Cilantros steak tacos are sooooo good! We order take out from here a lot and have never had a bad meal. The food always arrives fresh and warm, tacos are small so they're a good portion size 2-3 plus rice and beans. The desserts are also really good specially flan and churros. read more

Place is hidden in Bloomingdale, and since Mariano's is closed not much foot traffic. Had the steak tacos with onions and cilantro. The steak was seasoned and the tortilla was cook a bit with the meat. Overall the place is small tacos are a solid three with their salsas green, red, and guacamole. The chips and salsa is a great start while you wait for your food. read more

$15 for a burrito with rice and beans on the side. Ok not bad very average prices... BUT my burrito was 80% tortilla with basically nothing in it (see photo) very little meat, cheese, fillings, etc. The carnitas were very crunchy and burnt little strings (think beef jerky??) The bottom of the burrito was a soggy grease mess. Rice was bland, beans were ok. My husbands steak burrito was ever so slightly a better mess. We won't be back but I guess in a pinch it would be ok, hence the 2 stars read more

Good, authentic Mexican food. I'm Surprised it doesn't have more stars. I had a steak torta, steak was cooked well and chopped. My husband tried a variety of tacos, all were very good. Great hot sauces at the table as well. Will definitely be back. Bonus: it is family owned. read more

I ordered veggie tacos here, taste was average. Got the job done. Service was good, staff was kind. Ambiance could have been better. Salsas here we're super yummy! We also got a speciality drink which was probably a 3/10, they need to step it up with their drinks! read more

I been here a couple times and the food is missing something. It's not great like it used to be. The flavor of all the meats is bland and it's missing a lot of seasoning. The service is great as always great attitude and smiles. The salsas are good and the horchata is good. I hope they season up the meat and it will be great. read more

I was my fiancés ride along for work today and we stopped in here for a quick lunch. This place is super clean and very FAST. He ordered his standard go to, carne asada tacos and I had the carne asada burrito that came with lettuce, tomato, guac rice and beans. I don't think I was sitting for 10 mins and our food was ready. Everything was so delicious and the hibiscus agua fresca,.....chefs kiss. I really enjoyed all the protein options as well! Both of our orders came to a total of 31.00. Kinda pricey but the portions were great and the staff were very kind 10/10 would recommend. If you're in the Illinois area, give these guys a go! read more

I recently tried the veggie burrito bowl from Cilantro, and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. The bowl was bland, lacking any real flavor or seasoning. There were no sautéed vegetables on the veggie bowl just lettuce and tomatoes, and the portion size was way too small for the price. The rice was dry, and the beans tasted like they came straight from a can. Overall, it felt like no care went into making the dish, and it left me unsatisfied and frustrated. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. I paid $12.50 and for less money I could go to chipotle and have a good meal. Attached was the website picture and the picture of my meal. read more

They charged us $16 for a large rice. My boyfriend asked for two sides of rice and she offered him either a small (which was like a palmful of rice) or a large (which was a regular large size) and said he could order one or the other. Since we needed a good amount he ordered the large. They charged him for 5 sides of what I assume are small rices at $3 each. Online prices aren't available for sides of rice at the Bloomingdale location but at the elmhurst location they are listed as $1.95. Not sure in what world 3-4 cups of rice costs $16... Also, it was bland. read more

Twice now they've messed my order up when I pick it up and come home. I had to drive back to get the correct order! Just now, I ordered a bunch of tacos for myself and my 2 boys and they shorted me 2 tacos. I checked my receipt and it showed I ordered paid for 5. I even "tipped" them because I know how tough restaurants are at this time. i got hone, noticed I was 2 tacos shirt. I had to go back over there and explain. The little girl giggled at me which pissed me off more! I held my cool and asked them to make mew ones. This time, I checked to make sure there were 5 when they were done. I didn't get anything FREE for their mistake. No free guacamole, or chips and salsa or anything. No free taco next time I order from them again. NOPE.....NOTHING! Just a "sorry " and a grin and giggle! My family and I order from there quite a few times. NOT ANYMORE! I don't need to waste my gas driving back and forth right now with these damn gas prices, especially working all day and dealing with a mistake and not being compensated! Don't waist your money there. You'll just get a "sorry" and a smile when they screw your order up! read more

After having to walk out of 2 chipotles tonight, I came here. Should have just went home. Ordered a burrito with steak, cheese, onion and cilantro and sour cream. No sour cream, no cheese. AND NO BEANS. About an entire onion cut into the burrito. Again, I don't know what's going on the world but to pay $40 for 2 burritos that inedible due to the amount of onions is ridiculous. This place will close soon and good riddance when it does. When I called back the girl on the phone told me "you guys are complaining but yet probably are the food already." They clearly do not like American customers and only want one ethnic group of people eating there. They refused to give their names so that I can call corporate. Sickening and I hope everyone here loses their job. read more

My review is based on the Tacos. Cilantro IS: Good food - double tortilla, long list of meat options Good bang for your buck, $2.20 a taco. Very reasonable Good presentation on food Fast food - offers sit down but intended to eat in the go. Small baskets are good indication in the "eating on the fly" Authentic flavors - Al Pastor is legit, Lengua, Beef Tongue, is tender and cubed, Tripe is fried hard or soft to your liking. 3 really good authentic and exotic fillings. They even have Cabeza, "Beef Head". Didn't try it but may try it in the future. Good location - Located in Bloomingdale next to grocery store. You can eat prior to your shopping. Down the Street from church. Stop her after service for a quick bite. Good for Take Out - because of it's size, I would probably recommend take out. Good portions - Not too big, not too small. Price reflects good size taco. I had 3 and was good until my next meal. Service was okay. Girl at the counter was young and perhaps her first job. Needs service with a smile. The lady behind the counter asked me plenty of times if everything was to my liking. I heard good things about this place and it's location in Stone Park. Never got a chance to go but happy that I came to this location. If you're in the area, check it out. read more

I like this place but they are making rules up. I've never had a problem like this before. Today I ordered 6 tacos (3 tacos for 2 people) usually I get 2 of each sauce (their sauce containers are SUPER small) and a 2 bags of carrots per dinner. Today, out of no where they told me for 6 tacos I can only have 4 of their super tiny sauces and one carrot bag that's get smaller and smaller each time I go in. (btw if you eat in store they are unlimited amounts for both and a giant container of self serve carrots) Though the food is great there are multiple great taco restaurants in the area... some with salsa bars even. Since their launch, I've eaten here. I will probably come back but this left a poor opinion of how I feel they are going forward. Pic attached shows the to go bag bag of carrots that has 4 slices of carrots and 1 cauliflower and their micro container of salsa. I think for a $20 meal for 2 people they can give me 2 of each salsa and an extra bag of carrots. read more

It was flavorless . They barely put any meat on the taco. The steak was very bland. It had no seasonings. I expect a lot more for paying over four dollars a taco never going back again. This place is terrible. read more

I went to grab some to go containers and I got the 3rd degree. Then when they asked if I wanted hot sauce they put the plastic utensils behind the counter. I just spent $27 there and I can't have to go containers or utensils? Will never come back here. If I could I would give 0 stars. read more

Have eaten here several times and the food is delicious. Places is spotless and quick service.

Have been going to this location for a while now. COVID-19 precautions included workers wearing masks and customers required to wear masks. There was also plexi glass separating the front from the kitchen area. None of the tables were closed off for social distancing purposes. I am not sure if it was hard to hear through masks and the plexi glass, but the women taking our order rang us up for the wrong item so we got the wrong item as well. At that point, we just ate the wrong item and did not bring it up to the cashier. I constantly go back to Cilantro due to their authentic flavors and style of meat. Can't go wrong with any of the tacos. My favorites include al pastor, chorizo, asada - cilantro and onion style with sour cream. Also they have Mexican coke here, which is made from cane sugar instead of processed and it tastes SO good. read more

Cilantro gets a bad rep!! This location took a long time to open near my work but now that is has im here at least once a week!! The belly bowl is my favorite and in my opinion WAY BETTER than chipoltle. I feel happy and full when i finish eating The al pastor is better than most restaurants ive tried. If you dont like other locations try this one!! Its better than others read more

Pictured is a milinesa and steak taco. The streak was probably my favorite meat flavor wise but the tacos are small. I tried an al pastor Torts which I thing was the best value. My wife also ordered a carnitas bowl and she said it was ok. Foods good but I think the tacos are small for the cost. read more

Ordered 3 burritos they were not very good, the steak was a bit chewy and the one taco I ordered was the worst ! The tortilla was about the size of the palm of my hand with a teaspoon of ground beef and a tinny tiny amount condiments and smashed all over in the foil. Not worth $4.20 Also if you use debit card or credit card they charge you extra for that as well. I will not be back to this chain again. They have no sign indicating an extra charge for using debit/credit cards. read more

Our favorite local place for steak tacos. Nothing fancy but good, authentic tacos don't need to be! The milanesa is also really good here. Everything is always fresh and tasty, and the place is clean so not much else you can ask for. read more

The food was reasonable, but I probably wouldn't come here again. I don't want to be too harsh on a small business, but I wouldn't say they have a very good value here. I thought was my burrito was decent, but my wife didn't like the meal she ordered. The food seems similar to the nearby Steak Burrito, but is a little worse in quality. I didn't really like that they didn't have a fountain for drinks. They have either cans or bottles of sodas, which is bizarre. It was a strange setup. I didn't think the customer service was very good to be honest, which doesn't entice a body to come back. The guy just kind of yelled that our food was ready, which was also bizarre. When you get down to it the food isn't bad though, and that is what is most important. I'll say it was an OK place, but it's a one and done for our family. read more

Pretty good taco place. The staff was friendly and the kids really liked the quesadillas. They forgot the tamale on my order but were quick to fix that. I ordered 3 tacos and all 3 were delicious. One was chile relleno, another was pastor, and the last was asada. Yum. I'd go back, and I'd recommend this. It's right by Mariano's. The seating is cozy with only a few tables. They have carrots and peppers, although it's quite mild. It may become my new go to, we shall see. read more

Cilantro is a chain mexican restaurant and this location doesn't seem to have it together. The portions are very measured, evident by the single 1/3 cup size scoop of rice and beans. Their food is decent, but the portions are off. I ordered a steak burrito, which was stuffed with lettuce. The little bit of steak I had was tasty, but my burrito was built like a salad inside a tortilla. The creamy green hot sauce is great, but despite asking for extra I ran out of it quickly as extra meant 3 tiny containers. I'd be willing to try it again but don't really need to as their are much better Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

I visited Cilanrro this afternoon for a quick, fresh and tasty lunch! I was not disappointed. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered steak, pork and grilled fish tacos with cilantro and onions. The tacos where tasty and full of flavor. The pork had a nice grilled flavor, steak was very "beefy" and the fish was light and fresh. Tacos were reasonably priced at 2.20 a taco. read more

I was extremely disappointed with this place , I ordered a torta , it was $11 which I would've gladly paid if it was worth it but it was so tiny and when I called to complain , the guy that answered the phone didn't even try to offer a way to resolve this problem read more

This is probably the cleanest cilantro I've been too .. food was good .. but they are stingy and give very small portions other that that .. I was pleased read more

My experience here could have been much better. I ordered the steak burrito dinner, and the burrito itself was good, however very poorly assembled. There was no lettuce in the burrito until I was halfway through it. There was only sour cream right in the middle of the burrito. The last half was only steak. It would have taken much more effort to put a little pride into making the food. The dinner is only $2 more than the burrito, however for $2 more, I got only a tiny spoonful of beans and rice. Most places give you a plentiful amount of rice and beans on the side. I would probably go back again but not for the burrito and definitely not for a dinner option. MORNING AFTER UPDATE: I really feel that I must update my review, however I'm not sure if I should give them an extra star because for the 1st time in my life I feel that I had a burrito give my bowels and exorcism, or take a star way because I almost crapped my pants! Seriously, I'm not sure what it was in this burrito but it had an explosive consequence! I was seriously worried about breaking my toilet with the ferocity in which things were being expelled from my body. I seriously doubt I will ever trust this place again! read more

Horrible place!! Went in to order the lady at the cash register tried to process my credit card 10 times without saying anything. Finally I asked what's wrong with the payment then she said credit card machine issues. After 25 min I was told to leave my credit card info on a piece of paper with my full name full credit cards info. I don't think so!!!! Won't come back, very unprofessional place!! Horrible service!!!! read more

Wow, and not in a good way! We tried this place twice in a couple of weeks and was disappointed both times. Friends said the food was good, so we thought our first experience was an aberration, it wasn't. The red sauce is pretty good and the beans are okay, everything else we tasted was bad, not just not good, but bad. We had the tacos in asada, chorizo, pastor, barbacoa, pollo, carnitas and picadillo. The asada and chorizo are so hard you could use it as gravel. The tortas and burritos were really hurt by the dry hard meat. The torta bread was also over grilled, aka burnt. Tamales are definitely subpar, I get better at the grocery store. There is too much dry masa surrounding the almost tasteless meat filling. I give the chicken tamale 2 stars and the pork zero. My boyfriend said the rice was like nothing he's tried before and hopes to never try anything like it again. My quest for decent tacos in the burbs continues. read more

I've been to Addison and Elgin Cilantro Taco Grill. Great tacos, led me to try to Bloomingdale one due to convenience. Placed an order for 5 tacos and one burrito to go. One of the Al Pastor tacos was missing and the other was practically burned. The 3 Barbacoa tacos were extremely greasy and lacked seasoning, tasted nothing like the other Cilantro Taco Grills. Will not be back. read more

Did not have a good first experience with Cilantro. The lady who took my order was rude and overcharged me for something I didn't order. When I told her I didn't want chicken in my quesadilla, she accusingly said, yes you said chicken. I was also charged $1.00 for sour cream and then it wasn't even given to me. On top of the bad customer service, the food was not that good. There are much better places to go! I would stay away from Cilantro! read more

Pretty decent clean shop. I had a chorizo taco that was very flavorful. I also had a steak burrito that was tasty, but kinda small for the price. When i was done i was stillhungry, but oddly enough, very pleased with the quality. Some hole in the wall burrito places my have more quantity on the plate, but this was fine. Ill take he clean environment. read more

The food was just ok. Not really any flavor but I have had worse. The problem is for what I spent I could have went across the parking lot to the Taco Bell and gotten twice as much food. That is the good part of the visit. The girl who took our orders was very snotty. Lots of eye rolling and huffing. Very unperfessional. I asked for the bean and rice burrito without the rice. You would think I just asked her to donate some blood to me. Maybe she was having a bad day. I won't come back based on her. Not the food. read more

Very Tasty Service is Gear. Good at a great price. Also a very comfortable enviornment.

Have to go here! The tortillas are sooooo bomb and they don't have the texture of the thick hard store bought ones. The Asada and the pastor were nice and juicy made Mexican style with onions and cilantro. The salsas weren't super special but you hardly need it because the flavors of the meat are able to carry on their own. Definetly my go to favorite in the suburbs read more
