First time to the theater. We went to an XD movie. We sat in the back row. The music is so loud and intense, it ruined the experience. We didn't know better. Also, if you get a refill of popcorn, you need to wait in the full long concession line, which stinks when you're in the middle of a movie. Otherwise, it was a beautiful theater. Some wear and tear. Lots of concession choices. There's a full bar, but no one was ever there to take an order, so we just skipped it. read more

Lots of movies, times, and comfortable reclining seats. I've seen cleaner theaters but I can imagine it's hard to keep up with. Military and senior discounts, full bar, lots of sweet snacks to choose from as well as popcorn and savory items. My kids are partial to the dip'n dots. We visit this theater when we are staying across the street in the Montage Mountain hotel during our family travels through the area. read more

The recent reviews below are a bit odd. You can buy your ticket and walk in with minimal to no effort, especially if you buy your ticket online and show it to the person at the stand. Nobody is holding you back from the movie. Gripes about ads shouldn't have any reflection on the theater. Theater itself is large enough comparatively speaking to Regal or others. The auditoriums are pretty large too and have a lot of space in between rows. The seats are a little big if you don't recline back, I don't typically do that so at times it might be uncomfortable for me. Not the theater's fault, it's mine. I don't buy concessions because the prices are way too high, but for $8.50 you can get a matinee ticket which is better than good enough. People seem friendly inside but I don't really interact with them, as I purchase online, walk in, show my QC code, and enjoy my film. Overall I'll continue to watch movies here and usually go across the street to Akita for sushi. read more

Used to be a good movie theater with food options but is has gone downhill. For a short stint they were providing piazza hut pizzas, but they no longer do after my past 3 visits. My favorite theater! LOVE the reclining, comfortable, spacious seating. The prices are very competitive as far as other theaters. I've been to more expensive theaters that don't have this kind of seating, so this is my go to when in the area. I highly recommend, that if you are an avid moviegoer, that you join the movie club that they offer. It's $8.99 a month and you get one free ticket and 20% off concessions. You also get additional add-on tickets for $8.99 each (3D and XD are still a couple extra dollars). I downloaded the app and I choose our movie and our seats before we get there and you don't have to wait in line OR pay online ticket fees (if you are a member). We get great seats to all the major movies. It's WELL worth it and a great deal! read more

Came here to see a movie that wasn't showing in our local theater due to a limited release. The size of this place is extremely impressive starting with the huge parking lot. Prices for a matinee were very reasonable. Lobby area was very large with our ticket taken before you enter the concession area. The arcade in the lobby was big for a theater with several modern popular machines. Snack bar was huge and per Movie Theater food was vastly overpriced. They also have a cafe area where non snack food is served. The hallways were nicely decorated, like we were walking to an old theater. There were plenty of bathrooms both right outside the lobby and another set for the far theaters. Our theater was large with reclining stadium seating; there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Compared to our local theater the stadium seating was steeper with better views. Excellent theater which was impressive. Great place to see a movie, just wouldn't buy any snacks. One area they could improve on is posting times earlier in the week; otherwise we would have driven to Allentown for our movie. read more

Probably the nicest theater in the area, but can't say for sure because I haven't been to every single one. It's very large and clean. I love the feeling of walking into a giant theater to watch an epic movie on the big screen. It really has a sense of grandeur to it. The prices are fair IMO, snacks are expensive like most theaters but the tickets aren't bad. The location is nice because it is easy to get to right off the highway and there are many other nice shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. read more

This NEEDS to be your movie theater. First off, $5 Tuesday is fantastic. Your movie price is cut in half, and it applies to all movies. Popcorn was fresh, lots of soda options (coke products), and all the staff was friendly. The theaters ive been in have always been clean, and so are all the walkways. There's traditional concessions but you can also go to a fancier food place inside the theater. I didn't see what they had their though. All theaters have luxury seating, with the electric fold out chairs. Only complaint was mine made a super loud noise when I opened it up, but no one else had that problem. So for months and months they stopped buttering the popcorn, self serve but only after it's full(no layering) (suggested I use a straw to get the butter below the 1st inch of popcorn.then they reduced size of popcorn to only junior or large. I would put a 2 and a half star, but my phone doesn't do half stars. THE GOOD: The seats are comfortable and not ripped where I normally sit (handicapped section). They're the leather luxury lounge chairs... blah, blah blah. Popcorn and soda prices are average. The carriers they have are decent enough. There are lots of garbage cans and bathrooms. The staff are normally decent people and respond well to me and the man I go with. The screen sizes are good, and there's not a bad seat in the house if you're a normal sized adult. THE BAD: The handicapped seats are often sold to non handicapped people during popular movies. My fiancé and I were given handicapped seats (the ones with the wheelchair spaces) during an event. They insisted it was fine when we went back to change the seats. There has been times that the man that I go with to the theaters, who cannot get out of his chair, have been turned away due to no seats being available. It just makes me wonder if they were given to perfectly able people. I often find food in the seat cushions when I go to sit on them. It just makes me wonder if they clean the seats after people have just sat on them during the entire pandemic while they were open. They're understaffed at times, and I've stood in lines for up to 20 minutes before a movie. Handicapped parking doesn't have enough van accessible parking spots. Depending on where you sit with smaller children (6 and under), they may not be able to see the entire screen. Some of the theaters have higher guard walls (I guess that's what they're called), and my daughter couldn't see the bottom third of the screen. Luckily, it wasn't busy that day, and we just moved seats. The staff does not inform you of this when you sit slightly higher (or lower). Overall, the place is average. If it wasn't for the gimmick chairs, they would be nothing special about it. It's about as average as they come. For children and people who have a handicap, it's hit and miss. read more

Cinemark is my favorite movie theater in the Scranton area! This theater has large reclining seats that give you plenty of room. They are very comfortable and you won't feel like you are sitting on top of the person next to you, like in other theaters. You have to reserve a seat when you buy your ticket, so I suggest getting there a little early to make sure you get good seats. You can also order your tickets and reserve a seat online prior to arrival. Tickets are well priced and comparable to other theaters in the area. The concession snacks are expensive, but this is the case with every theater I have ever been to. After going to Cinemark, I can't go back to other theaters in the area that are closer to me. I would rather drive the extra miles for the extraordinary viewing experience here. I highly recommend trying it out for your next movie, you won't be disappointed. read more

Welp I guess I have to resort to this, going on their page to complain, again and again I goto the movies on a Saturday night and boom the cafe is closed, all I can get for dinner is a hot dog, I go so often I am a platinum member , multiple years now and all I ask is if I goto the movies and pay luxury prices, I am able to partake of the options, I can even understand not having the café open on a weekday, but as soon as it hits Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it should be open. Knowing the fact they said they were understaffed yet there was over 10 people working behind the regular concession stand, some of them were just standing around, not even doing anything, and then we go into the theater and I see five people cleaning it, and there was still popcorn all over the floor, I have sent repeated emails, asking them to fix this issue or give me a reasonable explanation as to why they can't cross train employees to run the café, but nobody has gotten back to me. I work 70 hours a week, and my only time off is to take my family to the movies and get dinner, and this has been a huge let down. DIRTY, FILTHY & DISGUSTING So, let me start by saying that i used to love this place. BUT now it has gone to crap... Owners, or at least the management needs to seriously step up up their game... Take some pride in the place and get your staff to CLEAN, because you're not the only one in driving distance anymore!! Okay, so they upgraded the seating to these new reclining seats. They started charging more for tickets and you are forced to decide, right then and there, where you want to sit with everyone else standing behind you waiting.. The price of the food/snacks is outrageous. I get it, that's how they make their money, not off of the ticket sales because majority of that goes back to the movie production companies. But come on, $8 for popcorn? Take your time..... Whatever time they have listed for the start of the movie, you have about 25-30mins maybe a bit less than that before it actually starts. They want to make sure they get in as many paid adds and previews as possible anymore. TIP- check the end time and deduct that from the length of the movie, then you'll see when it will actually start playing... so don't rush your dinner date, you have to pick your seat anyway.. haha However,,, my absolute biggest complaint of Cinemark is that that place is disgustingly filthy!! A majority of the time I have been to Cinemark in in the morning/early afternoon hours. You think that they would have employees cleaning after closing hours... Or just need new cleaning people! The floors: As soon as you walk in, you can feel your feet sticking to the floor. The carpeting in the hallways has major staining, especially near the kitchen and all bathrooms. The arcade:. I have small children, if we get there too early it would be nice to go in there and entertain the kids... I would never let them touch anything in there. I am not a germaphobe but you can actually see the grime on the games, dirty, dark stains on all the hand held areas.. And lets not get started on all the games that are broken, or taken out of order... Bathrooms: For the love of god, don't touch anything in there. The sound of your shoes sticking to the floor should be your first sign to hold it till you leave. Of course I have only personally been in the men's bathroom but my 15yr old daughter will not go to the bathroom there, she waits until we get home or to a restaurant after. The men's rooms..... I have been in many public restrooms, including subway stations in NYC,,, and these are by far so much worse than any I have ever seen. I don't think the urinals have ever been cleaned. Just cause you put scented urinal cakes in them, doesn't make them clean. If you must use one, HOLD YOUR BREATH! Theaters: So, now that they upgraded all of the seats and carpets..... With everything i have listed above, how clean do you think those seats are? Just let that sink in when you feel you bare skin stick to the "faux leather" reclining chairs.. Now that I pointed all this out, you will start to notice for yourself how disgusting it is in there.... Maybe that's why the keep the lighting so low? This is one of my favorite theaters, it has the reclining seats which are nice but don't go back far enough for me anyways. The arm rests in the center do come up, but I don't think they've cleaned in there...ever. The staff is always nice and the facility and usually very clean. It can get a little crowded on the weekends but that is expected. The food here is pretty decent, not terribly expensive. The do have a starbucks coffee inside which is nice if you are seeing a late movie. They do have weekly specials for movies, we saw 3 movies one Tuesday for less then 20$ a person, which isn't too bad. read more

I've been to this place a few times while visiting family in Pennsylvania. I can honestly say this is one of the coolest theaters I have ever been to. There is a full bar inside, as well as a Starbucks which is nice. Everything is super clean, the theaters are nice and spread out so its not overcrowded. And the SEATS! They're amazing. They recline and are some of the most comfortable seats that I have ever sat in a movie theater. I am very excited that a new Cinemark will be opening by me soon read more

I'd give this place a 1 star but I feel like I must. Saw the new Spider-Man and haven't been to the theatres in almost 2 years thanks to Covid. I was very much looking forward to a raspberry iced tea and a grilled cheese and French fries and a night out with my friends. First I was greeted with an insane amount of money just to see the movie. Maybe we gotta work on our prices? Next I was informed that they were out of raspberry iced tea, so now I'm really ticked off. To top it all off, they had the foot part and the Starbucks closed. While on our yearly Christmas vacation visiting it also was when Star Wars, The Force Awakens was on so we decided to come and watch it in 3D XD. This theatre was clean and modern with stadium seating. The 3D was amazing but the XD audio was amazing. The staff especially the gentlemen taking out tickets was extremely friendly and nice. Plenty of parking and easy to get to and well worth the $13.95 for 3D/XD. Highly recommend this theatre to enjoy a nice movie or two. read more
