I have a dispute with a service provided by a professional. Chase informed me that in order to open a dispute on my Freedom credit card that I would have to provide a notarized statement by an expert. I replied that I would be happy to do that as long as I was reimbursed for my time and money to obtain an expert opinion. The very unprofessional representative was unwilling to guarantee reimbursement for my time and any out-of-pocket costs to so do. She was rude and talked over me. I went into this branch to deposit some cash and it took me almost 30 minutes to complete while the other branch I usually go only took 5-8 minutes to process. So I spoke to the manager Nicole and suggested that they should adopt the same efficient process like the other branch dose. The manager Nicole insisted about what they are doing at this branch is right and said she will talk to the other branch manager about it. She then apologized and rolled her eyes. Her body language told me."Sorry, but not sorry!". Two weeks later I went back to the branch I normally go and found out Nicole had told the other branch manager to stop helping me the way they use to. Yay!! I am so excited that they opened this Chase branch walking distance from my work building. This makes it really convenient for me to grab some quick cash on my breaks or my lunch hour when I'm about to head to one of those 'cash only' spots for lunch. There is one standard ATM located outside of the bank, to the left of the main entrance. Inside there are a few offices set up for you to do fancy banking. Other than that, there is usually one person standing around to help since the tellers have been replaces by these new fancy high tech ATMs that will let you do-it-yourself. I can see this being a struggle for people like my mom who are less tech-savy, especially when there is only one person around to help out. This really defeats the purpose of actually going inside of a bank. On a nicer note, I really like that these high tech do-it-yourself teller-replacement ATMs allow me to withdraw my bills however I like them. It's like monopoly and you can choose which bills you receive: 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s, 50s, 100s. Sorry 2s, you aren't an option. If you aren't fancy with your change, they also have a preset option for you to choose if you can't do the math yourself. No pressure! I usually get really annoyed at the person trying to help me out with these ATMs so I prefer going before their business hours early in the morning. During their non-business hours, everything is separated by the gate except for one fancy high tech ATM. If you have your chase card, the door will open up for you and this one fancy ATM would be accessible. read more

This 1 star review is strictly for "branch manager Miranda" (VERY difficult to believe this woman's a branch manager at a JP Morgan Chase, hiring error?!) and JPM Chase, the rest of the staff here are outstanding! I have been a business banking customer of chase for approx 5 years. In this time, we've deposited over $15,000,000 w/ Chase into our account. Today, at 11:00AM, both my personal and business cards were declined. I contacted chase and was informed my accounts had been restricted/closed, it was a back office decision and that was final. I was kind of taken aback and thought it may be an error, so I came into this branch. I was met by an extremely combative Miranda who told me my accounts were frozen, it was impossible to withdraw my money and she didn't have an answer as to why. After going back and forth and coming across like she was doing me a favor by allowing me to withdraw my money from their bank, she "allowed me" to clear out my personal accounts but wouldn't let me withdraw the remaining funds from my business account. I asked to review a copy of the account agreement I signed to see if there was anything I'd signed off on that allows them to freeze my funds, there is not. We have payroll today, and as a result of Miranda's refusal to even offer the most basic level of empathy and customer service or willingness to come up with a solution, my employees are now paycheckless until at least Monday, when I can attempt to get my money out of my chase business account. If you own a business, it is naturally difficult to run your business if your funds are frozen. Therefore, I highly encourage any business client NOT to bank here, as you run the risk of your money being frozen at any point in time and if you're lucky Miranda may look into it! NOT a situation you or your business needs to be in. read more

For the location and knowing how busy they would be, this chase location is so lackluster. I came in around 2 p.m, sacrificing a lunch hour at work so I could close my account. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly man. He was super helpful and asked me to wait for a banker. He quoted me 15 minutes and I understood that the bank did not have tellers and instead were manned by the self serve atm machines, a couple of randomly placed workers, and a couple of bankers. I waited for the 15 minutes and got a little huffy with when it broached 25 minutes. A girl worker comes up and tells me it'll be more time after she notices that I am getting huffy while she helped another customer before me. Fine. But then it got ridiculous. She asked me if I knew I had to wait. I told her I did. I told her the gentleman said it would be 15 minutes. It was over that. She then tells me that I should make an appointment and come back later. At that point, I rolled my eyes. Not because she was being "helpful" but because she said it so condescendingly. Her voice dripped with disdain and attitude. When I told her all I wanted to do was to close my account, she finally told me I could do it all over the phone. OH THANK YOU. THANK YOU for connecting me to someone else I won't have to wait for. This chase is a complete waste of time and will suck any goodness you have in your life. Ridiculous. read more

Most banks are the same...cold, impersonal and generally staffed by inexperienced (but usually attentive) people. This one was a pleasant surprise. They have a full staff of tellers and banking professionals, all eager to help. I came in to open a new account and I was greeted immediately. Within five minutes, I was knee deep and completing the necessary forms. Angela walked me through my options without over-selling services but making sure to mention those that might be of interest. A few days later, she called me back to check in my satisfaction. Good, old-fashioned customer service. Definitely happy so far. read more

Thoroughly irritated. I was greeted rudely by a banker, or possibly a management member of some sort. I asked if there were teller windows because I didn't see any- I was pushed to use the machine. I get it, there are new machines, and I'm aware of how to use them... but please don't follow me and hover right over me watching me do my transaction and telling me how to use the machine after I already told you I know how to use it. It really isn't necessary. The whole time, this teller was inspecting my transaction telling me what to do, and each time I told her I know how to use it. Chase is just becoming such an unpleasant place to bank. Will never come to this location again. read more

I was helped out by John who did a phenomenal job in helping me out set a savings account. Everyone was warm and pleasant. I will continue to go here for any sort of Chase matters. Worst branch ever, employees are not helpful at all. 1st time i asked to do a transfer they told me to wait and I had to leave after waiting for 20min. 2nd time I asked to order a new atm card, asked for my DL's, then punch in my ss#, then ask for another form of ID, did all of that then said sorry we cannot print you a new atm card today. I only gave 1 star because of the atm machine outside. Other than that, they should just close the branch out, leave the atm machine outside, and Chase will save $ from paying useless employees who sit around doing nothing. I am SO happy they opened this bank across the street from where I live. I do most of my banking online, but had to go in for a name change and they were GREAT. I walked in with my 2 year old girl and they gave her paper and crayons and offered me Colombian coffee (they have Stevia, which is great!). The bank is brand new and very very modern. I love it! SO much that I've been back twice. Everyone in this branch is really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Totally recommend! read more

As the other reviews stated they have a spew of atm machines inside the bank, but I've never been forced to use them. But I know we have all had to wait behind someone who could've just used the ATM so other customers can get access to the tellers for other services. So maybe that's why the lines are shorter here-- so that's a plus! Other than that the staff have all been great here. There's also always some cute manager chick that looks like Kim Kardashian that works in the first office haha anyways, come to this bank and welcome to the future. read more

This is a terrible excuse for a bank. It's like total recall meets back to the future, they have these pseudo robots/atms acting as virtual tellers. I just want to deposit my money and make sure the whole balance is available as well as be interacting with a HUMAN, albeit miserable happy smiling face. There are no teller windows, just a row of ATM machines and when I've needed to conduct business beyond an ATM the wait time for human assistance has been ridiculous especially considering how many employees are in the building. Most recently I simply needed smaller change from what I received from the ATM. Cash in hand I was asked to sit down because there was "one client ahead" of me. Ten minutes later, and while two people who walked in after me were helped, I left (when I again asked for assistance I was told I still needed to wait). They could use a lesson in customer service from the excellent Laguna Beach or Corona del Mar branches. Never coming back here again. read more

She should be nominated as manager of the year by Chase. I got tired of the rude treatment at Bank Of America and are now switching all my accounts over to her. She made the transfer process so simplified and goes well beyond to make sure your experience there was completely satisfied. Sit down desk where you can actually sit down to talk to the representative rather standing in long lines like I did at Bank of America.
