When he returned with his colleague, Billy, to install the shades, they did an amazing job. The owner took the lamp in back to look at and repair, in less than 5 minutes he brought it back ready-to-go; however, he charged her $25 plus tax. When she questioned him if why such a basic job cost so much he had no answer. He never gave her a quote, he just fixed it and charged an inflated rate. Most reputable repair stores would have tightened it for free, or charged a small service fee. There are plenty of family-run reputable electrical repair shops in the area, go anywhere but here!
