This place is really great for coffee. Probably the best we had in the area, stretching from Silverton to Ouray. It was busy when we walked in, with a slight line. There were two staff helping and making all the drinks, and they went pretty fast! Our drinks were really good. The coffee wasn't bitter or burnt, and we could taste the flavor of their homemade syrup. I'd definitely come back to try other combinations. read more

Coffee was great but Young barista gal was very rude. I asked for an iced coffee and she rolled her eyes and said they didn't have that before finally offering an alternative. I also asked for a carrier and she kind of flung across the counter at me. Not sure what her issue was but needless to say needs to improve on her customer interaction read more

Absolutely delicious coffee! I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk. Some of the syrups are made in house, which, in my opinion, is key for a top tier local coffee shop. The service was prompt and friendly, and the patio views were incredible! read more

My husband and I stopped by earlier this week for coffee and some food. My coffee, for being a white chocolate mocha, was on the bitter side. My husband's coffee was on the bitter side too. We both got some glazed donuts to pair with the coffee and the donuts were yummy. The two women who were working that morning were super friendly and talked to us for quite a bit while they prepared our order which was sweet of them. read more

This place not only serves great coffee but wonderful pastries as well. Try the French Toast muffin! The staff are all friendly and helpful. We stop in every time we are in town. read more

Wonderful service and good black coffee. Didn't try any food or fancier drinks as we were just stopping quick.

Iced americano and donut hit the spotttttt!!! The staff was soooo friendly and the inside was so cozy. If I had more time I would've sat down and enjoyed my coffee with a book! read more

They are great people with great coffee. Buy their beans and take them home. We have a home expresso machine. Their beans are perfect and make great coffee. read more

Cute little spot right downtown! We got lattes and muffins. They were delicious. We were on our way out of town but browsed through the books and cute decor while we waited for our lattes. Would definitely come back. There's even patio seating if it's nice out. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was pretty busy even on a Monday morning so pack your patience but like I said so many things to browse and look at in the meantime read more

Loved this place. Stopped by on my way to the mountains and worked there for a few hours. Friendly staff, good wi-fi, great vibe all around.

Just looking for a place to have a great mocha coffee, relax, and read a good book THIS is it. We sometimes just get too busy to stop & smell the coffee beans. Staff will let you alone while you search for a book, but if you need anything they are right there to help out. You can even bring your own book, buy a cup of coffee and relax outside or walk over to the park across the street. Large area near to park a RV while you check this place out. read more

I ordered a 6 oz latte and it was not steamed properly whatsoever. I am a bit of a coffee snob but this was just not very good at all. Had to add sugar as well because it was so bitter. read more

Asked for an extra hot 20 oz latte with light foam. Was not hot and tons of foam. Was like she ignored my request.

The cutest little coffee shop in this sleepy mountain town. Our lattes were outstanding and there's a little book shop attached. The books are all super relevant to what's trending right now and included something for everyone. The staff were super friendly as well! read more

Wonderful coffee, kind and friendly service, and a great location. Parking was easy, service was fast - a nice early morning stop.

Their matcha latte is super delicious! They also have milk alternatives which is a must for me. I've had their French Toast muffin which was tasty and wonderfully baked. Their breakfast burritos are also good, but they do sell out of those! They have such a cute place with a section of books for sale. I enjoy coming here! read more

Coming down from the mountain? Going up? Stop here. The coffee is awesome and you can get an amazing breakfast burrito. There is a mini bookstore and it is a pretty ok place to take calls as well. read more

The attitudes of the 2 workers. Customer service sucks. Charge $31.00 for 2 burritos and 2 coffees. My husband's cold brew tasted funny (to me too) and I asked if he could get a drip coffee with ice instead. They made me go to the back of the line (7 people) and then wanted to charge for his remake. She said, well you ordered it!...Really! We've never been here before and how were we to know. One of the locals came outside while we were eating and apologized for the worker's attitudes and customer service. She said it's not usually like that. I told her we won't be back. Sad, because it's a cute place. read more

Our go to coffee shop when visiting Ouray! Cute location, staff was friendly, and drinks were tasty. Convenient location, and they even have breakfast burritos if you have an early morning and need to grab something quick to eat. read more

Pretty much everything you could look for in a coffee shop. Good drinks made quickly, friendly, a nice interior with the mini bookstore setup, a nice patio outside that gets lots of morning sun. Bonus: the scone was better than most. read more

Incredible coffee and service! The view and ambiance here is nice and relaxed. The staff were all super friendly and they also served breakfast burritos. This is the best coffee I've had in a while. If I lived close I'd be there every day. read more

Great coffee, locally roasted in Montrose. Despite there being a really long wait, the only barista in here handled professionally and was not flustered. A group came in and ordered 4 large pots of coffee on the spot. I think that it was through everything off instead of there not being a policy to order it ahead of time. For this location, drip coffee is the way to go or the nitro cold brew. The breakfast burritos are pretty good too! read more

The barista was really rude to me and my husband, not a fan of their customer service at all. She rolled her eyes and scowled every time a customer walked in. They also don't have any iced coffee cups or lids, so we were driving with an iced coffee in a hot cup with no lid. This place needs some new management. Will not be back read more

Unbelievable coffee that is worth stopping by whether in town or on the way to telluride. We got it both mornings on our weekend trip, still thinking about it honestly. read more

Our drinks were made fast, and the menu was easy and not overwhelming. There was a sweet older lady trying to make friendly conversation with the barista and he was not all that kind. He made it clear he wanted to leave for the day. When the other female barista came in to take over, she lit the room up and was kind! The espresso is incredibly smooth. read more

Cimarron Coffee Roasters - a hand holding a cup of coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ridgway, Colorado

Great little coffee shop right off of the main road through Ridgeway. Quaint and cozy inside with lots of space. Prices are very reasonable. My latte was excellent as was my muffin. I'll stop by next time I'm passing through again. read more

Got a cute decomposition notebook and an oat milk latte. Classic. Forgot to say iced but it slapped so I have no regrets. The one lady working there seemed to be managing that 7 am flow of decaffeinated campers and locals while maintaining the wholesome vibe you'd expect from a place that also sells books. read more

Just went into this coffee shop. Ridgeway is such a groovy little town. The gentleman in front of me ordering was being very difficult and the girl behind the counter with the curly hair wasn't really speaking much at all. I figured the guy upset her. When I got to the counter to order, I tried to be very friendly to try to make her feel better, I placed my order which she did hear and she says "huh"? Somewhat forcefully. Trying to be funny I said I will have a regular latte with regular coffee and regular milk and she said "well that's special "the attitude was very disappointing and quite shocking. As there are signs in the coffee shop talking about the place being a place of tolerance, etc. I didn't feel very welcome at all. Unfortunately. read more

Its a quaint little gem and the coffee is amazing. Bonus , they have a cute little book store , so a win for all. Highly recommended if you are staying in the area. read more

We did some kayaking at the state park and then headed over. Great dog friendly patio with shade. Service was friendly and our pups even got a little treat (I seriously have created monsters with treat cups at coffee shops!). Full disclosure: First, I'm not a coffee drinker. Second, my brother Eric owns this shop and the roastery in Montrose. I finally had a chance to visit recently and wanted to share my thoughts to encourage others to check it out. While I don't go in for the bean-fuel (I'm hyper enough without additives), I enjoy coffee houses for reading and writing and chilling when there's a space I like. As far as coffee houses go, this one is the perfect size for one who likes comfort and quiet in a space that isn't totally disconnected from the world. Enough room for small crowds to get their coffee on but still cozy. I love how the seating is away from the buying area--with a cute bookstore nook between--so when you want to sit in peace, you can do so even when the front is busy. It's also conveniently located on the main drag. As for the coffee, I can only tell you what every coffee friend I've bought gift coffee for (and my family of deeply committed imbibers) has told me: IT'S EXCELLENT! (Their emphasis, I swear). And since his coffee has won high praise from CoffeeReview.com, it would seem experts are starting to agree. The store sells the coffee by the bag, too. As a fringe non-beaner, I was pleased to see some varied offerings that included tea, organic juices, and San Pelligrino. There are also pastries that looked yummy. If you're not into coffee or tea or even coffee houses, then you can find a new read at bookstore that's attached--David Sedaris caught my eye, and a nice section of cookbooks, so the selection is varied. Or stay and check out the local art the walls showcase. No matter your taste, it's worth a stop. read more

Fantastic little coffee shop. We always stop here when passing through. Pastries are good too. This time I got the coffee special and it was so good that I came back for another one. Staff is friendly and serves delicious coffee with a smile. read more

Every mountain town needs at least one great coffee shop and Cimarron fits the bill for Ridgeway. Great coffee is only part of the experience as the staff here is friendly and engaging. I watched with much admiration as the staff dealt with an influx of Ride the Rockies riders this June. The Ride the Rockies organizers dropped the ball with the caterer (they stopped showing up to feed us) they had hired for the event. This meant that each town we visited was over run with grumpy cyclist looking for their daily caffeine fix and a morning pastry to fuel their rides. The staff at Cimarron rose to the challenge. Well done! read more

Stopped here on a chilly day after lunch and thrifting. The girl working was super nice. The inside is currently closed so we ordered through the window. Hot chocolate was good, coffee was good, and the chai was excellent! Some of the best I've had. Wish I would have gotten the larger size. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the area. read more

I used to go here all the time but it's gone down hill the last year or two. Not to mention the staff acts like you're an inconvenience. I've tried it about once a month hoping it would be good but the espresso tastes burnt, and some how even my child didn't like the smoothies! Zero stars if possible. read more

Outdoor pickup only during COVID. Wear your mask of course. There was a short line but service was very prompt at 9 AM. My Mocha 1/2 sweet could not have been any better. Will go back next time thru. read more

Friendly service and great coffee! Seating area is comfortable and clean. Great card and book options for sale too!

As a previous business owner and working in customer service for over 18 years I have to give this place 2 stars. The barista was a total Asshole. Not sure if she was having a bad day but my only recommendation is maybe smile and not be a dick to customers who AREN'T miserable. I did leave a tip in hopes maybe she'd be nice afterwards. I requested a small amount of syrup in my drink for my child because too much sugar doesn't work well with kids on road trips (parents get it). I have stopped in this place every single time I come through town, and I will not be stopping here again. read more

This little shop in Ridgway is a perfect spot for a nice coffee and sit-down. Wifey loved their cappuccinos and I enjoyed the espresso very much! We were in town for the week and made sure to get down to Cimarron every morning and even most afternoons. Every one of the servers was sweet and polite which made for a delightful experience each visit. Keep up the good work, folks, we'll see you next time we're down this way! read more
