Cinemark officially opened at the north end of the parking lot at the Mall at Rockingham Park, just in time for opening weekend of the latest Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie. This cinema offers 12 screens including one XD 3D theater and stadium style auditorium seating in each theater. The seating is reserved for most popular films and you can choose your seats online or at the theater on the self serve kiosks or at the ticket counter. The concession stand at the time of this review offered the basics including popcorn, candy, snacks, nachos, self serve Coke Freestyle fountain drinks and Icees. In 2020, they will offer hot prepared foods such as burgers, personal pizzas, chicken tenders, and hot wings. I stopped in after work at the new Cinemark to see the new Star Wars movie. I made it here before 4pm and got the $15 Matinee price for the XD 3D screening of Star Wars and provided 3D glasses upon entering the theater. The seating in the extreme digital theater was very nice with a huge curved screen (from ceiling to floor) and stadium style soft plush reclining seating complete with individual tray & drink holder, foot rest and heated temperature control of the seat. I was very comfortable reclined back, so comfortable that I almost fell asleep and had to recline my seat more upright. The movie wearing my 3D glasses and loud sound effects from their surround sound system felt very realistic. After the movie, upon exiting, the staff collected the 3D glasses and directed patrons to the short exit hallway with restrooms conveniently located to the right near the exit doors. Overall, Cinemark is now a great option for seeing the latest 3D digital movies in Salem, probably competing with AMC in Methuen, O'Neil Cinemas in Epping and Cinemagic Imax in Hooksett.

Better than AMC in every way. Huge screens with fancy clean seats that heats up. Snacks are cheaper with it being in New Hampshire.

Once you get past those gates you really get to take the whole castle in and it's beautiful. This place was such a great backdrop for pictures that the wedding didn't really need much decorating. I also loved that the wedding guests were allowed to roam the castle and take pictures inside. This place really gave that elegant and vintage look that the bride was looking for. The person in charge of the castle was so friendly and kept walking around making sure everyone was comfortable and all their needs were being met. This place is a gem hidden among the trees and is truly a beautiful location for a wedding.

Not only that, but the entire staff was amazing from start to finish. They were all super accommodating and moved with a purpose, they all worked so seamlessly together. I had an accident with my foot right in the middle of cocktail hour, where I was sure I was going to have to go to the hospital, and the party would have to go on without the bride and groom. The entire staff acted immediately with first aid, getting medical attention, and even set up a hidden stool with ice under my table to elevate my foot. They all made sure I was taken care of and went above and beyond our expectations. I can't say enough about the staff and how incredible my experience was with them all. They have an onsite catering company, and the food was so delicious! On top of all that, A BEAUTIFUL venue for a romantic, memorable, fairy tale wedding. The scenery is picture perfect, and our photos turned out phenomenally! A beautiful venue inside and outside, every inch of the castle is breathtaking. My husband and I feel so lucky to have gotten married here. If you are looking for a perfect venue for a wedding your guests will NEVER forget, book your wedding at Searles Castle!

It could have used more seasoning, and the medium steak was well done, but everything was fresh, so we appreciated that. The views and grounds were incredible, but what I wanted to focus on was the Service. It more than made up for the food! We have traveled all over and eat out quite a bit (too often), and this place has the best staff we have had the pleasure of dining with. We were greeted by Diane, and Patti was our server. Both were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Diane, the hostess, greeted us with the biggest smile and was so welcoming. She walked us to our seats and even offered to move our table so we could have the best view. We closed the place down, and we decided last minute to get a gift card for friends we knew would love the experience. She restarted the POS system to do this for us, even though it was late, she could have asked us to come back another day. Patti was so helpful with food and drink selections. She checked on us often but was not intrusive. Even the younger staff moving tables at the end of the night smiled a lot and made conversation with us. There was an acoustic guitarist playing in the background at just the perfect volume. It enhanced the experience. Some places we've been the music has been obnoxiously loud. Clearly their focus is on top-notch service and they seem to enjoy working together. We were so impressed and look forward to going back.

When it WAS available, it was cool, and chicken parmesan was undercooked to the extent that I worried that three mouthfuls I did eat would make me sick later on. Potatoes were OVERcooked, as was the zucchini, which was also too garlicky. There was only a single serving station while the number of guests probably merited two, which may have been the reason those nearer the end of the line had cold entrees. However....went a second time and there was a different bartender (bigger woman with straw-like hair and glasses) who made this experience extremely uncomfortable, unenjoyable and overall hostile for my friends and I (on my birthday!). The minute we walked in she was rude.. "hi how are you?" "Got an I.d.?!?!??! Get all of your i.d.'s out!" Now I had just obtained my federal/new i.d. .. the dmv also let me hold on to my old hard copy while waiting for my new copy to come in. Anyways, I give her both because it was clear she would give me a hard time if I didnt. Her response? "What is this?! Why are you giving me two?! I dont know what this is?!"...uh, you dont know what a paper i.d. is?.....I didnt say this but that's what I had going through my head. After she carefully looked it over for five minutes I ordered a margarita. She said she "made it herself" ..the mix? I had no idea what she meant by that. Anyways...it was all mix. I paid a whopping five dollars for sugar in a cup. I'm tiny and let me tell you I had no buzz from this drink.. I truly believe it was all mix. Fast forward to an hour later. It's my birthday..my cousin orders a round of shots for the three of us. We were drinking mcgilicuddys (only 40% alcohol or something similar.. you know. The weak shit) another hour goes by and I go up to order us another round..when I tell you I felt like I was in an interrogation room with an officer I'm not joking. It was 21 questions. The first thing out of her mouth is "your cut off" mind you she said this extremely loud in front of everyone... I looked at her confused and said "what?" So then she asks me a series of questions: who are all these shots for? How many have you had total? You live pretty far. Dont you? I couldnt wrap my head around this. You cut people off when they have had too much or cause an altercation or theres some sort of instance where they are slurring their words..stumbling all over the place..right? I was none of the above. I then answered all her questions and kindly ending the conversation by saying, "it's my birthday and I am ubering home." In the back of my mind I'm thinking okay...half the place is tanked, have you shut anyone else off? I definitely felt targeted and stereotyped in this situation. I'm a young and attractive women. I felt from the moment I walked in, this woman had some sort of vendetta against me. So she gives me the 3 shots. After this I'm finally feeling nice and having fun playing pool with my family and friend. We go up for one last drink...its 12:15 and theres someone in front of us. Of course she talked to them forever and took her sweet time. Fast forward to 12:31 ...she screams at us "CANT SERVE YOU!" confused because the people in front of us just walked away with their drink, we ask what time is closing time? Her response....12:30. At this point I'm like okay she did that on purpose..we have been standing here for 15 minutes!! This is a joke, right?! So I told her this and she says "you have a long ride home I should have cut you all off hours ago!!" And then a blonde woman next to her (also a bartender there) jumps in very hostile and says "if she cut you off she has her reasons!" We left.... my cousin lives across the street, you could literally throw a rock at his house. Conclusion: I will never step foot in this place again because of that bartender. Did I add that she was trashed with a drink in her hand all night? I'm really not one to post reviews but I have never felt so embarrassed or disrespected like that in my life. Terrible service. And I understand that some people should be cut off but I was not over the limit, incoherent or rude in any way to this women. I felt it was a female, jealousy-type issue. My mother has said this to me before, when your young and pretty people will mess with you for no reason (people being ugly, and possibly older, women). I have never really experience that until last night. I finaly get what she was saying and this made me think of just that!!! So. If you see the overweight, older woman with brown, straw hair.....you might be in for a treat.i wish I had got her name.

One of the windows was broken in the room so it being the beginning of January you can imagine it was a quite cold in there. They let us use the kitchen but it was really dirty. The microwave was gross, I didn't even want to touch it! The plastic part that helps the glass inside move was also broken, so it didn't spin. The room itself was decent when you first look at it, but the more attention you pay to it you can tell they don't do much maintenance at all as there were cobwebs everywhere. There was also hole in the wall that was supposed to house some kind of electrical socket but was just open. Asked for a pitcher of water and by the time we finished it we saw that there was a gross clear glue type substance on the inside of the pitcher and when we told the person that gave us the pitcher, she just laughed and tried to wipe it off. Which she couldn't. All in all, gross place. If you must use them, prepare to pre-clean the place. You know, their job.
