TV had baseball on when I got here, and then switched over to some great ambient visuals when the game was over. Great jazz music playing in the background, but not too loud that you can enjoy a conversation. Great membership option as well!!! Street parking right outside the front door, and a private lot with a back entrance in the rear of the building. If you haven't been here yet and are looking for somewhere new for a great cigar experience, you must try this place!! Minimum 25-minute drive for me when I'm visiting, but well with every minute. Immediately made me feel very comfortable being there as a new customer. He walked me through their wide selection of cigars in their nice humidor, and explains them to me very patiently. The vibe of the lounge is very nice and comfortable. All leather chairs and couches, with very clean ash trays and lighters all set up ready for you. They also have drinks and snacks. The music and the friendly vibe make you feel very relaxed. Customers I met there were very friendly as well. A very good 2 hours I've spent there. It's a beautiful place that I will go back again with my friends as well.

We popped in to catch the Argentina vs. Switzerland match and ordered food nearby. Him at Gus's nextdoor and me via a DoorDash drop off from Maciel's off York Blvd, less than 3 miles away. I had one of the best big gauge Lunatic brand cigars and noted a lot of others I'd come back to try or stock up on here. Service was friendly and all the guys enjoying their evening cigars were as well. Everyone really got into the games, Dodgers on the other big screen being defeated. Easy parking shared with Gus's BBQ nextdoor, which had non-stop foot traffic. Plenty of gents trickled in to the Fair Oaks as well. We had a couple of sodas here, nice and cool from their cold box with water and other ready to grab bevs, but no cocktails as it's more of a spirit shop in that since. Though I would definitely partake next time in a bottle purchase to support this cool small biz. I'd imagine there's a fee possible for opening up in shop, but you never know. I ended up with the Oliva which was under $18. There's a walk-in humidor with an endless variety of cigars, which I'll undoubtedly get to try soon. Not only did he take the time to explain several cigars' flavor profiles, he took the time to drop some knowledge on the punch cut along with other useful info. He didn't try to upsell but also introduced me to some equipment I'd be needing in the near future. 5 stars for the incredible service! I agree that the atmosphere is generally a good one as I've walked by many times over the years and seen it change a lot. They do have a private room for members and a spacious lounge area in the main area of the store. It's in a cool location, directly across from the Bucca di Beppo of Pasadena in Old Town/Old Pasadena, at the corner of De Lacey Avenue/Green Street. I highly recommend Chivas! Aura Parra, of Davidoff Torcedores, is one of eight official Master Rollers on the planet. Cigars by Chivas hosted a Davidoff event where she hand rolled, pressed and stamped 300 Cigars that you could purchase. The limited edition smoke was the Robusto Real Especial 7 which was hands down a 10/10 perfect cigar. That event made this particular cigar #1 of my top ten cigar moments.

Then the other particulars go into play, where and what capa is the cigar wrapped in, as well as the binder and filler since they all provide a flavor profile. Having said all that my experience at Mursuli was exceptional. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Their walk in humidor houses a wide variety of sizes, types and shades. Their prices are exceptional. My usual is a Padron Series 1964 Belicoso and although the 52 ring 4" cigar that were purchased are not to the standard of such a high end cigar, but it was very flavorful. A nice even ash is always a tell tale sign of a good roll and these burned evenly throughout the smoke. Overall great pricing, service and flavor.

Oliva also has a large selection including Oliva Series 5 Melanio which earned a 97 rating on Cigar Aficionado. Highly recommend this place for any serious enthusiasts. They also just did a mini renovation and the shop looks better than ever - much more organized. They had the FIFA tourney on while I was there... the gentleman usually there very pleasant and great service - brought a tray in for me my hands were getting full LOL. Expensive. No discounts here. Bring your wallet.
