10/21/22- 0028 Friday Place is very clean. Parking lot is pretty big. Gives military/ veteran discount.

Since there update, Cinemark Central Plano has become one of my favorite Cinemark locations. The seats recline more than other locations plus have the option to warm your seats.

So we wanted to check out the new Cinemark that replaced a dollar theatre apparently... We never knew about the dollar theatre as we are recent transplants. Since I'm a Cinemark Member, I received information regarding the theatre. It said it had been completely remodeled and that it now had stadium seating. Which it did! When we arrived, the concessions were basically the same, standard movie junk food, popcorn, icees, pop, etc. They also have a partial bar that has frozen drinks, like frozen jack and coke, margaritas, etc. but the concessions and "bar" are a lot smaller in area compared to what we're used to at Legacy. It matches the size of the theatre. I believe there are only 10 movies showing at one time and the individual theatres are pretty small as well. Like some are a quarter or half the size of the stadium seating we're used to at Cinemark Legacy. We actually liked the smaller size of the theatre. We saw a movie at 3:30, so the kids weren't out of school yet! Bonus, so we had the whole theatre to ourselves. But the bigger bonus is....the seats are heated! Yes! It was like having the perfect temperature heating pad, perfectly located at your lower back! It was heaven. There's a small button in the middle of the chair buttons that turns it on. I kept that thing on for the entire movie! My back feels great! That alone may keep us coming back. The extra 15 minute drive is worth the heated seats! So, needless to say, we had a great time and the movie wasn't bad either. We saw Adam Sandler's new movie, "Uncut Gems"... All in all we are happy we decided to check it out!

This movie theater definitely competes with Cinemark Legacy. If you haven't been here since it was Cinemark movies 10, I definitely think you're going to be impressed because all of the seats are leather recliners like they have at Cinemark Legacy. The seats also have seat coolers and seat warmers. They did take out the little arcade that they had here, but it is what it is. Definitely I think you'll like it.

What an amazing venue to see a movie! Not to mention all the games and snack options!…read more We took the grandkids to see "The Sheep Detective" after seeing a preview for it months ago while viewing the movie "David." This theater is so much nicer than the previous venue we went to and the cost was less expensive. Like night and day. I was going to buy advance tickets but we decided to just get them there at show time since it was not a busy day/time. You select the movie and time and pick your seat(s) on the order kiosk. Then select your payment and the tickets print off. Take them to the attendant and you're on your way! Once in the corresponding theater, you find your seat as they are all numbered. The reclining seats were very comfortable and in good working condition. The popcorn was warm and fresh. I would absolutely recommend this theater and can't wait to come back!

Last time it was Wuthering Heights which is on HBO now and I tried torturing him with prior to having him sit through Euphoria szn 3. I think Devil Wears Prada 2 + Euphoria was the perfect combo for him to be thrilled to be back in LA and away from me. This was our first time to this Cinemark, I'm an extremely fast learner and notes were taken immediately upon arrival. Pro tip here: bring your cozy movie blanket. I'll need to purchase a dedicated blanket for this purpose because I am the type of weirdo who wouldn't feel comfy cozy to use my sofa blankie at the theatre and then return home to use it without washing it. I'm just neurotic like that. The seats were great, recliners WITH HEATERS. I love a heated seat, not toilet seat - those creep me out but a vehicle seat and now that I've had the option, a movie seat. Popcorn was mediocre at best, soft drink was subpar and I don't drink soda so when I'm going to have one it's a disappointment if it's not great. Perhaps the syrup needed to be replaced or it was some off brand to actual Sprite which my palate will detect immediately. This theatre was great in a pinch. I purchased our seats online a few minutes before deciding we'd take in a late show. I was actually concerned a bunch of people would be dressed to the nines since it was Devil Wears Prada and I was not changing out of my loungewear for this outing so I was thrilled that the 10p Plano crowd was not "after date" show dressed up, just a totally casual Saturday evening crowd which set me at ease. Wouldn't rule out returning for other films in the future and next time with my allocated movie theatre blanket.

The woman up front who sold us our tickets was especially helpful and answered questions we didn't know we had. She showed us her screen so we could select our seats. Only 2 others tickets had been purchased. That's it! There were only four of us in our screening room. We aimed for the seats in the center. It was the best viewing. The downside is that these seats do NOT recline. They look like recliners, but apparently only the front two rows have reclining seats. That was unfortunate. The seats are also a pleather-like material, so if you wear shorts or a short skirt, your skin might stick to it. It was a little warmer than I expected in the theater, but I'm guessing they don't bother having the temperature gauge low anymore because they don't get a lot of bodies in seats heating up the place. We were given a menu by the woman at front, but there was also a QR code on the tray table at our seat. There is a big red button on the front of the seat for calling the server. Our Margherita pizza and vanilla milkshake were brought out separately. The shake was delivered long after we had eaten our pizza. Even though we had arrived well before the movie started and ordered right away, the food didn't come out until right as the movie was starting. I was actually hoping the food would be delivered sooner so we could eat before it got dark. Per usual, I ended up with food spilling on my dress. Plus, I would have liked to drank my shake while splitting the pizza with my husband. He ordered a diet Pepsi - both a big NO in my book. Overall it was a decent experience. We usually go to the SMG in our neighborhood, but this one in Plano had a start time that worked better with our schedule, so we made the drive here. We will most likely return to our local SMG where all the seats recline, the theater is cold, and all of the food and drink are delivered at the same time.

I also received the wrong order; I had ordered the chicken nachos but was given the chips and queso. The nachos themself were not very good. The chips had the heavy oil flavor from being fried, and the chicken was grounded. Lastly, which is so odd to me, but the "gourmet" popcorn is not refillable and it also had that heavy oil flavor.

Saw Toy Story 5 here recently which will date this review in short fashion with time!…read more I appreciated that the theater was overall clean and well-kept. The very young employees working to let people in didn't even scan our tickets, which was not an issue, but it could prove to be a problem for the theater if they don't have someone watching this a bit more closely. The preview/ ads before the movie were a full 30 minutes, which I found a bit excessive. I know all theaters have quite a few previews and wonder how much this varies. Reclining seats were comfortable, volume was appropriate, and temperature was nice without being arctic, as some theaters could be. What I didn't love was a $2 booking fee for buying your ticket online (per ticket) with a push to join a Cinemark monthly membership club to waive this fee. Seeing a movie in theaters is already quite expensive these days, so I didn't love the additional 17% fee on matinee ticket just for it to be purchased online. At the end of the day it's of course worth it to not be in the front row or far edge, but just tricky how most everything these days incurs hidden fees that can add up when trying to do family / group activities. Overall, the quality of this theater is still strong with some minor qualms likely characteristic of the industry.

This place is huge with other fun things you can do there like an arcade/bar/bowling. I haven't had a chance to do those but maybe someday... For me the food and the service has always been great, I usually get the same thing every time which is girl dinner: Chicken Caesar salad +fries + water and then maybe sometimes a dessert. This last time made me sad because the food was just not up to its usual standard. I was missing parts of my salad which were the crunchy parm crisps that tie the whole salad together! I searched for them in the darkness but alas...there were none. My fries were lukewarm at best, still crunchy and salty, but usually they're piping hot and fresh. When I tried to order dessert, the server came to my seat and told me all you had were the churros, so I cancelled my order because I just was not feeling that. I figured it was due to the fact that they had a private party, which I suspected from the beginning as the parking was packed, which for a Tuesday night, I was surprised to see since I usually have my days off during the week and have never seen this. All in all, I prefer this theater over other major chains like Cinemark or Regal just because they have always been consistent, I feel like they have a very diverse menu, and the place is always clean with comfy recliner seats. Oscar did reach out to me when I sent in my concerns over my last experience when they asked for a review, he said he wants to make sure my next visit is an enjoyable one, which I appreciated. One bad food experience isn't going to deter me from coming back as I said, this is not the norm. Mortal Kombat 2 is out and I will be watching that with my boyfriend and hopefully this time we get to experience those cute couches and the food service that I know and love. I still recommend this theater to my friends and I will be back.

It did not take long at all for our order, but I will say there were only a few of us in the theater for this particular show. We tried their fried chicken sandwich, cheese pizza, and bottomless soda. The fried chicken sandwich was great. Perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The toppings for the chicken chicken sandwich sounded a little strange, but they worked really well together and had a delicious flavor. The pizza was really not to our liking at all. It was thicker crust and my wife did not care for the flavor really. We never did figure out how to get a diet Coke refill.
