I'm very disappointed with my experience at Ambience Nails. I paid $80 for my nails, and within…read more10-13 days, five of them had completely snapped/broken in half. These were not nails that were simply lifting or naturally wearing down -- they actually broke in half. I reached out to the salon hoping they would acknowledge that having five nails break this quickly is not a reasonable result for a professional nail service. I understood that their standard repair policy is 7 days, but I specifically asked them to make an exception because of the extent of the issue. I was also very reasonable about what I was asking for. I did not ask them to redo my entire set or give me another full set. I asked them to simply repair/replace the five nails that had broken, at no charge, because they failed so shortly after I paid for the service. Their response was that they would still be happy to repair the nails -- at $5 per nail. So after already paying $80 for a service where five nails broke within roughly two weeks, I was being asked to pay an additional $25 to repair the nails that had failed??? I then explained again that I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable and that I was simply asking them to stand behind a service that did not hold up. Unfortunately, my concern was not addressed in the way I had hoped. What makes this especially frustrating is that I have been a customer of the salon for a while and have spent a significant amount of money there. I reached out directly first because I genuinely wanted to resolve the situation with the salon rather than immediately leave a negative review. I understand businesses have policies, but I also believe there should be some consideration when five nails break in half within approximately two weeks of an $80 service. A policy shouldn't automatically end the conversation when there is a legitimate quality concern. Unfortunately, based on both the durability of the service and the way my concern was handled, I would not recommend Ambience Nails. I gave the salon an opportunity to make this right before writing this review, and I was disappointed with the resolution offered.
