But there's probably a half a dozen pizza places in the area all with pretty decent pizza, that consistently answer their phone and deliver faster, despite being farther away. One of the suggestions I got was to enjoy the walkway --- which is an elevated path along the side of the ol' steel factory. It's odd to walk by a factory that in its glory days had 100's of workers, to now being visited by tourist in a solace stroll. In any case, it's always great to see the birthing place of the steel that has given us so many iconic US landmarks, i.e., like the Chrysler Building and the Golden Gate Bridge. Did it burn down or something? Besides the huge Pavilion with a giant Dancefloor/Ballroom on the second floor, it had a beach, swimming, boat rentals, fast food and lots more! But mostly I remember the Music... from the Good Old Days! Couples and groups would come from all over the East Coast, dressed to the 'nines', in tuxedos and the finest ballrom dresses. The second floor Ballroom would be packed! And the Music... The Dorseys, Glenn Miller, Brubeck, Stan Kenton, and all of the Big Bands of those Days! Later, R&R, Country, Pops and a lot more!
