My 1999 Pontiac with 177k finally bit the dust. it was an ugly car--a true "Hooptie" but the only reason i drove it was because i had Terrible credit and didnt feel like going through the humiliation of trying to finance anything with the credit i had.. CIG financial were the only one who would finance my loan--so, not knowing much about them, and even after reading all the bad reviews, reality told me that my choices were next to None ( screw walking) so i signed up for a loan with CIG.. my interest was obviously High (I felt every percentage point go right through my A..) but i finally had a new car .. I never missed a payment and they never had to harrass me. i have since refinanced my loan (with a conventional bank) and my payment is now HALF of what it used to be. CIG is not cheap, but just like any other bank, if you dont fulfill your obligations they will come after you. i gave 4 stars because i refinanced after only 15 months into my loan. i had a good experience with CIG, i would recommend CIG to anybody in a similar situation--but warn them,, Make your payments--Dont make excuses. read more

I had purchased a vehicle with Autonation finance and was told it would be financed with Toyota financial which was a lie. It ended up being CIG/Autonation financial. When I received the welcome packet from the company it stated that if I wanted to do online payments it would be a $6 charge per payment. That is $72 bucks a year. The only way for them not to charge would be to send a check, hello 1984 or do autopay. What a scam. After one payment, I refinanced to Capital One. Even Notice of Estoppel. They attempted to steal my automobile in the middle of night in March and have now stolen it from an impound lot and are attempting to hide it from me with all my personal property inside. The CIG financial LLC website is so not user friendly. I've tried multiple times to make a payment online and it won't take my account number because it is too short. I've called the automated service and I have an account number error issue as well. After entering in the same information 100 times it finally works, but I have to go through that every month. It's funny because you can never get through to an agent either if you try to call them directly to help with any payment issues. After explaining to them that the car was traded in, I needed the title for the car, they referred me to a manager. Steer clear of these predators. After racking up some serious medical bills I unfortunately needed to use a sub-prime car loan service. I put over $12k down, and have made my payments (usually over payments) early or on time for over 2 years... however due to an oversight on my part I ended up being 4 days late. The obnoxious phone calls were ridiculous. They are relentless and ruthless, hostile and condescending to no end. They know my car is worth much more than owed, it was painfully obvious how anxious they were to repo (steal) it. Four days late, I repeat 96 hours... and they were threatening me with repo! They hounded me several times an hour, even after telling them it was an oversight that would be corrected promptly after work. I was at work during this harassment and unable to conduct a financial transaction. That didn't matter to them, they kept blowing up my phone with vile insults and threats. Oh, how much was I late? $46.00 lol. Dealer F&I guys take notice. You also have some responsibility to not shop loans to such unscrupulous companies. Here are my two cents about this place. I've typically had good credit in the past but in the last year hit a rough patch. My partner and I needed a second car so he can get to work independently. He is also a first time buyer. Right now, I get that we are not the ideal customers for a car loan. However, a year ago I bought my car, brand new on 0 financing. I've owned and financed 3 cars total. Never once was late or missed a payment. That being said, can I please have a chance to be a deadbeat before I am treated like one. My partner is fresh out of college and one phone call was from an agent who sounded completely dumbfounded that he had no job history. They've called every day with something new to harass me about and we haven't even made our first payment. I don't miss payment so here's hoping that I never have to deal with them again. Like the other reviewers, I am thankful to have been able to get financing a few years back when I was still recovering from troublesome financial times (ie college and bad luck). It doesn't stop this company from completely sucking and being stuck in the stone ages. Their customer service has gotten somewhat better over the last year or so, but the people working for their company usually either flat out do not know what they are doing, don't care about their jobs, or are just incredibly unprofessional. It seems like they do not really train their employees very well. I've had people act sarcastic to me, or not apologize when a mistake has been made. Once I went into their office and the staff was super rude and standoffish to me when I asked for a receipt for the payment I had just made. Their website flat out sucks. The fact that you cannot go online and track your previous payments, or see your payoff amount is totally irritating. Any company that asks you to use western union in my opinion is downright sketchy. I usually prefer to make all of my payments online because it helps me keep things organized, but their website has been up and down for the last few months, so I've been having to make payments over the phone, which sometimes causes me to make them a day or two late because I don't have time to call and talk to their automated thing. I just called to get my payoff amount, and they gave me an amount that was $1000 more than when I called about 2 weeks ago, and they had no record of me being given a payoff amount from the date 2 weeks ago. This company is ridiculous...I'm beginning to understand why they have such a terrible rating. We missed December's payment because we ran into a little financial hardship. At the end of December, our 9 year old pitbull was diagnosed with cancer with less than 2 months to live...there was nothing we could do except make him as comfortable as possible, which meant getting him the medicines he needed. We also were in the process of relocating as well, getting new jobs, finding a home, etc. Well, anyone who has ever lost an animal or moved knows that it's a big adjustment period, especially where finances are concerned. My husband had already spoken to a rep and explained a little. They continued to blow up our phones and threatened repossession...for ONE missed payment. My husband spoke to a rep - Veronica was her name. Upon trying to yet again explain things, she popped off to my husband with "well it sounds like you can't afford it. You should just do voluntary repossession." Veronica, unless you run my household and know my bills, you really don't have any room to comment upon my finances, ma'am. Instead of being compassionate and understanding about our situation, she chose to be cold, judgemental and rude. We finally made a payment after figuring some funds out.
