We choose iPic to see the movie Michael. This is my second time to frequent this place. We enjoy the personalized experience and comfort without having to miss any of the movie. The price points for the service and experience are aligned with the expectation; however, the restroom situation was atrocious. The smell, the oil/ grime made for a slippery walk, and the toilets themselves most were not clean. Upon exiting the restroom there were three others talking about the same restroom experience. I chose iPic Fairview because I previously hosted a private premiere for my TV show at another iPic location, and that experience was phenomenal. Unfortunately, this event was the complete opposite. I booked a private premiere screening of The Devil Wears Prada, and the Event Sales Manager made multiple promises that the theater ultimately could not deliver. We were told we'd have early access for setup, access to Studio 1 with space for a private cocktail hour, and several other accommodations that simply did not happen. The day of the event, my team and I were left scrambling trying to adjust in real time while hosting guests. To make matters worse, every single filet mignon steak served was overcooked. For a premium theater experience with premium pricing, that's unacceptable. But the most alarming part came after the event. I left with a confirmed zero balance. Then, TWO DAYS LATER, I was hit with an unexpected charge of nearly $2,000 on my Amex. When I questioned it, I was told the Event Sales Manager's "last day was tomorrow" and that I should direct any questions to a local representative. No accountability. No transparency. Just chaos. Ipic was our go to theater for many years but after our recent visit we will have to take our business elsewhere. First and foremost when we entered the front doors it was extremely warm and we noticed large fans placed around the lobby. Bad sign #1. Secondly they have check in screens downstairs where you used to be able to print your own tickets but those also haven't worked in years. Once we get upstairs we are told the AC has been on the decline for months and has finally gone out. The only reason we stayed was because they confirmed that the AC was working perfectly fine in the theater. Then we were told there is a limited menu as well as their call button system is down. Once we got to our seats we were greeted fairly quickly by our server and we just asked him straight up what was going on with this place. Our server confirmed that they had been hacked several months back and they have not been able to fix it. GREAT! And now I'm expected to use my credit card at this place if we want any snacks or drinks?! We had not eaten because we planned for some light bites during the movie so we decided to risk it but only because our server confirmed that they don't store our CC anymore and instead you pay at last call. Fine. The prices are INSANE. $7.95 for a Coke Zero and $15 for some Sysco style pretzel bites. I can really tell they are struggling financially because you no longer get free popcorn (think that stopped during Covid) and they also seemed to have moved the pool table accessories behind the front desk so you now have to pay for that as well. Needless to say we will not be returning. I worked in the service industry when I was younger and I know it stinks when you have to be the person that people complain to about things that are completely out of your control. They are at the mercy of the GM and C-Suite execs that don't seem to care at all about their customers. With that said this review is not directed at the workers we interacted with at the theater. The girl at the front desk was lovely and our server was great. This is for the GM and corporate team. I understand things happen in this day and age but you MUST have a contingency plan. No AC in Texas is unacceptable. Not having a back up system if you have a cyber breach is also unacceptable. Your employees must be miserable working under those conditions. This place used to be a premium date night experience for us but I think the writing is on the wall and I don't see this place being open much longer. So have multiple GC we had gotten for Bdays and such. Can't use them on the website to purchase tickets so drove out to theatre and was then told can't use them there either for tickets OR food and drinks! I called them 3 different times after 4pm before i drove out there and no answer at all. That is just amazingly bad. To top it off was told they had been hacked a couple of months ago and can't get the problem fixed BUT they don't take cash and only credit cards! Not sure why anyone would trust them with your credit card info! I will not. No refunds on GCs are available by the way. Can't believe just how badly they have fallen off. I'm fairly certain there were few better ways to spend a rainy Valentine's Day than dipping into the IPIC to contribute to Wuthering Heights' 83M opening weekend box office sales! I've never been to an IPIC before but since it was Valentine's Day I was hoping to select a nice theatre and being new to the area I figured this would be a safe bet. I had come from brunch where I'd already had food and adult bevies so I knew I wouldn't be taking full advantage of the offerings. I'd booked two seats as my bff was supposed to be in town but unfortunately due to the weather, DFW felt the need to divert all planes for a couple of hours and bff landed in Austin. That would have been perf had I decided to run the Austin marathon but nope! I'd decided to stay in the Dallas area to have soufflés, watch movies and make candles. Needless to say, I took myself to my Valentine's dates and bestie later ubered to the theatre to meet me hours after planes could land at DFW again. I loved the little pod nooks that IPIC offers, they reminded me of pods on airlines. The blankets were a nice touch as well! I do think I can do without meal/drink service as I felt it was actually a distraction vs a nice touch due to the frequent delivery of plates and stopping by to ask if I needed anything, Very kind, but I'd rather not have so much movement during a movie at the theatre. Is it something I can get used to? Yes, probably! However I may be ok to hit another theatre if they have recliners and I can always bring my own throw if this is now a necessary accompaniment to a theatre visit. I may go this route once more when I haven't brunched before hand so I can see if the snack/light bite + adult bevvie action during the movie wins me over. I think I can really be down for something along these lines but pre order may be the way to go to minimize distractions. Great theatre and I rarely check prices on many things but I felt it was totally on par with what regular movie going prices are. I could be wrong as this is my first movie theatre experience since moving to the area. We noticed they also had billards which would be a lovely touch to add before hand. Fun spot! It's been bought as of I believe June 2026 or that's when we've noticed the changes and asked what's going on. They bring drinks in plastic cups No monthly food specials or drink specials any longer. Changed to only have beer and wine and soft drinks (no mixed drinks) food is not as good. Wait staff seems to have changed and takes longer to get food. Almost twice as long as before and order is more often wrong than right. Blanket was dirty. Wait staff talks loud during movie- I guess they all left and haven't been trained to talk softly. Asked for popcorn to be delivered about 10 minutes after our meal was delivered but it came before. Then we asked for drink refills but instead got more popcorn that was suppose to go to someone else. This place was so good but not any longer. read more

There is side beverage holder as well as a food tray. We are offered nice comfy blankies. There is a quiet bar and pool hall in the lounge so you can make a whole date night here. Just a super elevated experience. What should you know before booking: pods are in groups of two. It would be an challenge for a parent to bring two children. This theater has really gone downhill in the last few months. This weekend there was no air conditioning in the main check-in /bar area, sewer smell and a limited food and beverage menu. You had to flag down your server to place an order because their computers weren't working. There was still air conditioning in the theater itself. It just doesn't make sense. This place used to be awesome. I was slightly upset when premium seats didn't get free popcorn anymore, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. However my last visit to see The Odyssey was horrible and will be our last visit there, if I have anything to say about it. We asked for a blanket for our premium seats towards the rear and were told they now only provide blankets to those with a membership. They also had the theater as cold as possible; like colder than it has ever been. An obvious tactic to make you cold and entice you you sign up for membership just to stay warm; that's just shady in their part. My wife was using her and my napkin as a blanket the whole movie and even had to step out a couple times to warm up. Then our food took so long we finally had to buzz the server and ask what the hold up was as we had ordered almost an hour ago and before the movie even started. When it finally came, it was cold. So clearly they don't have enough food runners. To be clear I never bother the server with this question because I waited tables. For 15 years and no their hands are tied and they are dependent on the cooks and food runners. It's sad, because this place used to set the bar for theaters. I've come here a handful of times in the past couple years, the last two times have deteriorating returns. I am just blown away how much a place can decline. The food was not good, it didn't taste fresh at all. The staff didn't seem too enthusiastic. I don't know what happened to this place, it isn't like when I first came here back in 2024. It felt like the beginning of the end yesterday at IPIC Fairview. The POS system has been down for a few days now. The app is finally working to reserve tickets. We arrived early for a drink at the bar, and they had scaled back their drink menu to a few items and handed us a modified menu (basically, no gourmet options). Not to mention, the AC still is not operating properly in the main lobby; it's been months. Only 8 people in the Odyssey movie on a 1/2 off Wine Bottle night. The place was like a ghost town. Also could not get it to take my Venmo debit card. Took 20 plus mins to buy tickets. A bit long. No Apple pay in Theature so bring your wallet but the waitress was very nice about it. Let me start off by saying ipic used to be our whole families favorite movie theater, it's 6 of us adults altogether that chose ipic as our preferred movie theater. After this Labor Day weekend we will not be coming back. They have been riding the cyber attack wave for at least 2 months now but a cyber attack doesn't excuse terrible service. We went to see the Odyssey this Sunday got there early so we could order our food & drinks since we were starving. The server never came to our row but he definitely started serving everyone else that had just arrived. We waited a very long time and my husband had to go order our food from the bar & so did my brother who was sitting next to me with his wife. During the movie you could hear the server making excuses to every table talking about the cyber attack (dude it's been months already ) not sure how the cyber attack has affected the chefs ability to cook the same meals that were offered on the regular menu or how it allows a server to never come check on two tables when the movie theater wasn't even packed or how the lobby is all of a sudden HOT with no AC. At the end of the movie the server finally showed up to pick up our empty plates along with our food we had ordered my brother who was sitting next to us gave us their fries, the server asked if we had wings and fries we corrected him and said no pizza and wings. He came back and charged us for the fries too. I find it extremely disrespectful that he asked & chose to go against our word, it is not our fault that he wasn't on top of his tables from the very beginning. Why would we lie over a $11 app of fries when we come here at least once a week the past weekend we were just here for Spider-Man & it was worse. I'm going to need a manager to reach out for our refund since their multiple numbers haven't worked for the past 3 months. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time coming here. read more

On the 21st of July, I purchased a movie ticket. However, when I showed up, the electricity was out. I was guaranteed a refund but it never came despite my multiple calls, e-mails to the manager, smoke signals, etc. Each time I spoke with a representative over the phone, they promised that the issue would soon be addressed and my money refunded. No telling how much money the theater made that night, since countless movie watcher "wanna-be's" were in my same position. Now, they just went through a bankruptcy and their site has been down for days. I finally had to turn to my cc company to get my money back. We went and saw the Odyssey Sunday Sep 6th at 6pm. Our experience here was absolutely terrible. We come here multiple times throughout the year and only to be treated with the worst service. When we arrived to our theatre, we pressed our button and waited for a server to come but only to see the server tend to other guests that arrived much later than we did. We waited for 30 minutes until I had to get up and call another server to help us who then called for our server to assist us. When I returned back to our Seats, we noticed another couple behind who had just arrived to see that the server went directly to them first, take their drink order and then left. After that I was pretty aggravated once again since he couldn't at least take our drink order so I went to the bar to explain we still hadn't been attended to and they then took my entire order for 2 beverages , wings and pizza and popcorn (the popcorn never came out). When the meal came out we continued the movie but weren't checked on until much later in the movie. My brother in law and his wife sat next to us and they ordered fries for themselves but ended up giving us their fries since they couldn't finish them. When the server came to us for the first time it was to ask us if we had ordered fries and wings.. I said no we didn't order fries and corrected him stating we only had 1 order of wings, a pizza and 2 cokes and he then proceeded to add the fries to our ticket anyway and charged us for them. He never came to me with a receipt or asked me if everything looked okay on the bill instead he charged me and acted like everything was fine and never apologized for not taking down our order, for the wait, for the popcorn that never came out, or for me having to walk and give my order to the bar. Both my wife's and I families have been coming here for years and have never had this experience. I have tried calling multiple times to speak to a manager and have left messages and submitted a request for feedback on the app and still nothing. I really need a a manager to follow up with me as I was over charged by the server which is completely unacceptable. Heard tons of hype about this theatre so decided to treat ourselves by going to the odyssey here. Came in to the escalators and noticed it was quite warm but thought it was just the glass. At check in they informed us that the menu was limited and my boyfriend was bummed by that since we had been looking at the menu on the way there. We get to our seats and are pleased that at least the theatre was cool with AC. Pressed the button and our server came. We started off with a diet coke and mozzarella sticks. When it came a plate of fries was also placed down. We tried to press the button again to make sure they knew we didn't order it but no one came. We kept re pressing the button every 15 min or so trying to get someone's attention to order more food but no one came. Our server finally came back for last call and check. At this point we didn't want to be let down any more by the ordering and food service so we just let him know about the fries and he said he wouldn't charge. Our total came to $24 before tip which seemed pretty steep. After the movie my boyfriend tried to get an itemized receipt and he said their systems were down. Looking online i guess the prices for one soda and starter were right but my diet coke was never refilled. I wish they had put some type of warning or message about the limited menu before buying the tickets. It seems like getting any sort of refund is not possible according to other reviews. read more

Perfect for more intimate date nights with your special someone. You ride the elevator up to the reception desk where they ask you for the first name on the reservation & then direct you to your theatre (which is behind an open bar and recreation area). Once inside the theatre you see exactly what I mean by intimate, as there's more separation between seats along the top & sides of the theatre and the sides act as a barrier so you don't really see much except what's in front of you. The seats recline, the cup holders are built into the sides to make more room for what you order, and for the cherry on top each seat has a blanket to use at your discretion. When it comes to food and service IPic can do no wrong. My favorite to order has been the Loaded Fajitas Steak Fries. My man has had their impossible burger & their pepperoni pizza and both have looked (and tasted) really good. One thing you do need to beware of though is that the theatre will not let you in to your movie if you're 20 or more minutes past your reservation, so be on time. read more

My boyfriend and I love watching movies but our favourite theatre is definitely Ipic! It's spacious, seating is great, they give you blankets! (Us cold girlies know that one blanket isn't enough), and the food quality is definitely up there. The quality of the screen and surrounding sound makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, most of us a have a comfy home couch and flat screen tvs with good sound system, but this cinema just elevates your theatre experience. I like that they get the credit card stuff and order right away at the beginning of when you're in your seat and making sure you don't get interrupted while the move is playing. It makes it easier to just have the check dropped off when the movie is done so you don't even need to mess or fuss with it. Next, the quality of the movies we watch here is sooooo nice! We really enjoyed our date nights here! Besides that, the seats recline so that's really nice and for some reason, you feel it's more quiet. Something about the type of clientele you get and the way the seating is structured.. even kids were mostly well behaved whenever we went. Next, the silent button to call an attendant is great but what takes it to the next level is how great the service is. They brought me out the wrong salad and when I asked for an additional drink there was "something wrong with it" - which didn't surprise me because the initial can they did bring out was completely dented. First, I received the bill and noticed they charged me for both the correct salad and the incorrect salad. That was the first mistake I caught (you're in a dark theater, it's hard to catch mistakes on the receipt but I urge everyone to triple check the receipt for this reason). Once they gave me the revised receipt, I realized they charged me for the extra drink I ordered that they were not able to give me. The whole ordeal left us being the last people in the theater for at least 10 minutes after the movie ended. Please, please, please, triple check your receipt when you receive it. I've been a long time customer of the theater and have always been pleased with the service and atmosphere. I had never ordered food until my last visit in late May. Unfortunately the nachos were cold and the steak that I had them add on there was so chewy I could only spit out pockets of fat after trying to eat it. My granddaughters both ordered something as well and their food was not good either. One head some sort of steak dish, and being the meat eater that she is, and only 11 years old, even she wouldn't eat it. They did eat the pretzel bites which they enjoyed, as did we. We also enjoyed the popcorn. However, the total food bill, and no, we did not have any alcoholic drinks, it's over $200. $200. We tipped accordingly. We did not let the quality of the food cause us to tip poorly. The service is very good. And the wage staff is very personable and knowledgeable. I called 4 or 5 days later and spoke with someone at the Fairview location. We talked for probably 20 minutes, and she wanted to know all about our experience, what credit card we used to buy the tickets with, what credit card we used to pay for the food with, and so on and so forth. It was a very long call and I fully expected some resolution from it. I thought I would get maybe a gift card or something... However what she said then was she would pass it up the management chain. She told me someone will contact me in a few days. No one did of course. I called back 2 weeks later or so, and left a message stating that I had already given all of my information and a 20-minute phone call, and was expecting a phone call back. I did not say so, but as noted before I was expecting at least half of that 200 and some odd dollars back because the food was inedible. No one called me back that time either. We do love the theater, and we'll come back. But I will NOT and I urge you to not order anything beyond popcorn and perhaps pretzel bites. Anything you want to come out hot, like an entree or side, please note it won't. Also if you order anything with steak in it, it's just going to be blobs of fat. And of course if you ask for your money back, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET IT. I am disappointed in the customer service and that no one called me back after speaking with me for so long on my first phone call. I'm disappointed in the food. I am disappointed for them as well. They will never survive like this, and if I could make it possible for them to never have any food delivered to anyone again that would be awesome LOL. It's not worth the price. read more

Service was wonderful, seats in the theater are in pods (at least the one I was in) plus they give you a blanket, seats are comfy (a bit noisy/leather) but are amazing. I just say, tickets are pricey and you are charged a booking fee on top of your ticket (inside) price which is kind of ridiculous. Food is pricey, drinks are pricier! This is my favorite movie theater!! Truly unlike other dine in movie theaters. The seating feels private in small alcoves. And they have a blanket for you too which is nice because I'm always cold. Disappointed Longtime Customers @IPICTheaters @iPic @iPicTheatersAllen We've been loyal members and customers of IPIC Theaters in Allen, TX for 8+ years, going to movies at least 3 times a month -- always with dinner and drinks. We supported you every weekend during COVID and always raved about IPIC to our friends and family. But sadly, tonight marked our last visit. A year ago, the new bar manager told us buckets of beer were no longer allowed. Disappointing, but we respected the change. Then the buckets came back -- and we didn't question it. But now, on a Saturday night, the bar manager comes to our seats to tell us -- once again -- that buckets aren't allowed, citing a new rule (not a state law). We challenged him, politely, and were told this is just how it is now. The same "rule" he tried to enforce a year ago. We hadn't even opened our tab fully -- the movie hadn't started -- but the bar manager refused to refund us without a GM present. Really? So we walked out. We'll dispute the charge with our credit card company. We were embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly -- heartbroken. We've been the definition of loyal guests. Ever since the last GM left, it's been one issue after another. The experience, the service, the spirit of hospitality -- all gone. We've had enough. To our amazing server: it wasn't your fault.
