I have been to this movie theater with my wife (and sometimes as a family) on multiple occasions. I have always been impressed with the overall cleanliness (theater itself, bathrooms, etc). The service is good, the popcorn is delicious, and the movies are enjoyable. I am glad Denton has a larger theater that keeps the latest movies coming. This is my top theater pick in this town. read more

My wife and I watched the Edge of Tomorrow this last Sunday. The popcorn was poor, the staff appeared too busy to layer the butter on popcorn, and was inconvenienced when I asked for a tray for the large popcorn and two Coke ICEEs $17.00--"no refills on anything", they told me. The popcorn crumbled to little pieces while watching the movie, so we were only able to eat a quarter of it and just threw the rest away. The projector screen was poor (the projector was oversized on the screen which cut the top and the bottom of the screen off. There were several scene in which they were re-enacting a news station broadcast and the viewer could not see the names on the bottom or top of the screen. That is one thing a theater should never mess up. Everything could be in total chaos all around me, but please do not screw the "THEATER" screen up. Lackluster experience. They did not dim the lights during the previews.The concession lines where too long, and other lines moved faster than others, of course, I get in the slow line. So, people that arrive to the concession well later than you, left well before you did with their treats. Why don't they snake and/or funnel the line like they do at the ticket line in some theaters? Also, the theater seating is lopsided, 75% of the seats are to the left of the screen. So, there is a lot of left justified viewing for audience. Some of staff was friendly, and theater did appear to be clean. I will avoid this theater, if possible, in the future. read more

Typical Cinemark except that on Thursday's movies are cheap for students so that's pretty awesome. Just bring your student ID. That's all I can really say about the place, movie theaters such as these are pretty much the same. read more

Nice place. The theater was cold, but that is why I always have a beach towel. We did not get any refreahmenta but the popcorm smelt great.

This it is a great place to go to three movies! The only drawback is it is not a dinner theater! I've gotten spoiled at Studio Movie Grill!

fantastic theater! the theater is generally clean with the exception of a couple dirty cup holders, bathrooms are clean, staff is friendly. I highly recommend getting your tickets ahead of time since this Theater is reserved seating only. if you show up too late your neck will be sore after the movie. If you have a college student ID, on Thursdays you can take advantage of their $4.87 movie tickets! my girlfriend and I come here nearly every Thursday because of this. again, amazing theater! read more

This is my favorite movie theater in the Denton area! They always have a good selections of movies (which isn't the case with other movie theaters in the area) their prices are good and the theater is always clean! Cinemark theaters are usually my favorite in any area I live (although I have been known to frequent an AMC or two) and this one isn't an exception! read more

Not a bad Cinemark, it just needs to be upgraded. The lobby was clean and the service was fast. It does not have the reclining chairs or reserved seating like some of the other Cinemark's have. It also doesn't have the upgraded screens and audio set up that newer Cinemark's have like XD. Very reasonably priced movie tickets though. read more

Close by and there aren't many theatres in Denton to choose from. I've been to three movies in three months here and have had no problems. Typical concession fare and I've never hit a long line. The seats are so-so. They recline a little but don't compare to the latest recliners with foot rests in newer theatres these days. I asked about the policy on infants in theatres and was told they ask the patron to go into the lobby if someone complains, which I really didn't want to do even though it was a Saturday night and we weren't watching a kids movie. Basically the same policy in other theatres so not an issue with this particular location. Overall a four star location. read more

This is a nice theater, no doubt. The chairs are super comfy. Everything seems clean and taken care of. It is a little too expensive, in my opinion and the previews are extremely loud. Other than that, it gets 2 thumbs up. read more

The staff are actually friendly at this movie theatre and I was shocked. I am usually rushed out of the way after ordering my tickets or popcorn and drink. The guy actually asked me what I was seeing and commented that it was a good movie. Then when we got into the room our movie was in it was very clean and the seats were super comfy. I say that's a winning trip to the movie theatre because in my home town the theatre is not nearly as nice as this one. Oh I almost forgot the bathroom was spotless when I went in there and it was a high traffic area but still kept nice and clean. read more

Very nice theater. There is a nice selection of movies from which to choose and the theater is clean. I do have a 'beef' however, and it is in regard to the concession. The theater is offering a small plastic bucket of pop corn for $7.50. Customers, like me, assume this offer is similar to buckets offered at other theaters, where you buy the bucket, initially, and then upon each visit to the theater, you pay $4.00 for popcorn with as many additional refills as desired without additional payment. So, today, my wife and I consume the first bucket of popcorn and I go to the concession for a refill. When the tub was handed to me, the cashier asked me for $3.50. I was astounded. A discussion ensued which reiterated the fact that each time the bucket was to be filled would be $3.50. Now, here is what doesn't make sense. You can buy a LARGE paper bucket of popcorn (twice as large as the plastic bucket) for $7.90 and return it one time for an additional complimentary refill. This just doesn't make sense. If I return to the theater on another visit, I can bring my small plastic bucket and pay $3.50 for it to be filled. If I eat it and then refill it again, I'll have to pay $3.50 for a total of $7.00 I've gotten half as much popcorn for what I paid compared to FOUR times the amount of popcorn I would have gotten if I had purchased the large paper tub and returned it one time for the complimentary refill. Now, someone set me straight. Does this theater really think they are offering their customers a bargain, offering the small bucket for $7:50 with $3.50 refills? read more

Most of the games in the arcade don't work. Filthy entrance, snack bar severely understaffed. I really hated picking seats before I go in.

I spent $16.50 on concessions only to be told midway through the Hobbit that they would not refill my large drink. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I think that if you're going to drop most of a Jackson on snacks, the least they can do is refill your sweet tea. I'm not saying I won't be back, but I AM saying that I won't be back to the concession stand. My girlfriend can carry a big purse. read more

Went earlier today to see The Gift, and since it was opening week, wasn't surprised it was sold out. However, we decided to buy our tickets in advance to watch the last showing in hopes to have good seats. Yet, much to my dismay, the theater they were showing this new film was at the last and smallest theater they had to offer. We had shown up 30 minutes early and the theater was so packed the only seats left were handicapped. We had decided to sit in them since we didn't have much of a choice and soon an officer asked us to give the seats up for an elderly couple (which I didn't mind but was upset since the theater still sold tickets even though it was way past capacity.) By then there were no seats left so for a second time, we had to leave the theater. We got our money back, however this theater is not getting my business back. I am not coming back to a theater that sells tickets to an already packed showing on a Saturday just to have my time wasted again. read more
