Never been to Paris before, but I doubt Paris Cinema looks like Paris. It looks just like most other movie theatres from the inside. It houses 4 screens with plush seats and has double armrests. I like having double armrests.
What is special about Paris Cinema is that Hoyts group has built an entire theatre for just fine art films from around the world. You can watch the best foreign films (No need to know the various languages as subtitles are of course included) from travelling international film festivals.
I was invited to watch 13 Assassins a Japanese samurai film based on a true story. Having learnt a bit of Japanese I thought it would be easy to follow the movie. Thank God, for subtitles! If you are learning a foreign film, I highly recommend visiting Paris Cinema and watching a flick to learn more about the culture and art of that region.
Cinema Paris is also host to Sydney's premier film festival.
Parking is free for the first 2 hours everyday before 6 pm, but you can get your parking ticket validated at the movie counter for a general all day ticket as there's more to do and see at Entertainment Quarters (or EQ as its more popularly known.) read more
