Since there update, Cinemark Central Plano has become one of my favorite Cinemark locations. The seats recline more than other locations plus have the option to warm your seats.

10/21/22- 0028 Friday Place is very clean. Parking lot is pretty big. Gives military/ veteran discount.

So we wanted to check out the new Cinemark that replaced a dollar theatre apparently... We never knew about the dollar theatre as we are recent transplants. Since I'm a Cinemark Member, I received information regarding the theatre. It said it had been completely remodeled and that it now had stadium seating. Which it did! When we arrived, the concessions were basically the same, standard movie junk food, popcorn, icees, pop, etc. They also have a partial bar that has frozen drinks, like frozen jack and coke, margaritas, etc. but the concessions and "bar" are a lot smaller in area compared to what we're used to at Legacy. It matches the size of the theatre. I believe there are only 10 movies showing at one time and the individual theatres are pretty small as well. Like some are a quarter or half the size of the stadium seating we're used to at Cinemark Legacy. We actually liked the smaller size of the theatre. We saw a movie at 3:30, so the kids weren't out of school yet! Bonus, so we had the whole theatre to ourselves. But the bigger bonus is....the seats are heated! Yes! It was like having the perfect temperature heating pad, perfectly located at your lower back! It was heaven. There's a small button in the middle of the chair buttons that turns it on. I kept that thing on for the entire movie! My back feels great! That alone may keep us coming back. The extra 15 minute drive is worth the heated seats! So, needless to say, we had a great time and the movie wasn't bad either. We saw Adam Sandler's new movie, "Uncut Gems"... All in all we are happy we decided to check it out!

This movie theater definitely competes with Cinemark Legacy. If you haven't been here since it was Cinemark movies 10, I definitely think you're going to be impressed because all of the seats are leather recliners like they have at Cinemark Legacy. The seats also have seat coolers and seat warmers. They did take out the little arcade that they had here, but it is what it is. Definitely I think you'll like it.

Nice place and it is affordable. I was a little shocked that they let their employees be on their phones while working.

Went to see TOP GUN, the sound system was disappointing, feeling the action through the sound is half the enjoyment. Turn it up!

The highlights for me are definitely the seats--they are reclining and heated, making it incredibly easy to settle in and get comfortable for a long film. Sat down at the bar - ordered cocktail, street corn, and a cauliflower crust pizza to share for two. The pizza came out looking like it was broken and it was barely warm. Nothing says an adult dinner like lukewarm pizza - the bartender didn't seem all that friendly so we ate it instead of sending it back to be reheated. The street corn was decent. The service was far worse - received paper napkins and no silverware, even though the cloth napkins (rolled with silverware inside) were in a tray right next to us. I asked our server and got them myself. We weren't even offered plates - what are we supposed to eat the pizza on??? Never asked if we wanted crushed pepper or shredded cheese for the pizza. Lesson learned - eat dinner before showing up to this theater.

They have a bar and…read morerestaurant where you can go hangout or you can indulge in a meal and a drink while watching a show on one of their big screens. We recently saw Project Hail Mary here on a Tuesday night. My husband bought the tickets in advance on Fandango so he could reserve our seats. He said it was surprisingly cheap, and my husband NEVER says that! LOL! The strip mall has a lot of parking, so you are bound to find something close. Check-in is just inside the door. The different screening rooms wrap around the hall. The aisles are wide so that you and a server can get through without bumping into the recliner chairs. The chairs are decently comfortable, but the middle seats get used a bit more than others, so you might notice that they aren't as supportive nowadays. There is a swing table with a QR code to access the menu. WiFi is free. ADH is really strict about phone use during movies and with unnecessary talking. They will not hesitate to boot you, but they have softened their stance a bit now that the menus are accessible by phone. I ordered everything online. The process was super easy to add drinks and food. I didn't like having to pull out my credit card and try to enter that in the dark. I really wish they had offered payments through PayPal and Apple Pay. We had margaritas, bottomless popcorn, and a pizza, but NO NAPKINS! My popcorn was given to the guy next to me, but he was nice and said, "This must be yours.". I handed it to my husband. The servers cane and went several times bringing food and drinks to various people. The movie started and still no pizza. I was not happy about this. We got there early so I wouldn't have to eat in the dark. It finally arrived, but I was not impressed. I ordered the Margherita. It was soggy, so the crust didn't hold the ingredients. I had to fold each slice NY style to prevent myself from wearing it. The mozzarella rounds on top were not really melted. They were still thick circle slices. I would not order this again. The popcorn was good, but I wasn't sure how to get seconds for our bottomless order. The QR code did have something that said seconds, but I didn't dare turn on my phone to put in a request during the film for fear of being booted. Maybe next time I will just get a standard popcorn. It's cheaper. Film was loud! Too loud for my hubby. He had his fingers in his ears the entire time. I was okay with it, but you definitely wouldn't want to make a habit of coming to see films here and risk your hearing longterm. ADH has some fun old films that they show each month. These special events often include props related to the film. It looks like fun. We will have to check it out eventually. We usually come here for new screenings that aren't available on streaming yet. They also have a monthly membership that allows you to see multiple films each month without the hassle of paying each time. That's a great idea for the movie aficionado or someone who likes to go out regularly. I do love the movie experience and try to support this local film house whenever I get a chance.

This place is huge with other fun things you can do there like an arcade/bar/bowling. I haven't had a chance to do those but maybe someday... For me the food and the service has always been great, I usually get the same thing every time which is girl dinner: Chicken Caesar salad +fries + water and then maybe sometimes a dessert. This last time made me sad because the food was just not up to its usual standard. I was missing parts of my salad which were the crunchy parm crisps that tie the whole salad together! I searched for them in the darkness but alas...there were none. My fries were lukewarm at best, still crunchy and salty, but usually they're piping hot and fresh. When I tried to order dessert, the server came to my seat and told me all you had were the churros, so I cancelled my order because I just was not feeling that. I figured it was due to the fact that they had a private party, which I suspected from the beginning as the parking was packed, which for a Tuesday night, I was surprised to see since I usually have my days off during the week and have never seen this. All in all, I prefer this theater over other major chains like Cinemark or Regal just because they have always been consistent, I feel like they have a very diverse menu, and the place is always clean with comfy recliner seats. Oscar did reach out to me when I sent in my concerns over my last experience when they asked for a review, he said he wants to make sure my next visit is an enjoyable one, which I appreciated. One bad food experience isn't going to deter me from coming back as I said, this is not the norm. Mortal Kombat 2 is out and I will be watching that with my boyfriend and hopefully this time we get to experience those cute couches and the food service that I know and love. I still recommend this theater to my friends and I will be back.

You access the menu via QR code with your phone. Very easy to order. A bit of a mystery on how to get a soda refill or how to get just a cup of tapwater with ice. It did not take long at all for our order, but I will say there were only a few of us in the theater for this particular show. We tried their fried chicken sandwich, cheese pizza, and bottomless soda. The fried chicken sandwich was great. Perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The toppings for the chicken chicken sandwich sounded a little strange, but they worked really well together and had a delicious flavor. The pizza was really not to our liking at all. It was thicker crust and my wife did not care for the flavor really. We never did figure out how to get a diet Coke refill.
