I have had my Corporate account with CW for 10 years and having had other Banks over the last 35 years I know the difference. CW is by far above the standard set by the banking industry. The Chairman Ivo Tjan is a exceptional Business resource. I highly recommend Commerce West to any business client that wants a entrepreneurial Bank. RWL read more

Terrible "bank". Does not report to your credit unless it's derogatory. No one seems to know what's going on with the Loan. Best thing I did was refi out of this "bank". read more

I wouldn't recommend it they have false locations on google and it's a hassle just to try and get a hold of someone and they make you feel very unwelcomed over the phone. read more

We recently switched our business banking relationship to CWB. John Tran and Jim Quackenbush worked with us to re-think how they underwrite our credit. The result is that their creativity created a great solution for our business. We cannot sing their praises loudly enough. read more

We have been clients of CWBK for about 10 years. Very entrepreneurial and caters to your business needs, making sure they can support you within their guidlines, even if your business does not fit within the norms. A value that will never be available with larger regional/national banks. Highly recommended read more

I have been with CommerceWest for over 20 years and the service is at the top. As a small architectural firm, I have qualified for many lines of credits with CommerceWest and other financial items when I did not qualify at other banks. They understand how to look at a business and that business's prospects rather just looking at the financials. Those are important but so are a business's prospects and upcoming opportunities. Sean Healy was great to work with on our new line of credit! Here is to another year together! read more

We transitioned from another bank (starts with Bank ends with West) approximately 1 year ago and have been very satisfied and with their online platform, technology, and most of all their excellent customer service lead by Ivo Tjan and his team, more specifically our personal account manager Ahmed Chawla. Ahmed is very responsive to our needs, helps manage our account and makes sure all transactions are done in a timely manner, more importantly, correctly, which was one of the many challenges we had with our previous bank. I would highly recommend CommerceWest Bank! read more

I recently had an issue and I needed help from the bank. Lucky me, I got Kevin on the phone and he was not only extremely pleasant to work with, he was super helpful in solving my dilemma. He walked me through the steps and went out of his way to make sure my problem was solved quickly and efficiently. He's an excellent representation of the personal service I've received throughout my years with Commerce West Bank! read more

I can not say enough about the team at Commerce West! The staff there really makes me feel like I can rest easy in situations that would make you super stressed at other banks. I really appreciate the way whomever answers the phone helps you immediately. A thumbs up to Elizabeth and Kevin! Thanks again Team! read more

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately my loan was sold to them so I'm stuck. Their website is archaic and not at all user friendly. Customer service was rude and not at all helpful. Considering how web-friendly all other banks are at the moment, dealing with CWB is like going back to the early 2000's. Can't wait to get my loan paid off so I don't have to deal with them. read more

Susan and Maya have a thorough understanding of their clients' needs and there bank's abilities to provide. They are always available and have quick-thinking ability to provide solutions for clients that they weren't even aware were possible. They are an asset for everyone, whether they are your banker or a resource person. read more

About a year ago Ivo spoke to my Vistage group and prior to his talk I asked him about refinancing my commercial building. Ivo and his team put together a great package for the building mortgage, a supplemental credit line, plus we have gradually moved our business accounts over to Commerce West. The service has been great, so much different than dealing with the bureaucracy of a large bank. read more

Our startup banks with CWB and I've gotta say, I'm loving the experience. Since they're exclusively a business bank, handling a business bank account feels easy and intuitive. Nate, my personal banker, has been a rockstar ally, and I can't wait to continue working with them! Highly recommend. read more

Vanessa is amazing!!! Always super helpful when we need her and responds in a timely matter. We love banking with CWB!!!

I've been working with Commerce West Bank since 2007 for my business and I am very pleased with the personalized service. I am not just a number to them as I was to other big banks. They take the time to dig into the details of my business and my strategies for the company and that has allowed them to support the growth of my business for some time now financially. I also have personal relationships with a number of representatives from CWBK. I also appreciate Ivo's insight and roundtables about business climates each year which helps me plan accordingly. . read more

While I currently have an account with Com-West, I live in Texas and must access my account through my PC. The web site is NOT user friendly.... Many resources/information that were available to me from another lending institution are NOT available now (even when I requested them for my use).... The statement i receive, phone number offered, and website do NOT offer/show hours of operation, thus I had to find it in a google search (and assume moreover) they have the most lax of "banker's hours". Further, it is impossible in my time zone to do certain things when I want without having to wait till the bank is open to call for an associate's help. read more

Great service. They were very accomodating on a special request. Jim Q. has been great to work with. Their CEO, Ivo, even stopped by our office to say hi. What bank does that? If you want a more personalized approach to banking, go with CommerceWest. They stepped in when we needed help. read more

Highly recommend Commerce West. I work with Kevin most of the time and he is quick and always happy to help!

If you are with this bank, Diego is very helpful and takes care of us! I hope you get Diego as your rep

Diego is the absolute best! Always so happy to help and gets all issues resolved ASAP!

We have been banking with CommerceWest Bank for the last few years and they have been great! They respond to our requests right away, are very helpful, and just nice people! None of us at our company has once had an interaction that was unpleasant, which is so different from the other banks. And, at the other banks, nothing gets completed the firs time. I have to call another number, or make an appointment to meet with a specialist... Everything has been seamless at CommerceWest. read more

You know I've had a loan with you all for the last two years and about 4 months ago I started getting notices that my payments were not making it there, now I have a government allotment going to you and when I inquired about it thru DFAS Defense finance and accounting office. They informed me that your bank returned the check and this happened for two months now after several conversations I find out that you changed the account number so I setup a new allotment with the new account number and I guess that fixed the problem so to confirm it was good I called your loan manager and he said that I have a 10 day grace period and if he doesn't call by the 20th of last month I was good to go well the 20th came and went and no call so I thought I was good. Well so I thought so now I got a call today and now all the sudden you did not get the payment. I don't know what's going on with your bank and Im really getting tired of dealing with this underhanded crap. Either fix your problems or we can do this the legal rout. Thank you read more

Diego was very helpful. My request was handled with kindness and patience. Thank you, Karlyne

Went in Irvine to cash in a settlement check but unfortunately, the receptionist said that they don't cash in their OWN issued settlement check. Asked the lady the reason and she said " coz we don't know if the check was already been cash out" WTF is that? Don't they have the syatem to check it? And take note, she didnt even look at the computer, juat looked at the check and said that. O well, never heard of this bank. read more

PropVest Property Management recently switched over to Commerce West Bank approximately three months ago. We spent months researching different banks and no one can even come close to providing for us what Commerce West Bank is providing. We are between a growth spurt and didn't really qualify at other banks for the benefits Commerce West has provided us. They believe in us and are prepared to grow with us. That's a big deal for us. Scott Armstrong, James Thomas & Linda Cardoza not only provided exceptional service but, they made the whole experience of transitioning our clients' accounts easy and painless for us and our clients. They have saved me a huge headache and time. I can't thank them enough and I am so grateful they were referred to us. They are golden. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Very satisfied customer. I have been a customer of Commerce West Bank for over 10 yrs. I have had the best experience with them due to the exceptional customer service provided. I had to get a rating to one of my vendors and they (Warren) from the San Marcos branch provided a detailed letter explaining our years with them and how my vendor would benefit by giving us the acct. Needless to say we were approved. EXCEPTIONAL is the word that describes how we are treated by the entire staff. Thank you for your exceptional customer service!! read more

I have had my business and personal accounts at CommerceWest Bank since the bank was founded....well over ten years. Prior to that, I banked at several large national chains and was always dissatisfied with their constant turnover and attitude towards the customer. At the Newport branch each and every banker in the office knows my name, takes the time to understand my needs and takes a personal interest in fulfilling those needs. Keep up the great work! I have been with CommerceWest for at least 5 years now. In addition to just the normal banking activities, which they make incredibly easy, I also have attended their free topical seminars and used their concierge service. Who offers concierge service to all their customers?! Its fantastic! I have banked with various regional banks for a long time before CWBK so I'm not surprised when I experienced that same familiar intimacy with this bank. However, to have the concierge service is a big bank benefit that I've never seen anywhere. I also love the fact that they took the time to give a tour to my daughters to explain how currency gets into circulation and their vaults to take the mystery out of banking in an age where plastic has replaced cash. I am grateful for their ongoing service and going above and beyond. read more
