No in-theatre dining, despite advertisements and web! There's a snack bar with typical movie food and some drinks. Plan accordingly!!

Cinemark Dallas XD and IMAX is a movie theater in Dallas with an assortment of theater types from…read moreIMAX Digital, XD (with DBox Seating), and 2D Digital screens with recliners. My review focuses on the different types of seating and the greatness of online ordering. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Theater, Return) Atmosphere - Upon entering, you'll find a huge concession stand in the middle complete with movie candy and snacks to entice you as you make your way to order popcorn. There's an arcade on the right, and another concession stand for ordering more food along with tons of seating. If you order ahead, you can pick up your concessions here (see below for more details). 1 Star. Service - I'm going to focus on the Cinemark app. Who needs Moviefone when I can use the app for everything? I can select a theater, choose a movie, choose my seat, and even order concessions. Seriously, kudos to the Cinemark team, I show up at movie time, pick up my popcorn and concession that I ordered online, and head to my movie. No stress/wait, just time saved. 1 Star. Theater - Not all screens are the same. Here's a breakdown of what to expect: 1. IMAX - It's IMAX Digital - not a full-blown IMAX experience, but still good. The IMAX screen is dedicated to one side. It has its own concession stand, but it's never open. Finally, these are regular seats - no recliners. 2. XD - This is Cinemark's best experience. Huge floor to wall screen with reclining seats. There are also a few DBox seats which are more immersive (and expensive). There are two XD screens at this location. 3. 2D Digital - This is Cinemark's standard screen. They have multiple screens that vary in size, and they all have reclining seats. If you're not sure what experience your movie is showing on, check the website or app. Most blockbuster movies will be shown in IMAX and XD opening weekend, then will move to the smaller 2D Digital screens. Expect to pay about $50 for 2 people and concessions. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I really like the convenience of selecting a movie and buying it online along with my concessions. I'm also a Movie Club member (check Cinemark for details as pricing varies by location) and buying/refunding tickets and concessions are super easy. 1 Star.

One of the employees, an older lady, kindly let me know that I could order food directly from my seat instead of waiting in line, which was a nice touch. I do wish there were more milkshake flavors available besides chocolate and vanilla. On the food side, the shrimp and roasted corn pizza was surprisingly good. As a pescatarian, I appreciated having an option that fit my diet. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that the paper towel dispensers seemed a bit stingy with how much they dispensed at a time. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and I would come back again.

Now, let's talk about customer service... My food was delivered to the wrong person due to a ticket mix-up. My friend ordered a wrap and didn't receive it until an hour into the movie--and only after she asked about it. When it finally arrived, the server said it was late because they "couldn't find it." That's not an explanation--it's a lack of accountability. The staff could really benefit from training on taking ownership instead of passing the blame. As for the food: It was average. Nothing memorable, and definitely not worth the price. The portions were small, especially for what you're paying.

We had ordered the tickets in advance and you pre-select your seats. We ordered popcorn before the show. The lady at the concession stand was very nice and she provided extra bowls so it was easy to share the popcorn. The popcorn was delicious! Sadly, a few of our reclining seats did not recline. We probably could have moved since there was an abundance of empty seats. There couldn't have been more than 10 other patrons at our showing. We decided to just stay in our pre-selected seats. The restrooms were deplorable! In all, we enjoyed the movie and our time together, but this theater is in desperate need of renovations.

Thinking it was just an online issue, I drove to the theater to buy my ticket in person. Instead of trying to help or politely explaining the policy, he spoke to me aggressively and simply told me they were closed. I understand that theaters may have policies about admitting guests after a movie has started, but customer service still matters. The combination of the ticketing issue and the way I was treated was disappointing. Because of this experience, I won't be returning.

This theater is so much nicer than the previous venue we went to and the cost was less expensive. Like night and day. I was going to buy advance tickets but we decided to just get them there at show time since it was not a busy day/time. You select the movie and time and pick your seat(s) on the order kiosk. Then select your payment and the tickets print off. Take them to the attendant and you're on your way! Once in the corresponding theater, you find your seat as they are all numbered. The reclining seats were very comfortable and in good working condition. The popcorn was warm and fresh. I would absolutely recommend this theater and can't wait to come back!

Last time it was Wuthering Heights which is on HBO now and I tried torturing him with prior to having him sit through Euphoria szn 3. I think Devil Wears Prada 2 + Euphoria was the perfect combo for him to be thrilled to be back in LA and away from me. This was our first time to this Cinemark, I'm an extremely fast learner and notes were taken immediately upon arrival. Pro tip here: bring your cozy movie blanket. I'll need to purchase a dedicated blanket for this purpose because I am the type of weirdo who wouldn't feel comfy cozy to use my sofa blankie at the theatre and then return home to use it without washing it. I'm just neurotic like that. The seats were great, recliners WITH HEATERS. I love a heated seat, not toilet seat - those creep me out but a vehicle seat and now that I've had the option, a movie seat. Popcorn was mediocre at best, soft drink was subpar and I don't drink soda so when I'm going to have one it's a disappointment if it's not great. Perhaps the syrup needed to be replaced or it was some off brand to actual Sprite which my palate will detect immediately. This theatre was great in a pinch. I purchased our seats online a few minutes before deciding we'd take in a late show. I was actually concerned a bunch of people would be dressed to the nines since it was Devil Wears Prada and I was not changing out of my loungewear for this outing so I was thrilled that the 10p Plano crowd was not "after date" show dressed up, just a totally casual Saturday evening crowd which set me at ease. Wouldn't rule out returning for other films in the future and next time with my allocated movie theatre blanket.

They have a bar and…read morerestaurant where you can go hangout or you can indulge in a meal and a drink while watching a show on one of their big screens. We recently saw Project Hail Mary here on a Tuesday night. My husband bought the tickets in advance on Fandango so he could reserve our seats. He said it was surprisingly cheap, and my husband NEVER says that! LOL! The strip mall has a lot of parking, so you are bound to find something close. Check-in is just inside the door. The different screening rooms wrap around the hall. The aisles are wide so that you and a server can get through without bumping into the recliner chairs. The chairs are decently comfortable, but the middle seats get used a bit more than others, so you might notice that they aren't as supportive nowadays. There is a swing table with a QR code to access the menu. WiFi is free. ADH is really strict about phone use during movies and with unnecessary talking. They will not hesitate to boot you, but they have softened their stance a bit now that the menus are accessible by phone. I ordered everything online. The process was super easy to add drinks and food. I didn't like having to pull out my credit card and try to enter that in the dark. I really wish they had offered payments through PayPal and Apple Pay. We had margaritas, bottomless popcorn, and a pizza, but NO NAPKINS! My popcorn was given to the guy next to me, but he was nice and said, "This must be yours.". I handed it to my husband. The servers cane and went several times bringing food and drinks to various people. The movie started and still no pizza. I was not happy about this. We got there early so I wouldn't have to eat in the dark. It finally arrived, but I was not impressed. I ordered the Margherita. It was soggy, so the crust didn't hold the ingredients. I had to fold each slice NY style to prevent myself from wearing it. The mozzarella rounds on top were not really melted. They were still thick circle slices. I would not order this again. The popcorn was good, but I wasn't sure how to get seconds for our bottomless order. The QR code did have something that said seconds, but I didn't dare turn on my phone to put in a request during the film for fear of being booted. Maybe next time I will just get a standard popcorn. It's cheaper. Film was loud! Too loud for my hubby. He had his fingers in his ears the entire time. I was okay with it, but you definitely wouldn't want to make a habit of coming to see films here and risk your hearing longterm. ADH has some fun old films that they show each month. These special events often include props related to the film. It looks like fun. We will have to check it out eventually. We usually come here for new screenings that aren't available on streaming yet. They also have a monthly membership that allows you to see multiple films each month without the hassle of paying each time. That's a great idea for the movie aficionado or someone who likes to go out regularly. I do love the movie experience and try to support this local film house whenever I get a chance.

We ended…read moreup here after our first choice did not have seats together for the movie we wanted to see. We bought tickets online, which showed the theater was nearly sold out. But in reality, the theater was not full. So I am not quite sure what was going on. The theater has not changed and has not been updated since our 2011 visit. The theater is showing its age. The seats we had were broken. They were stuck in one position and could only be changed with considerable physical force. I had to get up and kick the seat many times to get it to a normal upright position. The seats were not comfortable. The theater we were in (#1) had a screen that was too small for the size. The theater was quite large and we were towards the back, Row G, and screen seemed barely adequate. Maybe it would have been better if we had been closer. The previews appeared not to be in HD although the picture quality for the main show was fine. Aside from our broken chairs, another complaint is the fact that servers were walking in front of us nearly the entire show. You think that ordering food and drink as you watch a movie is a good idea, but it is not. It became really annoying to constantly have servers walk in front of us, which was distracting especially during key moments of the movie. We did not order any food but the people to the right and left of us did, so we had people walking in front of us the entire show. The wife and I both said that the experience was not enjoyable and we will not return to this theater.
