I recently worked with John Paul who was able to assist me with a credit card approval. The process was so easy and John made sure to answer every question and do all the foot work for me. You never get this service at a big corp bank like B of A or Wells Fargo. Nuvison customer service is always main priority! I also have been working with Nuvison for this past year and couldn't be happier with the entire team here and at all branches. If you go into Costa Mesa location at 17th make sure you ask for JOHN PAUL he is the man! Thank you John for being there for my family and I. Nuvison please make sure recognition is given to John as he deserves it! read more

A few months back I had an issue depositing a check which resulted in my account becoming overdrawn. I was extremely upset and, during my break, I drove to the nearest NuVision branch on 17th Street in Costa Mesa. When I walked in, I was visibly frustrated--but Tess greeted me with kindness and professionalism. I explained my situation to her, and she immediately calmed me down and took care of the issue on the spot. Her sweet and understanding demeanor, along with how efficiently she resolved everything, completely turned my day around. Honestly, it was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I also mentioned a dispute that I had been trying to resolve over the phone for over a month. Tess took the initiative and had it fully resolved by the next day. Since then, I've continued to work with her directly whenever I have any issues--because she's that reliable and helpful. Tess is truly an asset to your team, and I hope her exceptional service is recognized. She made a stressful situation feel manageable, and I'm very grateful for her support. read more

Had my funds invested in CD's with NV. Attempt to get these funds back once maturity date was completed. Customer service was lacking ability to resolve issues with transfers to another institution. I was frustrated with their services. Wouldn't deposit $$ here again. read more

Bryan Osorio exceeded my expectations with his assistance today. He helped me after a wire transfer was declined and looked into why my direct payments were not processing. He was kind and patient, qualities that are increasingly rare today. read more

I have been with Nuvision Credit Union for over 35 years & today I spoke with Daniel several times today as he was helping me to link my Money Network EED debit card to my checking account. I called Daniel back each time I talked to Money Network as they ARE NO HELP AT ALL. Daniel called his IT people to ask for help with linking my debit card to my checking and called me back. He called IT another few times with different questions trying to assist me with this issue as I live over 100 miles to drive one way. Daniel is a very kind, patient young man & he went above and beyond to try to help me! I would refer anyone I know, young or older to stop into the 17th street Nuvision Credit Union & meet Daniel! Daniel really knows how to provide World Class Customer Service so stop in to say Hi and to have Daniel assist you with all or any of your banking transactions you need! Thank you Daniel, you made the frustrating situation less frustrating with his kindness :) Antoinette read more

Very disappointed in my experience with Nuvision Federal Credit Union. I received a suspicious phone call which later became a voicemail on my voice mailbox from someone who sounded like they were in a tunnel, who was "running a security check" on the card I have with Nuvision. The caller provided a "case number", and then a number to call them back with. This is a number that is not listed on the Nuvision website. When I tried calling this number, the person on the other line kept asking for information they should already have, considering that I was given a "case number" - they were trying to get me to verify the phone number on the account, my name on the account, my address - pretty much information that you wouldn't really feel comfortable giving over the phone to someone you don't know. So I hung up on the creepy lady and now have to waste time out of my day tomorrow to call Nuvision's call center. My issue with this is if this is indeed their "Fraud" department, why is it outsourced? My OTHER credit union that I belong to and adore - does not outsource their fraud department. When I call, I already feel comfortable about being helped because I call the same number that is listed on their website, so I know whoever picks up on the other line is legitimate. In this day and age where identity theft runs rampart, financial institutions should be doing more to safeguard their member's private information, rather than potentially expose them to more danger by outsourcing their "Fraud Department" to a suspicious third-party whose number they won't even list on their website. I'm not going to readily provide information that this phone rep should have had from the "case number" I was provided. Very disappointing indeed. Since Nuvision has decided to outsource their Fraud Department to this third-party and by doing so, associate themselves with the service, I consider Nuvision responsible for my uncomfortable experience trying to clear this "security check" on my card. Get your act together Nuvision. You should be able to afford in-house fraud services who treat your Members with courtesy and respect. read more

The dealer finance our car through this Credit Union, after a few days a representative call us to check if everything was ok (Ivan) he offered to consolidate some of our credit card debts and lower our interest rate on another car we own. Tess Bermudez at Costa Mesa NuVision Federal Credit union went above and beyond with helping my wife and I. We had been in contact with the Edinger Branch. The employee there (# ) was not helpful at all. She did not fill out our paperwork correctly and was unsure of herself. Her manager had to step in and help her. We did not want to renew my wifes IRA at the rate offered and stated so. We wanted to roll it over into another account with a higher rate. She checked the wrong box! Tess was able to fix everything and offered us an IRA CD at a higher intrest rate. Thanks to Tess, we were able to get our dilemma solved and because of her good service we opened any additional CD at $5,000 and a third one at $15,000. Tony & Celia read more

Jimmy was a life saver! I needed a lawyer who wanted quite a bit of money that I had to get together in ONE DAY! I was so stressed and had no idea what to do. When I came into this branch, Jimmy was immediately empathetic and did all he could to get me a loan quick. I had come in on my lunch break and had to go back to work, but he was in contact with me all day via email and phone trying his best to do what he could for my situation. Everything ended up working out despite the time crunch and I OWE IT ALL TO JIMMY. What a great, caring employee. Couldn't imagine or have asked for better customer service. So thankful for caring people like Jimmy.. never leaving NuVision because of him! read more

I needed a place to vent and let's just say I found it. Nuvision, you royally screwed up. The app was perfectly fine. Why fix something that isn't broken? Why??? I loved baking with you all these years, minus the long queues and forever waiting for the next rep to answer my call. I can't even access anything right now. NOTHING. Thanks for taking care of my financial needs. Time to pack and find a new home. read more

I am happy to change my negative review to a positive one after multiple team members reached out, provided clarification, apologies where necessary & solutions to the issues I had. When an establishment cares enough to not only respond and address concerns, but provide solutions, they earn my life long business and respect. Thank you to Kim & branch manager Rachel for going above and beyond for your clients. If anyone is looking for a federal credit union bank with intimate customer service and employees who genuinely care, take a visit to NuVision. Thank you for responding quickly and helping one of your clients out. I appreciate it! read more

I want to start off by saying how thankful I am for finding Nuvision Credit Union. I am beyond appreciative and grateful for the amazing service and experience I received by Ivan Echivarre. He made the impossible, possible for me. For a year and a half I was trying to get a loan to buy myself a truck again since my old truck got totalled in an accident a year and a half ago. After sitting down with Ivan and telling him about how I've been having bad luck on getting a loan, he explained to me how everything works at Nuvision and the things that he can do to help get me the loan the I need. Ivan made my dreams come true by making it possible for me to be able to get a loan and to be able to fix my credit as well. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who is trying to get their finances in order or are trying to get the loan they desire to go and see Ivan at Nuvision in Costa Mesa 17th street. read more

This review is for Nuvision as an entity, particularly their loans process, and not necessarily this branch, it just happens to be my home branch. It makes sense to me that going through an online debt consolidation company or somewhere that you don't have a history with to deny a small loan request outright, but for your credit union (who is supposed to be for the people and not the same as every other corporate bank) to deny a perfectly reasonable application from someone with good credit without a conversation with the person is offputting. And then to be told over the phone basically they aren't going to answer questions or consider anything besides your credit report is even more offputting. Nevermind the fact that I had a loan with them years before which I paid off early. Nevermind that the loan I'm asking for would help eliminate the debt to income ratio problem they saw in my credit report (cause my credit and income are good enough to get me a house and two cars). Just....no. And I've run my own credit report and have a good rating! I've been relatively happy with them as banking institutions go, it's just disappointing to learn that they aren't really any different than other banks. read more

Itzel was amazing with helping me refinance my car and save so much money every month. she was kind, knowledgeable and hard working. She worked fast and when she wasn't able to get back to me right away because she was with another member, she had her colleague call me to keep the process moving forward. best part is she helped from her branch in California while I was in Alaska. second car loan with Nuvision and I would highly recommend them for financin. Itzel got me the lowest finance rate. read more

Great organization! Glad I refinanced from here. Good rates & customer service. Online website is user friendly too.

I came in to this branch with one specific request - to change the date of my car payment which I financed through Nuvision. I was greeted by Ryan Grimes when I walked in who was super welcoming, friendly and personable. Not only was he able to change my payment date (which was the only request I had), but he also went out of his way to help me refinance my car. He was able to cut my interest rate in half AND lower my monthly payment. But Ryan's outstanding customer service didn't end there! He also got me approved for a Visa Rewards credit card. The process throughout all of these changes was so easy! I was inside the branch for only about 15 minutes while Ryan worked his magic. Out of every bank, bar, marketplace, store, etc. I've ever been to, he is by far one of the best workers I've ever met. Thanks Ryan! My lil Nuvision angel. read more

What can I say about this place other than it's awesome. I had been all over town trying to secure a private party used car loan and none of the major banks offer that service any more. A friend suggested a credit union so I stopped by and within an hour I had the loan dialed in. Ryan Grimes was a huge help with my credit as well he took the time to teach me all the things that could negatively effect my credit. Which I had no idea about and he worked with me on my auto loan to help consolidate some of my debt and help get my credit cleaned up and back on the right track. A++ service highly recommend read more

NFCU is one of the best in the business in my book. I have banked with them since I was 16 years old and I'm 29 now. I have always had a great experience with them. I also have 2 car loans with them and just closed my 3rd today. I walked into this new branch a couple months ago and met Ivan. I cannot express and thank Ivan E. Enough for the smooth and amazing process of this all, i spoke to him once on the phone and the rest via email and txt, i got to work all day and he did everything for my fiancé and I. He even went as far as dropping the check off himself to the dealer. Ivan is a true blessing and asset to this branch, I will be recommending him to all my friends and family. If this is your home branch I strongly suggest you get Ivan's information, this guy will treat you right. Thank you again for the amazing and smooth process! read more

I use this institution for different account needs and they have been great so far. They are always welcoming, easy to work with & take care of things efficiently and timely. The only downside is they are not as widely located as other bank institutions out there. That still, however, doesn't hinder me from using them. read more

I recently purchased my second car using Nu-Vision credit union. Ivan Echivarre the representative from Nu-Vision has helped both times. His customer service, informative updates, professionalism has been nothing but superb. He has made buying a car very easy and as we all know dealing with dealerships are troublesome. Ivan answered all my questions and went above and beyond. His manager Tess Bermudez and Nu-Vision should be proud to have an employee like him and his actions show that they themselves are teaching great customer service. I never write Yelp reviews, but if you want to be treated like family and with your satisfaction being of the utmost priority, you need to schedule an appt with Ryan Grimes at Nuvision Credit Union. I applied for an auto loan at Nuvision back in September after my car got totalled, and was unfortunately denied. My credit wasnt the greatest and I had to settle for a high interest, high monthly payment car loan with a big bank lender. Six months go by and I get a call from Ryan saying that although I was denied six months ago, after reviewing my old application he believed I could still be approved. I was stoked! He was 100% transparent with me every step of the way and explained the good, bad and the ugly in an understanding, unintimidating, and optimistic way and I believe he truly had my best interest at heart. Not only was he able to refinance my auto loan and save me almost $200 a month, he also explained what other options I had available to me and was able to consolidate my credit card debt and ultimately save me more money and help my credit overall. I'm sincerely grateful for his professional expertise and warm customer service. read more

AMAZING! EPIC! I have had a personal account at Nuvision for 10+ years, and they have been great for anything we needed including a car loan. During the Coronavirus pandemic our normal business bank Chase, was very disappointing with the rollout. Somehow before they started accepting applications for the Care Act PPP program, Chase had given Ruth Chris Steak House 22 million dollars, us ZERO. I realized they weren't helping true small businesses, so I sent an email to Nuvision. I got a reply within hours, submitted our application and required paperwork the next day 4/8 and began working with Derek Dykman and he had it approved and submitted on 4/15. Derek came through! My PPP loan was approved when Chase was out of funds. Nuvision is fortunate to have Derek, and their Small Business team!! In Costa Mesa I worked with Ryan and Virginia setting up my Business account. They went above and beyond too! This is the kind of bank I am working with from now on! read more
