Friendly owners & staff. Quick service & excellent coffee. They can customize a coffee for you if your looking for something special to drink. The pastries are fresh daily & are displayed on the front counter as you pay for coffee. I can easily past the time drinking coffee & smoking cigars on a nice sunny day outside the shop. It could be the perfect spot to work from your laptop & enjoy the day. If you smoke cigars check out their humidor for a variety of brands.

One of my favorite places on 5th. A nice cigar and beer to kick back, relax outside and catch up with friends. + =

Such a great and low key spot to have a cigar with a great cup of coffee, whether you're there to watch a game, catch up on some work, or just to people watch. Plenty of sidewalk seating, including a stand-up bar for those super busy evenings. While not a huge humidor or tap house, the selections are diverse and high quality. The understated vibe here though is what makes this place worth coming back to again and again!

Love this place. Amazing staff. The owners are on site working too. These guys do an amazing job with their drinks, cigar suggestions, very friendly to new cigar smokers. You'll see people here on the patio watching games on the outdoor tvs, people studying inside or working here as their office. PS, if you're Filipino or into ube/taro, highly recommend you get their Oo-Bae cold brew.

Oh unfortunately I didn't take more pictures because I was busy enjoying myself. Great friendly staff and casual comfortable and welcoming. The outdoor patio has ample shade if you want or soak in the sun. Amazing heat lamps if you're cold. I mean they work really well. Great place.

Cool little spot to enjoy a cigar and a wine or coffee. They don't have a huge selection but do have some quality smokes! Friendly service and a cool vibe!

Came down to Cigars On Fifth this afternoon as one of our stops to hit a few cigar lounges, needless to say we never left this place. We stayed till closing with the owner. We drank, we ate, we smoked, we talked for hours and had a great time. I was in the mood to try something different today. So we shared a flight of different coffees (my picks are the white mocha and hazelnut coffee), we shared Banana Bread, and eggwhite quiche, (which I have never had with egg whites) with bacon and spinach and was unbelievably fresh and tasty since all they're food is made fresh daily. We also had a rum infused coffee with SAKE! Amazing! My go to pairing has always been coffee and cigars. It just brings out the flavors of each other. Cigars On Fifth is Family owned and operated they provided the ambience of the essences of San Diego with home like patio seating for you to sit and smoke and drink coffee, beer, or wine. They gave us the royal treatment and greeted us with care and frequently checked on us, as drove nearly 2hrs. to get to San Diego and provided us with their excellent service, excellent hospitality, excellent cigar selection for the size of their location with indoor and outdoor patio seating. My only problem with them is that they're not close to home, but I will be going to San Diego more often during the summertime. It's must go to spot for all cigar aficionados. If my review helped you decide coming here, let me know. Wow, I just read my review, sorry it's a lil long, but can you blame me, it's that good!

What a great place to relax at the end of the day... service is phenomenal... wine is delicious and a great assortment of cigars.... Oh... it's also the quiet storm roasters and their coffee is roasted here on-site... delicious!!!

We were walk-ins, so seated at the bar but that was more than fine since we got to see all the actions as the dishes were being prepared. They recommend 4-6 dishes for 2 people. We got 5, and that felt right. We had the eggplant toast, corn soup, Brussels sprouts salad, yellowtail (our favorite) and the mushroom polenta. All delicious in their own way. What a gem of a restaurant!

Wow. Just wow. My…read morebest friend had been raving about Wolf in the Woods for years, so she brought me here for my birthday. As two serious foodies, our expectations were high. This place exceeded every one of them. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, Wolf in the Woods feels like a hidden European café you'd stumble upon while traveling. Sitting outside beneath the umbrellas with a cocktail, watching the neighborhood stroll by. It felt like a little corner cafe in Paris. Then the food arrived. Every plate was beautifully presented, but the real magic was in the creativity of the flavors. The combinations were unexpected, yet every one worked. Every dish had me wondering how on earth someone came up with these pairings in the first place. The Sweet Corn & Piñon Soup deserves a standing ovation. We literally stopped talking after the first spoonful. Rich, savory, slightly sweet, comforting and completely unexpected all at the same time. Both of our eyes rolled back in our heads. The Beef Tataki completely surprised me. The outside had a delicate seared crust, the inside cut like butter, and the citrus pairing made me rethink what flavors belong together. And the mushroom and polenta dish? The mushrooms had an incredible texture--like savory little pieces of mushroom jerky. I would have happily bought a pound of them just to snack on. Every dish felt like it was taking me somewhere I'd never been before, yet somehow felt familiar at the same time. Wolf in the Woods creates an unforgettable experience.

The funniest part was actually finding the place. We kept looking at the Yelp photos of the exterior, and the logo made us think the restaurant was in a large standalone building. Our Tesla kept navigating us to the same location, but we couldn't find what we expected. On our second pass, FSD actually pulled us right in front of the entrance--even in a red zone for a brief moment--just so we could finally see the Starlite sign. It honestly felt like the car knew we weren't recognizing the place. It was such a funny experience that made FSD seem almost human. Once inside, we were blown away. The interior is absolutely top-notch--stylish, elegant, and full of character. The pistachio dessert and the chocolate mousse were pure heaven, rich, smooth, and beautifully presented. The hidden disco room with the waterfall is simply insane and adds such a unique vibe to the experience. Even the restrooms are thoughtfully designed and incredibly cool. Starlite isn't just a place for dessert--it's an experience from the moment you arrive until you leave. Highly recommended if you're looking for an unforgettable atmosphere paired with amazing desserts.

Made reservations for my birthday. I thoroughly reviewed their website. This age requirement is NOWHERE on their website, so we booked a reservation with Open Table. No problems. We drive an HOUR to this freaking place to get turned away at the door because it's technically "a bar" even though they have a full dinner menu. When I point out none of this is advertised anywhere, I'm informed it's on Open Table, and that we should've seen it there, and were dismissed. They said they could give us another restaurant recommendation and then proceeded to just dismiss us without even that courtesy. We go back to verify this age limit, and it's there... one TINY line 2 scrolls down on the page, WAY beyond any of the information needed to just book a table, which is the only thing Open Table is used for. Complete waste of time for a poorly advertised bar with zero helpful staff on a dumpy street by the airport.

Definitely on the pricier end for certain dishes but many of them are well worth it! - sourdough bread: good but also why are we spending $16 here. can't say it's worth - ahi tartare: no notes, everything hit, would come back for this alone - steamed clam and mussels: these were some meaty af mussels. delicious! the clams were tiny & pathetic tho and can't say I loved having the chorizo in there - charred broccolini: honestly don't remember this well but i had no complaints - grilled oysters: another fav of mine!!! a must get - hearth roasted carrots: the yogurt & pesto were on the side (due to dairy restrictions) but the pesto was SO. Came for happy hour (wed-sun 4-6) in the bar ONLY. Got the crispy chicken wings, Wagyu longaniza,…read moreand burger. The bar is located in a separate room than the dining area. Happy hour seating is walk ins only, no reservations. There is a "happy hour" on Monday but it's called Ouster mondays oysters are $1 and they have different specials that are not offered on the normal happy hour. The chicken wings were very crispy and came topped with a jalapeño relish. The relish had a citrusy taste to it or maybe it was the liquid from the pickled jalapeños. I liked the crispness of the chicken but I think the relish was too acidic for me. The Wagyu longaniza was my favorite, very strong beefy flavor. It came on top of salsa matcha which i thought was very tasty so much that I dipped the wings and burger in the sauce. The slice of radish on top gave it a nice texture and crunch. I see the Wagyu hotdog is on the oyster Monday special so I'm gonna have to come back and try that for sure. The burger was cooked nicely, medium as requested. It came topped with an egg, truffled onion jam, and cheddar cheese. The bun was nicely toasted and the egg and cheese added a nice rich element to it but I didn't care for the onion jam, it gave the burger an overall sweet profile. I'd simply ask for it without next time. Over all a solid burger, maybe I'd add bacon too. I also had a margarita which was on happy hour special. I asked for it to be spicy and they added a tajin rim which was nice. Spicy and refreshing! Parking is all on the street so I had to part a few blocks away. Overall a solid happy hour. I'll be back on Ouster Monday for the hot dog and fish collars.
