No problem ordering drinks but in our party, four of us got their appetizers and meal and two of us were waiting...it was just jalapeños poppers and a cheeseburger! The rest of the party even got their checks and we were still waiting for our food! Mind you other people who came in after us got their food before us! When we asked the waitress she seemed to always have an excuse...there's only one cook, we are busy, I don't work the kitchen!!!! Really? then why did others who came in after us get their food before us? The answer, they called in...yeah, I don't think so! After one hour waiting we gave up and since the rest of our party were ready to leave our food finally arrived!!!...and the waitress asked do you just want a box to go???? Needless to say we won't be going there anytime soon!!!!!

Another 6 wings with mango habenero and 6 cuts of pizza with pepperoni. Was engaged with a friend texting back and forth so wasn't paying attention to the time. Three more people came in and ordered food. They got theirs in about 10 minutes. I still didn't. Looked at the time and now it's 827 pm. I asked can someone check on my food? She ran back and came back 5 minutes which we all know means more than 5 minutes. Fed up I said just give me my tab it's been an hour. Paid for my beer and left. Went to Hops and Barleys. Ordered my food and got it in 10 minutes. Wings and a Quesadilla. Never going back and suggest you never go if you're not a regular. Piss poor service filled with excuses and trying to make things better with a shot or a beer. Later.

The ambiance is quiet and low-lit, tough for menu reading post-40 but just what the doctor ordered after a loud, busy, sensory-filled day. My tag-along insisted on the clams, not knowing what etouffee was, and he really questioned the roasted peanuts on the sticky Asian ribs, but they reeled me in. There was a lot going on with the prosciutto wrapped dates, and my best guy steered clear of the adventureful bowl, but between bites of crispy prosciutto and sweet date, with a pronounced blue cheese and hot honey kick, I was cleaning up that hummus like I was a butternut squash ambassador. Not to be outranked, the Southern fried chicken tacos may have been the best bang for our buck; they were absolutely delicious and you can't even get fast food chicken tacos at that price point; very impressive. Can't wait to get back!

We started with the tortilla chips covered in blue cheese sauce with bacon and scallions. Delicious-I've had it before elsewhere on house-made potato chips, but the seasoning on these chips was a nice addition. My husband had the Cuban sandwich on a buttered baguette, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the smashburger with extra cheese, which arrived with no cheese. Bree said she'd have the kitchen correct their mistake, and instead of just slapping on the cheese, they made me a whole new sandwich which, to my cheese-loving delight, literally came dripping with cheese! Both of our plates had a generous portion of perfectly done fries. The drinks were good pours, too, however I had missed the wall(behind our seats)that showed quite a few special martinis. I will give them a try next time as we are coming to town for another show at the Kirby next month. Kevin, who I figured to be the manager, came by to check on us, but said he was not the manager, just an employee making sure things were good. We appreciated that as nowadays once the food is served, you might not see your server again until it's time to pay. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return.

That said, management seriously needs to get their act together -- better scheduling and actual leadership would be a start. Now the food... wow. Dry, bland chicken that tasted like it had a personal vendetta. Broccoli was weirdly bitter and rubbery. The nacho platter? Straight-up movie theater reject: canned cheese, beans, and sadness. Portions were laughably small -- my toddler nephew eats more. And the price? Absolutely not worth it. Cafeteria food at fine-dining prices. Management should be embarrassed. Time to revamp the kitchen, taste your food, and remember what a restaurant is supposed to be. Such a shame for such a nice space.
