet chili, 1/2 garlic parmesan. I've often seen the latter on menus and steered clear because it didn't sound appealing. However, since it was ordered (for the group) I figured I'd give it a try. It was Soooooo good that I before I left I placed a to go order. Servers and staff were overall kind, but very busy. Lots of running and trying to take care of everyone. There weren't many smiles, but I imagine they were focused on the task at hand. Anyway, be kind and be patient. If you're staying at a nearby hotel let them know your going to Apex. I did (as I inquired about directions) and was given afree pass for laser tag, which I gave away.

The zoo offers discounted tickets to special events for members and even has an event where you can bring your dog! I really enjoy that this zoo offers plenty of different species of animals and wide open areas for kids to explore. A train is normally running and the exhibits have wide trails with plenty of viewing platforms and windows. The staff is always friendly and they have a robust gift shop. I haven't personally ever tried their food but they offer a few cafes and dipping dots throughout the park.

Laid out in zones with boardwalk style pathways you will find zebras, a bear, lions, rhinoceros, orangutans , giraffes, meerkats, reptiles, tortoises, turtles and more. While there are no elephants, hippos, camels, or larger primates they do have a nice assembly of animals. The otters and meerkats were especially active during our visit, playing and put on quite a show for us. It took us roughly 2 hours or so to walk the zoo and could have easily stayed longer if the heat was not so oppressive. Many of the animals were seeking relief from the heat as well and hiding so we missed out on the red pandas, cheetah, and some others. While vacationing it's important to know where your excursion dollars are going and what value the experience will hold. The VA zoo receives a two thumbs up and recommendation from me
