Prime New York Strip Steak 14oz with side of chimichurri sauce
    Meri A.

Fine dining at Morongo Casino! This steakhouse was an awesome pick for a celebratory dinner. With reservations, they sat my group on the second floor which overlooked the bottom of the restaurant. The Saturday evening I came, it was my first time at Cielo and the casino. Jared was outstanding and attentive, Juan was nice and friendly, and Gerardo the manager was awesome. Drink: Smoked Mezcal Paloma- yummy and fun presentation Appetizer: Crispy Calamari- flavorful Entree: Prime New York Strip Steak 14oz with side of chimichurri sauce- tasty with wonderful presentation Sides: Corn- amazingly delicious Dessert: Poached Pear Torte- excellent Overall, our dining experience was terrific! The atmosphere and ambiance was fantastic and elevated, service was kind and professional, and the perfect steakhouse for a special meal.

It's been a few years since we came up to the top of Morongo casino for the panoramic views of the desert floor and surrounding mountains including the majestic Mt. San Jacinto. The place is as fresh as the last time, Likely 15 years ago. Wow, time flies! The food servers are all very attentive, the house bread basket has a Nice selection.Everyone is dressed nicely, but it is the desert, so there are, sufficed to say, a number of people in shorts to make us not conspicuous. Very nice live pianist with a beautiful voice. Service was very nice and food was also very good. My only regret was not having an earlier reservation to get the full effect of the sunset. It was all good. We'll be back when we have some out of town visitors. Much nicer experience than our last visit.

Cielo does it again just when you think they can't get any better, they surprise you once again. We had the pleasure of celebrating my husband's birthday at Cielo. Our server was Mr. Enrique and his support waiter was Isaiah who was just a joy to be served by. These's two men made our dinner very pleasant and showed us so much attention. The general manager was amazing and came to talk with us and just made us feel like we have known him for years. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with amazing views of the mountains and valley...it's amazing to go during sunset!! We ordered the tomahawk steak special with, loaded mashed potatoes, cream spinach and garlic jumbo shrimp. The calamari was amazing and so was the wedge salad. If you have not been please make reservations to go! Until next time Cielo!

It's a nice place. We take the elevator up to the restaurant. Staff at the elevators are friendly and courteous. Once we reach the table host, we are lead to our tables. Every table and chair has a nice view of the desert. Floor to wall windows. Don't worry if you are not right next to a window. The views are great everywhere. The food was amazing. Drinks are better than the ones at the casino bar. The steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were perfect. Great selection of wine. Great overall experience in dining. Our server had a great sense of humor.

It was our first time visited Morongo and of course we gotta try Cielo,So this is what we think. Vibe : Cozy,Clean, modern and romantic,Specially they add a nice touch with piano and singer with very beautiful voice made it really nice. Food : Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. We ordered Bake Brie,Seabass and 8 oz. Filet.Everything cooked to perfection and we finished our meal with Creme Brûlée which was amazingggg. Service : Our waiter Aaron was seriously the best! So does his helper. He was nice and take very good care of us.We have never have to ask for anything once because they always came around and make sure everything was good and we are good.If I can give service by itself 10 stars I would! Thanks Aaron! Next time we visit Morongo we will definitely be back to Cielo.

Came here for my husband's birthday. We drive by the Morongo casino every time we're heading out to L.A., and were curious about this place, and were told Morongo has great food. The restaurant was on the top floor, very classy and the view was amazing. The server was great and the meal was very good. The ambiance was nice they had a wonderful pianist cranking out the music during our meal. We dressed up a little bit because there was a dress code. The only thing I thought was a bummer was a lot of other people dressed sloppy and were still served. If they don't stand by their dress code then why have one? It would be nice to go to a classy steak house and see people wearing nice clothes instead of sloppy shorts and t-shirts.

The girl with the long black straight hair working the front is really rude and unprofessional. We had about a half an hour before our reservation and we wanted to sit at the bar to wait and she wouldn't let us she said the bartenders had to make drinks for everyone and were too busy for us. Mind you the restaurant was not busy at all. Plenty of empty tables. She doesn't seem seasoned enough to work in an upscale restaurant. I dine at 5 stars all the time in the oc, Beverly Hills and DTLA so I'm used to great service which is expected when you're dropping 200-500$. The manager let us sit at the bar and she got mad at him. Overall the manager and food were great. The girl is giving the restaurant low class vibes.

This is an old review. Husband & I dined here 2 days in a row since we stayed over the weekend at Morongo casino. We first had dinner on a Saturday evening & then AYCE brunch buffet the next day. The ambiance was modern & cozy. We sat by the huge window seating overlooking the desert which was surprisingly nice. They had a Live pianist on Saturday evening which gave the dining experience a romantic vibe. We started off with bone marrow to share which was packed with flavor. Hubby had the ribeye steak & I had Chilean sea bass. The ribeye was tender & cooked to perfection. The sea bass was cooked beautifully. The miso glaze over the fish was delicious & not overly salty. The roasted shiitake mushroom & bok choy were good complement to the dish. We ordered a bottle of red wine which paired very well with our dish. The brunch buffet was solid. It included many different options (appetizers, breakfast items, hot food, prime rib station, seafood, dessert, etc) to choose from. My favorite part at any buffet is always the seafood section. The seafood here was fresh. The Service was attentive & excellent for both dinner & brunch. I'd come here again if I stayed here in the future.

Located on the top floor of the casino, Cielo promises an upscale dining experience--and it delivers. While the restaurant doesn't offer the sweeping desert views one might hope for from such a high perch, its open, airy layout creates a sense of space and calm that's rare in a bustling resort setting. The environment is peaceful with a quiet atmosphere that makes it ideal for a retreat from the casino floor. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff noticed small details. Our server offered excellent recommendations and clearly knew the menu well. We started with the Seafood Pasta, which exceeded expectations. The dish came with a generous variety of fish and shellfish, see my pic, all cooked to perfection. The broth was a rich, buttery base that didn't overpower the seafood but enhanced its natural flavors. The pasta was al dente, soaking up just the right amount of the broth to create a balanced, deeply satisfying bite. The Salmon Filet was equally impressive--moist, delicately, and topped with a light crab sauce that complemented the fish without overwhelming it. The dish tasted as good as it looked. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The dessert itself was light - just the right ending to a rich and flavorful meal. Cielo may not offer panoramic vistas, but it more than makes up for it with its polished service, peaceful ambiance, and standout cuisine.

I had a great dining experience at Cielo inside Morongo Casino. The view was nice and overall the meal was very enjoyable. Excellent service...Arron was my server, and he was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the evening. While I really enjoyed most of the dishes, the only thing that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the lobster bisque. Everything else made up for it, and I would absolutely return for another meal here.

I have eaten here at the bar, for a full meat centric meal, and on my latest trip, an assortment of appetizers and sides. Every time, no matter how big or small the party, the service and food have been stellar. Gorgeous room with a view if you get here before sunset, and later in the evening the huge chandeliers make it a very classically beautiful space. We started with a Caesar which was surprisingly topped with my favorite, white anchovies! The fried calamari with shisito peppers was tender, crunchy and perfect. The buttered mushroom side was a generous serving and very rich with a nice variety of mushrooms. I loved the asparagus, big thick stalks, cooked just enough to be tender. I've eaten their steaks and chops, but tried their steak tartare this time. Handcut quality meat with plenty of cornichons a raw quail egg, but under seasoned. I asked for a side of Dijon which I mixed in and it helped tremendously. The toasted bread on the side was delicious. They carry élit vodka, so I had a nice dirty martini that capped off the evening.

What is the dress code for women?

There isn't a gender specific dress code, I don't think anyone does that anymore. It was varied since it was at a casino from casual to more dressy but I'd say "smart casual" attire regardless of gender.

Do they accept walk ins or is it by reservation only?

Walk in is slim you'd be better off making a reservation. But I have walked in at opening and was seated at the bar.

    What is your dress code?

Semi casual. No shorts, no sandals

Can I bring my own bottle of champagne to drink?

Yes you may we charge a $25 corkage fee for each bottle. We look forward to having you join us for dinner soon.

We ordered the Pomodoro pasta after specifically asking our server if it was dairy-free because one person in our group cannot have dairy. We were told it was. When the dish came out, it had cheese on it. We let them know, and they remade it, but the second one also came out with cheese. It's concerning that after explaining a dietary restriction, the same mistake happened twice. On top of that, our food took about an hour to come out because our order was apparently forgotten. The linguine and clams was also very watery and lacked flavor. It had a slight kick but no real depth, especially for the price. The most frustrating part was when the bill came. We weren't trying to get free food, we just wanted to talk through what happened. Instead, they became defensive and kept saying they had already "taken the loss" by remaking the incorrect dishes. They also said since we ate some of the linguine while waiting for the replacement, they were still going to charge us for it. That was hard to understand because the whole situation started from being given incorrect information about what was dairy-free. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What really left a bad impression was how the situation was handled. Between the hour-long wait, getting the dietary restriction wrong twice, and the defensive response when we brought it up, it wasn't an experience we'd recommend, especially if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.

All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

My girlfriends and I decided to have a girls' night here because we'd been wanting to try this…read moreplace for a while. We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.
