One of my lovely daughters ordered a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers just to say she loves me…read more The florist that delivered my bouquet with a smile was friendly and instructed me to wash the stems and change the water every one to two days, which I did. However in about 8 days the flowers suddenly looked like a scary movie. Each time I rinsed the stems and changed the water, the water sometimes turned a brownish color; I couldn't figure out why this happened. I contacted the florist and she said to bring the flowers back and she would replace them. When I arrived with the $80 nightmare she insisted that I had not changed the water as instructed, saying the water was dirty. I told her the water had been changed, but she insisted that I had not changed the water; meaning, she was calling me a liar. The florist gave me flowers, but not the replacement arrangement she said she would give. I guess she gave me what she thought I deserved, not what she said she would replace. I wasn't going to argue with her, we'll just never order from her again! Because the flowers deteriorated so quickly, I'm thinking it could be the water which was not the florist fault, nor mine. Why did I give Rancho Duarte Florist two stars? Because the florist did not honor her word to replace the bouquet but instead gave me what she wanted, and because she insisted that I had not changed the water, basically calling me a liar. Totally unacceptable!

When rung up on the register I saw product marked as "toy" for $16.00. When asked what toy... man at register pointed to the unicorn toy which was clearly marked as $3.63. So I said which item costs that much... which he then pointed to the sour gummy watermelon gushers. I was not born yesterday and clearly he took advantage to up charge me the cost of the unmarked item... It's a struggling small business so I decided to just purchase items anyway but in no way can you guys get away with unfair practices such as those. If your business is struggling the more you should be nice and fair and honest to your consumers. I wish you guys the best but gut feeling this place won't stay open for that much longer.

They were here last year for the month of October, and it seems they've returned for the same time this year. There's plenty of parking in this area, and it's conveniently situated next to the newly opened Dollar Tree. Out of all the Spirit Halloween stores I've visited, this one is definitely one of the nicer ones. It's larger, with more space to move around, cleaner, and much better organized, with fewer crowds compared to other locations. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by impressive Halloween displays and moving animatronics. These are available for purchase but tend to be on the pricier side. The technology behind these displays seems to have evolved, with some animatronics even featuring sensor tracking--so their faces move as if they're watching you. This year, it seems they're going for a carnival theme, with decor like the "Wheel of Fate," "Down the Duck," and "World Famous Side Shows" stage, complete with a ticket booth and a walk-through "Fun House." It's all very inventive and adds to the spooky atmosphere. There's a huge selection of Halloween-related items here, from costumes to accessories. You'll find masks, pumpkin carving kits, and an extensive collection of costumes. They have everything from the classic skeletons and ghosts to themed characters. I was particularly impressed by the Spongebob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Harry Potter sections. However, the costumes are on the expensive side--for example, the Squidward inflatable costume is a hefty $59.99! Some of these costumes, like Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, could easily be made for cheaper with a bit of DIY effort. Regardless, if you're looking to get into the Halloween spirit, this is a great spot to visit. The displays are fun, the selection is wide, and even though the prices can be high, it's still worth checking out for the experience alone.
