When we got our house, 17 years ago, my ever-helpful mother told us we should get an interior designer. Of course, we didn't listen (and we had just given the bank all of our money). So we then went through 7 or so years of mediocre color, furniture, and design decisions. We had been looking for a new couch for more than a year when Cillesa came into our lives.
She won us over by suggesting a new layout for our living room that instantly, dramatically improved the flow. Then she showed us 3 potential couches, all of which were utterly perfect. We had to redo a big chunk of our kitchen because of a wall oven we couldn't replace, and Cillesa guided us through the whole process with ease--she recommended an awesome contractor (and managed him), helped us select tile, and worked with the countertop guys to save us money by putting the seams in just the right places.
We don't do anything without her. We've put in new hardwood floors, expanded our back deck, and painted inside and out.
Most recently, she overhauled our garage / driveway area. Because she knows how things are built, we got to widen our garage door opening. Gone are the giant wooden door and dry-rotting side walls. In are a glass panel door and snazzy stainless railings. Hooray!!!
I like that Cillesa always thinks ahead. Even though our kitchen change was cosmetic, she showed us sketches of how we could rework the whole floor and open up our skinny galley kitchen. Drool. We're going to do it; it's just a matter of timing.
Every single contractor she has sent our way has been communicative, reliable, and top-notch.
