Seating: Indoor seating and outdoor lounge setup with chairs and tables--very laid back and open. You even get to sit in an island on the road. Vibes: Welcome to the Hillcrest Gay-borhood. Super unique. It's a coffee shop + plant shop + cigar lounge hybrid, which gives it a really relaxed, community feel. Definitely not your dark, moody cigar bar--this is more daytime-friendly, approachable, and welcoming. It feels like a spot where you can casually hang, whether you're new to cigars or already into them. Small little family owned shop that is a straight up vibe! So unique in how they use their venue to accommodate customers. You sit outside but by the curb and on the elevated median between the shop and the street. Kinda feels like college how they take advantage of what little outdoor space you can create in Hillcrest but also upscale because well it's cigars and coffee and alcohol. I forgot our servers name but he was extremely helpful and friendly when choosing a cigar and the best drink to compliment it. Hooked me up with the BEST, and I do mean THE BEST espresso martini. The pastries are fresh daily & are displayed on the front counter as you pay for coffee. I can easily past the time drinking coffee & smoking cigars on a nice sunny day outside the shop. This place is awesome. The Service here is absolutely amazing. They have a selection of cigars for you to enjoy outside with a tv. If you're not in the mood for tv you can always people watch. If you're not a smoker there a spot for you to enjoy inside. The coffee here is amazing. It's clean and you feel safe. When it gets cold they do have little heaters to keep you warm. Love this place. Amazing staff. The owners are on site working too. These guys do an amazing job with their drinks, cigar suggestions, very friendly to new cigar smokers. The variation of cigars isn't huge that they offer, but the selection they have is perfect with the drinks on offer. The service and employees were incredibly accommodating and eager to please, bringing over a heater personally just for me when sitting on the sidewalk porch. The atmosphere is nice and the seats are comfy with a nice patio area to relax with a smoke on. Doesn't feel nearly as stuffy as some other 'high end' cigar bars and just feels like a nice place to chill and drink. read more

This is one my favorite places to meet with colleagues and friends for something other than a full meal. What works for me and those I meet with is their combination of outdoor and semi-outdoor seating, beverages, light fare, cigars for those who enjoy them. If you are in San Diego, this is the place for Cigars! Also they have good food as well as their own coffee, pastry, tea beverages. They also serve beer and wine as well. Came down to Cigars On Fifth this afternoon as one of our stops to hit a few cigar lounges, needless to say we never left this place. We stayed till closing with the owner. We drank, we ate, we smoked, we talked for hours and had a great time. I was in the mood to try something different today. So we shared a flight of different coffees (my picks are the white mocha and hazelnut coffee), we shared Banana Bread, and eggwhite quiche, (which I have never had with egg whites) with bacon and spinach and was unbelievably fresh and tasty since all they're food is made fresh daily. We also had a rum infused coffee with SAKE! Amazing! My go to pairing has always been coffee and cigars. It just brings out the flavors of each other. Cigars On Fifth is Family owned and operated they provided the ambience of the essences of San Diego with home like patio seating for you to sit and smoke and drink coffee, beer, or wine. They gave us the royal treatment and greeted us with care and frequently checked on us, as drove nearly 2hrs. to get to San Diego and provided us with their excellent service, excellent hospitality, excellent cigar selection for the size of their location with indoor and outdoor patio seating. My only problem with them is that they're not close to home, but I will be going to San Diego more often during the summertime. It's must go to spot for all cigar aficionados. This is a fantastic cigar lounge in the heart of hillcrest that just opened up. It has a great in door / outdoor feel where they have a beautiful bar inside that opens up to the outside where there's several seating areas along with heaters. They also serve amazing coffee, beer and small bites. You gotta try their tropical mist beer. It's amazing! They're cigar selection had all of the main cigar brands you would come to find such as davidoff, under crown and herrera esteli. I had the under crown 10 year and it was a great smoke.
