I had purchased a vehicle with Autonation finance and was told it would be financed with Toyota financial which was a lie. It ended up being CIG/Autonation financial. When I received the welcome packet from the company it stated that if I wanted to do online payments it would be a $6 charge per payment. That is $72 bucks a year. The only way for them not to charge would be to send a check, hello 1984 or do autopay. What a scam. After one payment, I refinanced to Capital One. There is no reason to charge fees to do an online payment. Good bye CIG financial, hope I never have to do business with you again. read more

Great people honestly. Helped me get my first car, payments were affordable and they didn't want too much down. Times are tough? That's okay, they'll give you three deferments for your loan and they never make you feel bad for rescheduling a payment. Even throughout having the loan the customer service was amazing with any issues i had. I wish i could finance with them again but i think they were bought by Auto Nation read more

This company is currently committing grand theft auto on my Audi SQ 8. I asked for lawful debt validation under UCC 3-501 in February and they have failed to validate the alleged obligation. They have harassed me twice a day via telephone, text and email for months. Which is unlawful and criminal. I have sent Notice of Dishonor. Notice of Default. Notice of Discharge. Even Notice of Estoppel. They attempted to steal my automobile in the middle of night in March and have now stolen it from an impound lot and are attempting to hide it from me with all my personal property inside. These people are criminals. Do not do business with them. I will be filing Commercial Liens against them in the morning. If this company finances your vehicle. Tell them no thank you. If you don't believe me check the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and you will find double digit complaints on their website. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This place is a scam!!!! I sent them a check for my car loan payoff of $18,700 ! They constantly blow up my phone and send me texts that my account is in collections, yet they cashed my check for $18,700??? I hate this place and I recommend anyone just take the bus, i bought a $35k just to pay it off UNDER 6months AND THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO GET MORE MONEY OUT OF ME. This should have -5 STARS.!.!. Dear Cig Financial, I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from your company. I was harassed and threatened by a representative(s): jmccarty@cigfinancial.com, ogomez@@cigfinancial.com, Eflores@cigfinancial.com jpartida@cigfinancial.com I repeatedly tried to tell your representative(s ) that this payment was resolved. THAT CIG Financial had cashed my check, but he/she refused to deal with my questions. After talking with several difference CSR's I accomplished nothing. I am most annoyed that I wasted a morning, days, nights (and half a day's vacation) on trying to correct YOUR company's mistake. I even had to go to the bank and get a copy of the cashed check to prove CIG Financial is in the wrong.!.!. My impression of That Awful Company has been tarnished, and I am now concerned about how my existing business is being managed by your firm. Furthermore, your CSR's inability to listen and DO their job, or transfer me to a manager so they could do it meant that I have had to engage the harassing phone calls and threats that they were going to come "pick up my car", and incur the expense, of a late fees and wasted time. I trust this is not the way That Awful Company wishes to conduct business with valued customers--I have been with you since the company for 2 yrs and have never encountered such treatment before. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to hearing from you. read more

The CIG financial LLC website is so not user friendly. I've tried multiple times to make a payment online and it won't take my account number because it is too short. I've called the automated service and I have an account number error issue as well. After entering in the same information 100 times it finally works, but I have to go through that every month. It's funny because you can never get through to an agent either if you try to call them directly to help with any payment issues. It's like they want you to be unable to oh so that you miss the payment and there goes your credit. Seriously, god forbid you miss a payment because then you'd really be speaking to agents. If I could give this company/ service a negative rating I would. read more

Worst customer service, so I called them to payoff a car and they wouldn't let me pay off the car. After explaining to them that the car was traded in, I needed the title for the car, they referred me to a manager. Of course a manager wasn't available and supposedly they were all out to lunch at the same EXACT time. And finally when a manager did call me, she said she can't be any more of an assistance because that's their policy and they only accept payoffs with mailed in checks. I've never heard that kind of a policy. Also, when I called to receive the amount of the pay-off, the representatives have me (2) different amounts for the same account. How is that possible?! DONT DEAL with them, they sound very sketchy..! PS: I can't believe they would accept a payment to pay-off a car, isn't that what banks want. read more

I am not a customer of CIG Financial but have been receiving menacing calls daily. This morning before filing this complaint a gentleman called me asking for someone named "X". I seriously don't know what there problem is, a little over a year got car loan from them. Never late last payment was March, April insurance sent them over 10,000.00. I have never had a car totaled so I received a email in April saying my account is past due and she was from their collections dept. Of course I was mad and emailed back why would it be in collections, insurance sent me a copy of check they got and knew there would be a balance. But never received anything and I was locked out of account, first they report to credit 150.00 was balance and I was 60-90 days late. I disputed with all credit people now they changed to 170.00 but I used to call automatic payment. They locked me out so I can't pay. Steer clear of these predators. After racking up some serious medical bills I unfortunately needed to use a sub-prime car loan service. I put over $12k down, and have made my payments (usually over payments) early or on time for over 2 years... however due to an oversight on my part I ended up being 4 days late. The obnoxious phone calls were ridiculous. They are relentless and ruthless, hostile and condescending to no end. They know my car is worth much more than owed, it was painfully obvious how anxious they were to repo (steal) it. Four days late, I repeat 96 hours... and they were threatening me with repo! They hounded me several times an hour, even after telling them it was an oversight that would be corrected promptly after work. I was at work during this harassment and unable to conduct a financial transaction. That didn't matter to them, they kept blowing up my phone with vile insults and threats. Oh, how much was I late? $46.00 lol. Dealer F&I guys take notice. You also have some responsibility to not shop loans to such unscrupulous companies. Make sure to read their "filtered" reviews also... STAY AWAY - you have been warned. read more

First off, I am truly grateful that this finance company has financed me for a vehicle due to my unsatisfactory credit. However, I have some complaints in regards to their customer service. Anita, Edward, and Hernan are awful! Their attitude is way below zero. They are sarcastic and answer your questions with a question (so unprofessional). I will be writing a letter to the president of this company. I can not believe how this company is run. I understand that finance companies have to get their money but sarcasm and rude remarks are not the way. They also ask personal questions and demand a post dated payment by card EVERY TIME. They have a $10.00 fee to pay by phone or by western union. And with that said, when people are having a rough time financially and are scrounging around just to make the payment, the $10.00 fee is too much to pay EVERY TIME. So CIG Financial all in all, has really bad customer service and needs to learn to treat people with more respect. Conversations between the customer and the agent need to be professional and strictly in regards to the account. Thank you! read more

I'd rather have my car repossessed than to deal with this rude-unprofessional-mean sarcastic-scolding remarks. I understand that being "late" with one payment is not a happy situation for anyone but they do not work with you at all. Most importantly they are so unprofessional on the phone-ive chosen to deal with them over email and funny how choosing of words is so carefully chosen when it's written. One of the employees LIZ VALDEZ--insulted my HR department and told her things like "are you chinese - i can't understand you"- unbelieveable that this is allowed by the company. I called in to make a complaint....i thought speaking to Martha supossed "supervisor" would have done something-only to get called my the same "Liz" days later. Ive asked them not to call me at work-i put it in writing just yesterday as i read my rights as a consumer. Listen i understand theyre trying to collect their money but when it's only 1 payment over due-give me a break. Just take the damn car - don't scold me-belittle me-insult me-that is not necessary-that is against the law!!!! read more

I hate this company. Marcia McGill is the WORST PERSON EVER!!! If I could say all the cuss words on here I would. I finally paid it off. They didn't update my credit report and I just got off the phone with her and she acts so nice after talking down to me like I wasn't a human being. I complained to her superiors about how she harassed me to no end and even brought my children into the mix. Everytime I think of her she makes my blood boil! Please anyone reading this, if you have to have them as a finance company, make your payments on time. NEVER BE LATE. Or they will try to destroy you. F*&#! that B*&%$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know some people left 5 stars on here because they have never missed a payment or must of not ever fell on hard times. Unlike some of us sometimes we can't make our payments on time and then they treat us like dogs. I send in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding the agent mentioned above in my rant. How she pretended like she was some sort of attorney and not just a regular collections agent. The business responded quickly to the Better Business Bureau and stated that my complaint about their agent was unfounded and that I was unhappy with their answer. Too bad I did not record the messages when she was talking about my family. Lesson learned she will always be a b****. However I'm sure they were unhappy that the better Business Bureau contacted them. And I'm sure CIG read their reviews on Yelp. So what I have to say to you Marcia is f*** you b**** I'm glad I never have to deal with you guys again. You can kiss my f****** ass. By the way people saying don't finance a car if you cant afford it, yall must've never fell on hard times, like loose a job, had a medical emergency, etc. Thank god I can afford the Jaguar XJ I am in now, CIG can still kiss my a$$. They take advantage of people with poor credit. As long as they get paid they can careless of whatever situation you are in. Good Luck Yelpers! read more

Here are my two cents about this place. I've typically had good credit in the past but in the last year hit a rough patch. My partner and I needed a second car so he can get to work independently. He is also a first time buyer. Right now, I get that we are not the ideal customers for a car loan. However, a year ago I bought my car, brand new on 0 financing. I've owned and financed 3 cars total. Never once was late or missed a payment. That being said, can I please have a chance to be a deadbeat before I am treated like one. My partner is fresh out of college and one phone call was from an agent who sounded completely dumbfounded that he had no job history. They've called every day with something new to harass me about and we haven't even made our first payment. I don't miss payment so here's hoping that I never have to deal with them again. Thank goodness it's a relatively short car loan. read more

BTW I don't work for CIG you morons. I totaled my car and my insurance paid off the balance I owed + some. Still up to that point I NEVER had any issues with CIG, don't know what you all are doing or who you're talking to because I've never had problems. But then again, I don't pay late. read more

This place would get 0 stars if possible. Like the other reviewers, I am thankful to have been able to get financing a few years back when I was still recovering from troublesome financial times (ie college and bad luck). It doesn't stop this company from completely sucking and being stuck in the stone ages. Their customer service has gotten somewhat better over the last year or so, but the people working for their company usually either flat out do not know what they are doing, don't care about their jobs, or are just incredibly unprofessional. It seems like they do not really train their employees very well. I've had people act sarcastic to me, or not apologize when a mistake has been made. Once I went into their office and the staff was super rude and standoffish to me when I asked for a receipt for the payment I had just made. Their website flat out sucks. The fact that you cannot go online and track your previous payments, or see your payoff amount is totally irritating. Any company that asks you to use western union in my opinion is downright sketchy. I usually prefer to make all of my payments online because it helps me keep things organized, but their website has been up and down for the last few months, so I've been having to make payments over the phone, which sometimes causes me to make them a day or two late because I don't have time to call and talk to their automated thing. I just called to get my payoff amount, and they gave me an amount that was $1000 more than when I called about 2 weeks ago, and they had no record of me being given a payoff amount from the date 2 weeks ago. It's likely if you are buying a car, you won't have a whole lot of choice if you land with this company, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

My 1999 Pontiac with 177k finally bit the dust. it was an ugly car--a true "Hooptie" but the only reason i drove it was because i had Terrible credit and didnt feel like going through the humiliation of trying to finance anything with the credit i had.. CIG financial were the only one who would finance my loan--so, not knowing much about them, and even after reading all the bad reviews, reality told me that my choices were next to None ( screw walking) so i signed up for a loan with CIG.. my interest was obviously High (I felt every percentage point go right through my A..) but i finally had a new car .. I never missed a payment and they never had to harrass me. i have since refinanced my loan (with a conventional bank) and my payment is now HALF of what it used to be. CIG is not cheap, but just like any other bank, if you dont fulfill your obligations they will come after you. i gave 4 stars because i refinanced after only 15 months into my loan. i had a good experience with CIG, i would recommend CIG to anybody in a similar situation--but warn them,, Make your payments--Dont make excuses. read more

If I could leave a Negative Star or a Pile of S**T, I would! Long story short if you do business with this nest of scam artists, get your lawyer ready!! This is what happened to us and it's their most common M.O.: 1. You get a car loan from a neighborhood car dealer. 2. You miss or are late on 1 (one) payment. 3. They repo your car. 4. Even though they have the car, you are charged for the full amount of the car, plus interest. 5. They WON'T report it to the DMV OR Update their records that they are in possession of the car they want you to pay for. 6. Worse yet, they will resale the car and run the same scam on another poor unsuspecting soul. 7. They put this fraud on your credit! 8. They send the false debt to a collection agency masking as a Law Group! F $!# YOU! , THIS IS ILLEGAL!! DON'T PAY THEM ONE PENNY IF THEY DO YOU LIKE THIS!! Because the moment you do, you are liable for any fake a** amount they came up with and it will win them a judgement in court. Then they will use that to garnish your wages!! DON'T PAY THEM! Make them take you to court and FIGHT IT! Because if they had any LEGAL ground to take your money, they would have already done it!! read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Any and all positive reviews, or reviews putting down the honest people, are from employees. I KNOW I didn't have stellar credit, I'm new to the credit world and a lot of banks don't want to take the risk of giving a loan to someone who hasn't had the chance to build credit, but there ARE OTHER BANKS that will treat you right! Even if you AREN'T late, they're rude, and condescending. I called to change my work phone, and they refused to change it. I spoke to 5 different people, and was hung up on every time. My former employer even called, they told her they would repossess my car (which they couldn't legally do so, I was up to date on ALL payments.) Never late. Said that they didn't believe I got a new job and hung up. Some people didn't even hear the whole detail of what I wanted to do before hanging up. You are better off going elsewhere, if a dealership tells you they can finance you through CIG make sure you've done more research than just my comment, you'll see everyone is VERY unhappy. They are spineless, slimy horrible people. They do not deserve your money or time. Again, STAY AWAY, unless you like being treated like scum. read more

I usually only give the negative reviews to warn others but lately I realized complimenting great businesses is even more valuable. My prev car suddenly broke down without warning and was supposed to cost quite a bit to fix and I couldn't afford the time nor patience to fix it, and because I couldnt also afford to buy a new reliable car cash upfront at the time, I decided to finance for the first time! Mind you I have no prev credit history as I have never financed anything before but I was financed by this company so swiftly and painlessly, with lower interest rates than most companies were offering. My name is Alex Bolaños and I had bought a car from this RIP off shady company CIG . Fell behind and started getting harassing threatening calls from there collection department. They would call me and hang up several times. They yell and call me names. I spoke to supervisors several occasions about their bullying tactics . They have been a nightmare. Finally we let our car go, took it to them . We got a call from the charge off department after car was sold. There was a small 3,500 balance. Triad settling but they wouldn't go down. They filed judgment on us. Well by law after 7 years it's supposed to come off your credit. This dirty shady small finance company updated after 7 years the judgment again. Called them back and rep laughed and said they do this to all there customers this way if a customer wants to get anything on credit some how customer will want to pay them. This is wrong!!!! I hate this company and those who are running it. They have no tactic nor any care for there customers. The moment you are late they treat you like a debtor and they have no respect and talk down to you. They start harassing you after 5 days late and on!! Rep said because they buy low end paper they jump on customers early as to avoid there portfolio from getting out of hand!!! This is wrong don't ever finance with this company!! I have suffered so much with my credit because of there tactics!! What ever you do get finance with any bank but then!! They are the finance from HELL!!!!! I am planning to report them and have reported them to the Attorney General and will keep on doing it till they do so with this company! Also I made a complaint with the BBB and to my surprise this horrible company for every complaint anyone makes they rebuttal each and everyone as to make themselves legit!!! They have made there moneys worth with me with such a very high interest they gave me and all those payments we have made and now there trying to get interest!! I know they will try to come across like they are right and everyone is so wrong!!! Please don't buy there garbage lies!!! Not fair that they make every customer look like there complains aren't legit or credible!!! That's a lie! !! There whole staff from collections to there supervisors and Managers are all the same you will not get anything done. I wouldn't waste my time writing this if it weren't true. read more

This company is ridiculous...I'm beginning to understand why they have such a terrible rating. We missed December's payment because we ran into a little financial hardship. At the end of December, our 9 year old pitbull was diagnosed with cancer with less than 2 months to live...there was nothing we could do except make him as comfortable as possible, which meant getting him the medicines he needed. We also were in the process of relocating as well, getting new jobs, finding a home, etc. Well, anyone who has ever lost an animal or moved knows that it's a big adjustment period, especially where finances are concerned. My husband had already spoken to a rep and explained a little. They continued to blow up our phones and threatened repossession...for ONE missed payment. My husband spoke to a rep - Veronica was her name. Upon trying to yet again explain things, she popped off to my husband with "well it sounds like you can't afford it. You should just do voluntary repossession." Veronica, unless you run my household and know my bills, you really don't have any room to comment upon my finances, ma'am. Instead of being compassionate and understanding about our situation, she chose to be cold, judgemental and rude. We finally made a payment after figuring some funds out. Ms. Veronica, I pray that you are never in a situation where you're struggling. And if you are, I pray that someone is kind and compassionate towards you...it would be a wonderful lesson for you to experience. In the meantime, please, keep your comments and judgement towards my finances to yourself, thank you and God bless. -Wendy Ball read more

It's not 5-star service, but the last conversation I had with CIG, I spoke with Rhonda De Los Monteros, who was very nice. Nancy Corea is nice as well. I had one issue in the past, where I knew I was going to be a little short, so I called and asked to move my automatic deduction a few days from the scheduled date (which is always 2 weeks before actual due date). The woman I spoke with (can't remember her name) told me I couldn't but not to worry about it because when they go for the funds and they see it isn't all there, they make a second attempt a few days later, by which time, the funds would be available on my end. She assured me I had nothing to worry about...that is until I received a call stating I was late. Never had a late payment since I got the car, so I wound up coughing up previous month's, current month's, a late fee, and a fee to pay it over the phone. I also wish that ALL of the staff were professional, not just one or two. Just because it's a finance company that handles "high risk" consumers, does not mean the consumer should receive less than professional customer service. read more
